Happy Monday to everyone! Time for a fresh start to make most of the day and this week.

Haven't been super productive today due to breaking my 'abstinence' of personal web surfing, etc.  I just need to realize that I have a procrastination addiction that manifests itself in the avoidance behavior of websurfing/webshopping.  Therefore, I cannot indulge in any of that activity while at work. I realize and acknowledge that I simply do not have the willpower to limit myself to a defined amount of time. *sigh*

So for the (rest of) today my goals are:

- enter txns

- get paper signed

- prep forms for mailing/stamp

- print forms

- email thank yous

- finally...forgive myself, pick myself up, learn and move forward.

re: agnus: totally know what u mean about carrying the high thru the week. I would like to feel excited about moving beyond step 3 into 4+. Those are the hard ones, the blow to the self image i hesitate to take :/

anyway, i came cuz i have a whole block of task in front of me, monolithic once i start. or at least seems so. usually they're not as monolithic as i think they are. but it seems like such a large commitment of a block of time that i want to do something else instead.

but god is with me, and i am in my right mind, so i'm checking in here and will do the next right action, the next microburst for this task.

Boy it's been a little bit of a whirlwind recently. Glad to be back after the holidays!! Work is going well. Thank HP!! My step-daughter was in & we had a great time!! Thankfully, HP, again. Also, did a volunteer project I was putting off, last night.

Hello! I gotta keep doing this so I don't slip into a state like yesterday. One thing I did notice yesterday was the fact that I blow things out of proportion to the point where it negatively affects what I'm doing RIGHT now (ie. I got a B on the test turns into I'll get a B in the class turns into I won't get into the grad school I want turns into I'll be a failure at LIFE. It's crazy! Sorry)

The last few days have been rough so I'm going to keep my expectations low.

Happy Monday!  I'm on vacation.   I spent Sat with the grandkids at the lake, had fun but was exhausted and sunburned.   Sun I did a good bit of relaxing, although I did make dinner, clean the kitchen, and clean my fridge and freezer. 

Today I want to:

  • Take a walk
  • Visit mom
  • Grocery Store
  • Pet Smart
  • JoAnns
  • Put away groceries
  • Clean out the 2nd bathroom drawer
  • Some general straightening
  • Laundry
  • Clean out one desk drawer

  • log into work and do my (very late!) time sheet
  • read a chapter or two in my book

UPDATE: back from walk, laundry done, gonna take a short break then a shower and head out for errands.   laters!

UPDATE 5 pm:  back from errands, took longer than I planned (of course!) now putting away groceries and making dinner.

UPDATE 7:30 I made a very nice dinner, fried chicken. I hate frying chicken but tomorrow is my husband's bday so I made the effort lol.   Now I'm tired, I dunno if Imma tackle those drawers tonight or not.  Maybe I'll just do one.  The dishes are done, and I have a couple hours . . . yeah, why not?

Update 8 pm YES I cleaned out the bathroom drawer.   It looks very nice.  Now both of my bathroom drawers are all clean and organized.

That's enough for today, I'm going to relax and read my book for a while then go to bed!-

Hmmm. I added a graphic to todays starter but it doesn't show. Can anyone else see it? I really like adding graphics, the colours and motives and all cheer me up and motivate me.

But alright, dont wanna get too distracted by that, do i. the lazy part of my character tells me to just don't worry about nothing today. it's raining and there's nothing urgent to be done. i got a very late start. but the other part of my self says it would be nice to make a list and complete some tasks (or make some progress at least) as otherwise i'd just feel completely useless instead of capable to give my life some structure. so i want to make an effort. however, a lot of things come to my mind and i have to avoid to make the list too long and inevitably fail in coming even near completion. instead i have to try to make a rough plan for the whole week. let's see how far i get!
