Procrastinators Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from chronic procrastination.
Going to try a timing idea this weekend - one hour on work stuff and then half an hour on home tasks. I've tried this before and it seems like it should work, but another part of me always catches on and freaks out, saying, "Heyyyy, did you really think you could slip that by me? This is suffocating. You can't tell me what to do! I'm just going to ignore you and do stuff that makes me feel better..."
Seriously, I feel like I almost have a split personality! I thought that if I put this in writing, I might be able to place that overwhelmed part of me on notice! (I'm on to "you" -er- myself...) Oooorrr, maybe I'll just get more anxious. We'll see! ;) Also, in addition to the normal stress, I feel additional anxiety associated with the highlighted tasks so I avoid them even more!

So grateful for the progress not perfection concept. A perfectionist friend and I resolved our "perfectionistic" thinking by saying we are perfectly imperfect.
