Tuesday 14 September 2010

Every day counts, this could be the time you turn it all around!

Make Tuesday 14 September a day to remember! (Apologies for my lack of Graphics!)

Show up (done) think it through, look at calender.

lIFE IS MORE FUN IN PA!!

Doing this right?

Well, to my surprise, I joined this site a few years back. Website's memory long; Arden's, short.

I am too mentally beat to do a full introduction here, but I do want to say hello and applaud you all for being here and doing what you need to do to climb out of Itcanwaitville. I, myself, have lived here way too long and am afraid that I'll die here without really having lived.

It's 6:30 p.m. now, so pretty late. Not too late to squeeze a little something out of the day, though. So, I intend to:

1) Practice yoga
2) read 100 pp. of H. Lee's endless Virginia Woolf biography
3) finish rereading that PMLA article
4) make notes on said article
5) meditate
6) take vitamins
7) complete evening toilet--neti pot, brush, floss, face scrub. The whole shebang

Let's see how this goes...

Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better. ~~Samuel Beckett

Welcome. For many of us the only "way out" is to "embrace" who/where were are. It is too painful to do alone. and for me the quote (author unknown) "A sick mind can not heal a sick mind" is so true. Every day I must be "humble enough" to use whatever tools are available to me and ask for help.  Showing up is my 1st step in humlity and trust me it does not come natural, for many of us. But the fact is we are finding freedom. Keep coming back.

(arden)

Glad to have you here.  Just showing up is the first step...then just keep taking small steps.  We'll be with you.

wb arden!!

Journey 8 am &

Still on vacation, although I want to work about an hour or so today.    Today is my husband's birthday, and we're having a few people over for dinner, so that's my highest priority!   If I have time, I'll work on my  organizing projects.   Tomorrow I'm taking my daughter and her friend to the Aquarium.

  • Download some new podcasts - 1 hour
  • Straighten, dust, and vacuum the whole downstairs ~ 2 hours - started
  • Make cake- 1 hour - cake is cooling now!
  • Make potatoes, beans, and veggies early - 1 hour
  • burgers on grill at 5:30- 30 minutes
  • exercise - 1 hour - decided to skip this today!
  • work email & work on project plan a little - limit to 1 hour! - started
  • laundry- 1 hour - started
  • dishes- 1 hour
  • get out sewing machine after company leaves and set it up
  • If I am completely ready for the party early, I'll:
  • work on cleaning out that desk drawer - started
  • start on closet organizing

First, some podcasts.  BTW I found a procrastination podcast!   I don't know if it's good yet, but I'll listen to it and let you know.  http://iprocrastinate.libsyn.com/

When I get my mp3 player loaded up, I'll dial into work and work for one hour only..

UPDATE noon - arrggh we had some network problems that took over an hour to resolve . . . I'm stressing over the party tonight and flitting around from one thing to another and not gettting anything completed.   Deep breath.  Relax.  Make the cake!  That will be fun and I will feel like I'm making progress too.

Update 2 pm - the cake is cooling.   Now I'm going to put the last load of laundry in the dryer, load the dishwasher, and straighten, dust and vacuum the living room.

UPDATE 4 pm.  The house is clean!  or close enough to what passes for clean around here.   I didn't clean my bathroom but I wiped off the faucet with a kleenex in case anyone has to use it lol.   Now to frost the cake and start cooking!

UPDATE 4:30 cake is decorated, beans are in, now for melon balls and potatoes

GOOD MORNING

GOOD MORNING!

Starting Fresh.

Im thankful I get to start over today, yesterday I procrastinated all day long. I plan to  make today my turning point, although I'm doing well enough to just get by, I want to put myself under some healthy pressure in order to achieve my ambitions of 4 distinctions.

GNAT 3 - High priority, complete before work.

BUSLAW Lec - read up on lecture 7, stream.

ACCG200 - read up on homework, attempt at least 4 questions.
