Good morning, PA Pals - Hope everyone is feeling better than poor Garfield this morning! Thanks for the funny starter Goal_Allegro. I like hope4meandu's suggestion to check-in here and check-out on the beautiful Monday starter.
Solidarity to those who are having rough health spells. I felt over my tummy trouble yesterday so promptly overdid it. Amidst the heavy work I misstepped backwards out of my truck and would have had a bad fall, if the armrest on the passenger door had not speared me with a punch to the kidney. Owie! So I'm moving slow today, and am reminded by my HP that stewardship of my body is MY part of Steps 1, 2 and 3. Hence, my MITs include those amends today:
pet care
J's meds
order refills (J and me)
iron at least one backlogged item
vaccuum at least one room
20 minutes ice on the bruised rib/kidney
call chiropractor and massage therapist
arnica montana til I run out (put on shopping list)
microburst the pile on my desk
go through yellow notepads and schedule action items
12:15 incoming important call
12:30 each lunch (with HP's help, no matter how I feel)
A laid-back day today. Off to the physical therapist's to get the bad news shortly. I suspect surgery is in the future, but perhaps I'll try faith healing first. Then it's tubing down a cool river in the afternoon, following by playing at an open mic this evening. Tomorrow I'll return to my usual whirlwind of productivity. Probably. Hope all are well and having great, effective and efficient days. Scribbler
Also, sorry didn't get to respond to our chat on exercise sooner. You sound like an athlete to me. I work out for vanity and health reasons. I think injury is, unfortunately, a part of keeping in shape or competitive sports. Thankfully, because of you guys, last week I was able to exercise 3 days, 10 minutes. That is usually how I build up, starting small and being consistent.
Wow tubing down a cool river sounds amazing, enjoy!!

Hey y'all, I've been MIA lately and haven't been keeping up with everyone's posts, but hope you are all doing good!
First day back in the office after working from home for a week recovering from pneumonia. Hubby drove me in today as I still feel weak and dizzy, but at this point I think it's the strong antibiotics that are making me feel bad. I'm about to take the last one yay! If I don't start feeling a lot better tomorrow, Imma head back to the doctor.
I have a 3-hour meeting today and other than that, I'm going to try to get through my e-mail, review my todo list, and figure out what my priorities are for the rest of the week. I don't really expect to get any real work done today beyond showing up at this meeting and staying awake throughout.

A healthy young person may lead a normal life within a week of recovery from pneumonia. For middle-aged people, it may be weeks before they regain their usual strength and feeling of well-being.
This is just making me feel worse

Some things came up so I didn't get to stay on plan today. But that's okay - I responded to an unexpected demand in a timely manner and now everything is sorted and people are happy with me. Feels good.
Back on track with my planned tasks tomorrow.
P.S. Oh yeah! Two Mondays! Ooh I forgot to put the 'th' on the 28th - that's probably why it didn't come up in order. Sorwee!

Hi Scribbler - Sending prayers that surgery isn't necessary

re: injury
Ain't it the truth? I'm certainly no athlete, but I'm normally quite active, and pretty clumsy, too!
