Journey 10:30 nyquil hangover & update
Ugh! I finally gave in and took Nyquil last night and now I'm sorry. I slept great though! I'm finally beginning to wake up. I was early to work (still no gym) but I haven't done much except chitchat with the other people who were here early. Well, it's the holiday season anyway and I don't chat much so we'll log that time as 'networking' lol. I've also caught up email, checked my calendar, and made a todo list. So, that's not so bad. I have two major projects, one in cleanup/closing status and one in planning stage. I'm not good at either of those things. So, here goes with the planning one.
UPDATE 3 pm nyquil hangover is gone, but now I'm totally in vacation mode because I changed my vacation so that it starts tomorrow instead of Thursday! I told them my house is a wreck after being sick all weekend and I'm having the family over for Christmas eve so they let me move a day from next week to this week.
I've done what I can with the above project for today - got a lot done, actually, and even wrote up some documentation. I'll move on to the closure stuff for the other project which is booooooorrrring but I can work on it for an hour.

Ian's journal/list/renewal, 12.21
I began to let my recovery practices slip a week ago Monday; I see now that I was feeling demoralized and ashamed because the previous week I'd started a practice of filing a weekly "work order" with client #2 that promised a bunch of deliverables for the week — and I didn't get a number of them done. It is really hard for me to stay with feelings like that; I desperately want not to feel them, I want them to go away — and so that's what I do. I just make reality go away, I stay in the fog of vagueness. I switch on a kind of amnesia.
And this is why my relationships — with colleagues, friends, lovers — break down.
Chrissakes, right this instant I feel fatigue coming down on me like one of those junkyard car crushers — even writing this stuff down, this plunger inside me is triggered and I am powerless over an automatic emotional/mental shut-down. Narcolepsy as coping strategy ... yeesh.
Today I just want to try to stay awake.

Hi All,
Thanks Rexroth for starter!! Back at work. Overwhelmed. Will start with the tape and move on from there. Want to take this opportunity to start over by not doing too much of my own stuff. Will set timer for 30 mts. Might go to chatbox if need to.
Nothing to do tonight, will be home very late.
Tomorrow a.m.:

Praying for the willingness to return to Weight Watchers. Also turn my food, procrastinating and not showing up over to HP. Also, bought tickets for my husband's birthday to see the Jets v. the Bills and I know me, how easily it is for me to cancel and not go. So I'm putting it out to HP and you all that I "show up" for my husband.
