ok it is a new month! And a new day to actually do well on a check-in! I'm sorry I've been slipping. I understand that I have a baby and he is TOP priority, but I could utilize his naptimes better.

-Read Aristotle that was assigned for today (whoops!) -Ponder essay questions -Decide WHICH essay topic to choose -1st run through of math hw- see how many problems I can do Whoo! got like. . .80% done and it's for next Tues :grin:

I pretty much folded up yesterday. I have a project that I think is going to be hard to complete,
so I'm avoiding it it. I think I'll nearly completely clear the decks for this afternoon except for that project and we'll see if I can get it done. I'm starting late because I stayed over at my girlfriend's last night and didn't get to work until about 10 a.m., then had to deliver Meals on Wheels. ANyway...

Birdy went home last night. When he saw his Mom he was so happy, he laughed!!! Was so relieved to see that. They don't want to keep him, but will deal with that when it needs to be dealt with.
Need to call my rescue person and give Snowy up for adoption. My husband will not allow me to keep him. Extremely sad, as I love him. They will take great care of him and I will follow him every step of the way, until he's adopted. I doubt I would be able to see him after he gets adopted, but we'll see.
Until Snowy is safely taken care of, I cannot do much at night. With all the tension and craziness at home, I need to just to minor self care and get to bed early.
Today, at work, have a c.s. to do, that I'm nervous about, turning it over.
To do:
-call Bobbi re: snowy
-talk to Dr. F about Yoffee and what I can do to help her
-do spreadsheet for what I spend
-hair
-brush teeth

Yesterday sucked - I came in early and planned on leaving at 4 to go to the gym and then got stuck working late on a problem, so no gym at all and I ended up working like 12 hours. Now I remember why I don't come in early. Back to morning exercise for me. Also, I HATE working out in the afternoons and I LOVE working out in the mornings - so it's a no brainer. I do spend 30 more minutes in traffic but it's worth it.
Today I've been to the gym AND the dentist and got to work at 10 - now to continue working on yesterday's problem. Today will be a play it by ear day depending on how this problem plays out. But this is why I do this job - the problem solving part is the fun, although a little scary.

Today is a pretty scheduled day: mtgs 10-1, class 3-5, and dancing 8-10:30.
In the gaps, I need to:
*Prep for class
*Deal w/ email (working on this now)
*finish prep for recruiting weekend (working on this now)
*do deacon emails (working on this now)
*check on expts (started), decide strategy
If I have more time, I'd like to come up with PCR and digest strategies, and place orders. Those are lower priority though.
A lovely - if cold - Tuesday morning. I swam 3/4 km last night (30 lengths), and that felt good, but the pool was a bit crowded for my taste. Also walked there from work and then home.
I finally started my presentation slides yesterday (yay!) and expect to have them finished this week to hand off to my assigned partner for their portion. I have class today though, so likely won't get much done on that today.
Today's short list:
- walk home
- stop at bank to transfer/withdraw money
- physio before bed
It is 1pm and I am dressed and have eaten breakfast. I meant to get up in the morning but oh well, no excuse for not going for it this afternoon and evening. I intend to paint my bedroom.
I said yesterday that I would work for 3 hours today and I have ! (3 1/2 actually). I shall call it a day today and not feel guilty. I am moving from a standing start barely able to open my post so three hours is an achievement. I hate decorating and have procrastinated about for years. I will resume tomorrow with at least 3 hours and 20 minutes work including starting to job hunting as well as more decorating.
