Findingaway check in

12.21 pm Thursday
Thanks for the starter Rexroth!
It is really late in the day and I fear I am entering the Christmas crazy time.
Yesterday did not post as I put in a regular day at my client's office. Tomorrow travelling away to my sister's for Christmas.
I have done some things today so far (not many) and I do have a list.
* meditation
* time with M
* business query and response (took a lot longer than I wanted, but may be good promotion in the long term)
* email to R
* started laundry

Need to do:

* exercise (and bike ride if time)
* Christmas cards x 2
* post cards before 4
* document with J - edit and send (this one seems difficult and scary, could use the chat box)
Yay! I did it at last!

* finish laundry
* emails if time
* quick trip to ships if time
- not needed

* dishes
* dinner
* start packing (probably after dinner)

Nearly 7 pm - running really late for cooking but got everthing done

Crazybug CI

My birthday today so I've been thinking lots about where I'm at in my life and where I want to go. Feeling hopeful for positive change thanks to PA and the encouragement I find here.  I have many areas of my life and personal habits to work on, but I am so blessed to be where I'm at now.

Will focus this afternoon on finishing one of the overhanging tasks that I've been avoiding in order to 'gift' myself a sense of accomplishment. To do this I will do 15 minute microbursts with 5 minute breaks until I have gotten to a reasonable stopping point.  I will also remind myself that this task is not one that I have done before so I can't expect perfection, just progress.

 "You don't have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great." ~ Les Brown

Hope you have a wonderful birthday!

and a great year ahead!

Happy Birthday Crazybug!!!

Don't forget to put "party hard" on your to-do list ;-)

Journey noon & updates

Yay!  I'm on vacation.

Boo!  I have to clean house for Christmas eve party and the house is a wreck because I've been sick.

Today I want to straighten, dust, and polish furniture, and hit the guest bathroom one more time although it's pretty clean.  DH will vacuum, bless his heart.

Tomorrow I need to run a couple of errands and get the presents wrapped.   My nephew's present is backordered so I need to pick up a little something for him too.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Right now, I'm going to make some oatmeal and get dressed.

1:30 dressed and fed and goofed off for an hour.   Now to straighten the living room, then polish the furnies in here.

2:15 the living room is clean, except for the junky corner with toys and musical instruments - nothing to do about that until the repairs to the bonus room are finished.

Break, then I'll fold a load of clothes and start on the dining room.

2:30 fold clothes, then front hall by the dining room, then back here

3:00 that's done, and another load in the wash.  Break now, then I'll tackle the dining room table, the window sills, the side tables, and the hutch.   The hutch is very cluttered and I'm going to organize it enough to be able to dust it,but this is not the time to worry about reorganizing the hutch.

3:30 break over, I'll feed the birds, water the plants, and move the plants so I can dust the windowsill, then dust the window sill, table, side tables, hutch.

4:15 The hutch wasn't really as bad as I had imagined.   Break, then sweep the dining room floor.  That will have to be done again at the last minute but still.  Then I'll tackle the kitchen, do a normal cleaning but clear all the stuff off the counters that I usually leave out.

5:50 still not done with the kitchen and I gotta cook dinner.   I decided to (lightly) polish the cabinets and I didn't really have time for that!  still I'm taking a 10 minute break and then I'll cook.  I want to get the kitchen cleaned up extra good, mop the floor and clean out the freezer and fridge.

7 pm dinner and dishes are done,and the freezer is organized and wiped down.  I still want to clean out the fridge and mop the kitchen floor, but I'm gonna relax a little while now.

Never have an ordinary day!  - Pepperidge Farm (lol)

High stress today

11:43 AM: Having a stressful day. I hate to make mistakes, and I already
made two working on something new I am not used to. Also work is piling
up and I am not clearing it effectively. Feeling panicky, so I ate some
holiday sweets (far too many of them hanging around the main office,
calling to my weakness) and surfed for a little while, two things on my "Do Not Do" list. These are my two
main (maladaptive) anxiety controlling mechanisms. Alright, need to put
one foot in front of the other.Will go back to my old approach from my previous job.

Goal 1: 6 cases in 2 hours. Back to report.

12:36 PM: Update: First 40 minutes gone without progress. Got distracted filling out some forms. Back to it.
