Journey 10 am Thanks everyone for the bday wishes yesterday!

I did have a lovely day - I slept late, goofed around for a while, went to get my tags and treated myself to a car wash/cleaning.   We had a takeout dinner and I relaxed more after dinner.   We are having a party this weekend but that is not going to be very relaxing for me since I'm doing all the work lol.

I feel very refreshed and happy to be back at work today.   I'm working from home, I've been to the gym, had a shower and got online in plenty of time for a 9:00 am IBM webcast.    So today is off to a very good start.   I'm going to make my todo list for the rest of the day now, beginning with catching up on all of yesterday's email.

hope4meandu day 17

Thanks lennon for starting us!! Happy to be among you today.

Really depressed and like the commercial says, "depression hurts everyone," and I really see that it does. Finances are a mess (had to spend over $3k on Yoffee's treatment), it all went on a credit card and stopped keeping my numbers. So grateful though, that Yoffee is resting and recovering. Also very grateful that I see my bosses are emotionally sick people and so am I and I pray to have compassion for them and keep remembering this.

Today & Tonight:
-send resumes
-workout
-do hair
-order Yoffee toothpaste
-order water from GG
-send out $ for donations

Sending you all an abundance of prayers!!

READING FOR TODAY

Without discipline, there's no life at all.
  —Katharine Hepburn

Procrastination is habitual. It's perhaps a habit we've struggled with
over the years, and not one that can be willed away. It eats at us, no
doubt. How many times have we gone to bed at night depressed,
discouraged, and angry with ourselves for not finishing a job we
promised ourselves, or someone else, we'd do! Sometimes it feels
hopeless. The tasks awaiting our attention pile up, seem impossible to
complete. But there is hope. The program has offered us an easy
solution.

We have only this day to concern ourselves with. We can break the spell
of procrastination, lethargy, immobility, if we choose. We can pick a
task that needs attention, any task, preferably a small one for today.
Maybe it's writing a letter, or fixing a hem, or making an appointment
to see a doctor. Deciding to do something, and then doing it, breaks
through the barriers that have caged us. Immediately we will sense the
surge of freedom. In this moment we can always act. And any act will
free us.

When procrastination blocks us, our senses are dead to the friends close
to us. It's as though we have stepped outside of the circle of life.
The real gifts of sobriety are beyond our reach when we choose inaction.

I will get free. I will tackle a small task today. It will bless me in special ways.

From Each Day a New Beginning: Daily Meditations

MY BASICS: checking in; support calls (1x); affirmation; gratitudes; reading; check calendar; plan to plan; email my 3 most important tasks; voicemail;
billing from prior day/declutter prior day's email; exercise #1; manage
A; manage D; use timesheet and timer; if mood gets down do exercise #2

I have been consistently checking in for 6 months and if you had asked me 6 months ago, I would have been surprised that recovery is still a slow process. Now I am not surprised but I am making progress. I would like to think that procrastination should be something that could be changed right away but it is a process.  In the past, I would time binge for a month or two (get little sleep and fail to exercise) and catch up and then find myself in the same place 6 months later.  This is a healthier lifestyle.

Sammy ci :: 02/16/11

Morning everyone. Today I am thankful for my amazing family.

To Do:

Breakfast

Class at 10

GD2 assignments

Application

Chair assignment(s)

(((Sammy)))

As a mom, I love seeing "call mom for moral support".  Good for you, Sammy!  I hope your day improved.

"Why not get it done now?"  RexRoth

Good luck sammy!

sorry that you're having a rough day. just take it step by step and I'm sure you will get through what you need to do. Glad to have you here--keep showing up!

Ugh. Rough Day.

Thanking God for new mercies... Just wanting this day to be OVER.

I feel like I'm spiraling out of control, lately. Ugh.

GD2 assignments are not done. Will do what I can between now and class.

Need to spend time in the studio after class working on an assignment due Monday. Wouldn't it feel great to get it done early? Yes. Also need studio time to just center myself, talk to God a little, and figure out where I'm going.

Also To DO: Call mom. I need moral support today.

Morning All :-)

Early meeting today, so of course I got up later than I usually do to get here for regular time. But I was on time at least.

I did not do physio last night, so it turned out to be only a 1 out of 3 score for completion of my list yesterday.

For today:
- more article research/printing for assignments (I'll start reading them this weekend)
- walk home
- do physio tonight
- pack yoga stuff for tomorrow's after work class so I don't have to rush tomorrow morning

Crazybug CI

Extra early check in today so that I can finish a project due by noon. I pray that I have the guidance to wisely choose my moments and my work.

blessings to all here today!

((((AMEN))))
