Hello!

Today I am thankful for a warm place to stay (it is -6F here!), God's new mercies, and my job (i'm a florist, this is the busy season!)

Praying that my friend delivers a happy, healthy baby today..... and praying about the unexplained missed call from a hospital in my home town (did not leave a message).... The two are not related....

 To Do:

Wash, dry, fold laundry (1 load)

Homework for GD2

Class 2:30-530 (leave house at 2)

Possibly go to work after class?

Find time for dinner?

Ceramics studio time

Homework for T/M

Sleep

hope4meandu day 9

Thanks lennon for starting us!! GRATEFULLY, YOFFEE IS HOME AND RESTING and I feel so at peace. So grateful at how amazing this place was, a very corrective experience for her, my husband and me.

Last night managed to do 2 loads of laundry.

Today:
-resumes
-pick up meds & dry cleaning
-laundry
-wash rug?
-work out (hoping for the willingness to work at 3x's this week)

Sitting here at work with no willingness to self-generate, only look for jobs.

Wishing you all a day with tons of completed tasks!!

Yay Hope

I am so glad everything went well with Yoffee.

yay hope!

I'm glad Yoffee is feeling better :)

I've always meant to ask- what sort of dog is she (he?) ?

My family has a Yorkie names Woody who I miss alot while I'm here at school. He's adorable.

Thanks so much (((Katia & Helen)))

You guys, this group, help me so very much!!!

Hey Helen, nice to see you!!! Are you a pet Mom? How are the PA issues going?

Yoffee is a lab/golden/husky, one blue eye & one brown. She's blond & about 70 pds & 10 years old. What a cute name - Woody!! I think of Woody Harrelson on Cheers and, of course, Woody Allen. I love Yorkies. What color? I know when I went away to college and left our German Shepard Gina, it was very hard. When will you and Connor get to go home and visit? Will this be the first time Connor and Woody meet? We are also babysitting our friend's bird, oh the hilarious stories I could tell!!!

(hope)

Those are all beautiful dogs- what a great mix! I had this image that Yoffee was a little dog lol.

Woody is mostly golden blonde with some silver mixed in. He is part silky terrier too. We will be visiting in March, though Connor met Woody his first 6 weeks while I was with my parents. We were afraid Woody wouldn't be good with him (as we read that Yorkies don't do well with kids) but he loves him! He gives Connor kisses on his head (not too many lol).

It's funny though because whenever my mom talks baby talk Woody assumes she is talking to him. We refer to him as "the other baby" lol.

It's so awesome to have pets- they almost always improve your mood! Have a great weekend :)

kromer 10:15 CI

OK, today is a busy day! I slept a little late, but I've already done my spanish studying for the day, so that's good. I need to:
*Score 1 sample
*Final prep for visit weekend, deal w/ email (inc mb)
*start IHC
*go dancing for an hour
*check on expts, change food, do PCR (working on this now), embed
*Read 1 paper
*Work on updating lab nb.

*Prayer time

I also have a mtg 2-3

That's a lot, but I can do it! Going to start w/ 15 min work on scoring, then I'll go check on expts, change food, and embed.

kromer 5:10 update

OK, having a slow day, plus my advisor wants some new things from me, so I'll need to change my plan:
*Finish prep for visit weekend, deal w/ email
*hour of exercise
*PCR and embedding
*rough proposal for MK
*Prayer time
*read 1 paper

and the IHC and lab nb and scoring will have to wait

Got off to a better start today. Maybe last night's lengthy sleep helped to clear my head a little.

Still waffling about on what system of organization works best for me.  My issue is that I keep swithing around and won't just settle on one!  I am making the commitment now to stick with my most recent iteration for an entire week, regardless.  At the end of the week I will evaluate it's strengths and weaknesses.

Need to make a days list now.

"Today I will not waste one ...moment on gossip, ridicule, envy, self-pity, anger, guilt, arrogance, need, impatience, regret, manipulation, jealousy, fear, worry, and anxiety. These things literally block [my] capacity for feeling the good stuff that the highest part of [me] really wants to experience. Instead today I will experience: understanding, truth, clarity, patience, devotion, gratitude, vulnerability, acceptance, wisdom, hope, forgiveness, empathy, discipline, perseverance, community, and peace." Ok so I barely got anything "done" on my list last night. . .but I didn't get home till late and by the time we were washed up and fed and Connor fell asleep. . .I was ready to call it a night. Luckily I got a good amount of time today.

Things to do today-
-Vitamins
-#1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6 #7
-Meeting 130
-Read Thucydides Sect 34-39
-Read Thucydides Sect 40-46
-Read Thucydides Sect 47-53
-Read Thucydides Sect 54-59
-Read Thucydides Sect 60-65
-3 math problems2.5 problems

-More general tidiness
-Empty garbage
-Get mail
-Email J

in other news. . .I want to have some sort of routine. The handful of times I have prepped things the night before, I felt less stressful. Its especially helpful when I have class. But I feel resistance. Hrmm.

Journey 9:30 &

Working from home today and the freezer guy is supposed to be here sometime before noon.   I got up early and went to the gym and I've had breakfast and checked email, but I've been goofing off for about half an hour, time to get busy.   I started my todo list yesterday afternoon, so I'm gonna go finish that up and get started.   I have two meetings today, one of which will take some prep, and I know I want to work on getting things ready for this weekend.   I have some new projects that I need to get off the ground, and that's hard for me but I'll work on it today some.   The one big project that I thought was coming may not happen, and I need to do some research and make some decisions about that too.   All stuff that's not easy for a procrastinator but with your help I'll make it!

Update 10 am and now I've been goofing off for an hour!  <facepalm>.  Starting Instant boss and getting to work for reals this time.
