Agnus checking in

Not feeling at all well yesterday and today, tummy trouble. Rare, thank God.  Might be stress, or some new nutritional stuff I started this week, reactions until the ole bod gets used to them. Anyway I've been ranging between productive and work-bingeing most of this week, but this morning after completing some important work tasks I played too long on a social website. Time to stop and get present to my real life now!

  • review eval bgt
  • have call w boss on it
  • draft a response
  • complete DK EM stuff
  • call EM
  • 3pm team call
  • 330 client call
  • :15 minutes on personal backlog
  • make tasks for next week when I feel better on these things:
    • glossary, fundflow, contax, faqs; all included?
    • wrap software promo
    • draft ap bye

Not sure how much of this will really happen, it's taken me hours just to complete this check-in b/c I can't focus for feeling so sick. The 3-330 calls are a must, the rest can prolly wait til i feel better.

My timer has gone off so it is time for me to move on to another thing.

welcome wallflower!

We're all in this together; glad you found your way to us!  Hope you will keep coming back.  (BTW now that I've replied to your post you can't go back and edit it, but you can reply to yourself and repaste your list if you want to do crossouts as you move forward through your day.)  See you around the site!

I wasn't anticipating having the kids this weekend either. But, happy surprise, they are here. So that's good. I'll go see PH play some other time. Tonight I'm going to hang with the kids.Hope all are well. Scribbler

hope4meandu checkin 10:09AM

Hi All,

I cancelled our guests this weekend and last night's repair our neighbor was going to do he cancelled, thankfully. I went to bed at 9:00PM and am still exhausted, so I know I did the right thing by cancelling. The good thing is it made me clean the bathroom. I realize I put my anxiety on cleaning and that my anxiety levels are high right now.

Today:
-pick up Y meds
-call Ge & Gr
-find out what time T closes
-figure out what the next plan of action for Yoffee is
-should I pay to advertise my doggy business, since nothing else is working
-work on website
-work out for 10 minutes tonight
-4:00 meeting

Cleaning (do 1 thing every day, please):
-dusting
-In case I don't get here:
Saturday night: clean all glass stuff
Sunday: finish laundry, wash kitchen floors, 10 minute exercise

May HP's guidance be in your little and big steps today!!

♥Prayers & guidance needed & appreciated for my Yoffee's healing.

I don't see any place on there for exercise on there, but I did do maybe 10 or 15 minutes worth of mostly prescribed physical therapy exercises this morning right after getting up. For many years I did 50 situps and 25 puhups just about every morning. Like to get back to something like that.  Meanwhile, onward.

Hi Scribbler

Relate about the exercise. I have back problems and use to work out on schedule every week. I started again with 10 minutes 3 days a week and hope to graduate slowly. Much good luck and success with the exercising.

♥Prayers & guidance needed & appreciated for my Yoffee's healing.

Thank ya

Thanks for the feedback, hope4meandu. I tend to vacillate between too much and not enough on the exerrcise. The physical therapy is for a shoulder that started hurting last fall while I was lifting weights.

I've also been treated lately for hip problems from, I guess, running. I'm really hoping to get the shoulder fixed so I can start running, biking, swimming and lifting again and train for some triathlons. Hard to guess what injuries are on the other side of that. Plantar fasciitis kept me off the basketball court for a couple of years. Then the hip took about a year to figure out and fix, which shot triathlon training down. Now the shoulder keeps me out of the pool and limits weight lifting, as well as forcing me to throw a football to my son righthanded. At least that provides some entertainment to onlookers, at the expense of my dignity.

Not sure what's up with the string of injuries. Normal? Part of TMB (Too Many Birthdays) Syndrome? Due to poor technique? Overtraining? Bound to get better? Oh, well. Could be worse. Thanks again.Hope you and Yoffee feel better soon.

Show up (done) Need to get of my wheel of procratinating.

Listening to David Allen, Getting things Done Audio Book, gave me hope because I am doing some of the things he said, that I learned in PA. He is interesting.

Rexroth Check In

Done:
Up very early after a bad night's sleep. It was very hot and I was worried about the landlord's visit today.
Prayer and reflection
Last minute tidy up and wait for landlord's visit. Found it hard to get on with anything and I did not want to leave confidential papers where they might be seen.
Checked emails
Dealt with post and phoned solicitor for appointment
Spoke on phone to advocate concerning a complaint I am pursuing against a local hospital. This was a long and difficult conversation
Landlord did not come so phoned landlord.
Also asked landlord to do some maintenance
Got rid of some old stuff

Todo:
Be around for solicitor's call - not vital but the sooner the better
Email comfirmation to landlord
Some posts elsewhere
A little work in the kitchen
Write journal
Bath hair and personal care
Think and plan - I feel anxious which is partly lack of sleep and I need to write down the various issues and see what if anything I need to do.

Regards Rexroth

Rexroth Check Out

Done:
All of above except bath which I'll have tomorrow morning before I go out. It is hot and sticky in London this evening.
Also got the kitchen really clean and sorted

Todo:
Prayer and reflection
Bed and sleep

kromer 8:30 CI

Sort of rough going this week but I need to continue to make progress today.

Scheduled: mtg 1-3, cooking/dinner from about 6 or 6:15 on

MITs:
*Finish slides on conf. report
*Finish IHC (have made good progress on this)
*Orders, talk to histology people

If I have more time:
*Look at slides on my own and talk to DR about time to look at them together.
*Look into G's synch tech (working on this now)
*Work on proposal for DR

OK, first step of IHC now.

Journey 7 am

Friday, thank goodness!   I'm still feeling pretty rough but I have some work that must be done today.   I've told them I'm *not* available over the weekend and I'm going to rest.  But first we must get through today.    I'm extremely grateful that I'm allowed to work from home during this recovery period; otherwise I'd have no choice but to call in sick and then I'd be torn between taking care of my job and taking care of my health.  At least this way I can do both after a fashion.

  • Get the Project V Problem totally fixed!
  • Project V - Help S with System Q install
  • Project V - Write up customization procedures for System Q
  • Time Sheet
  • Download new audio book

That should do it for today.   Then I'm crashing for the weekend

MD Check-in/CHECK OUT Fri 25th (updates are underlined)

Well sports fans, TODAY is last day of kids school

"NIGHT BEFORE" (now): gifts & prep my gym bag (saves morn precious moments) DID NOT DO GYM BAG for good reason in that it would have made noise to others)

UPON WAKING -  accept anxiety...watch attitude.....just do (minimize thinking) COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER ON THIS but not as bad as earlier in the week

LOOSE ENDS for school -- set up already (yearbook, snacks/lunches, schedules). Some dinky things WILL be left by wayside--and that is OK-- but focusing now on reflecting on school yr and transtion SCHOOL STUFF WENT OK--BETTER THAN OK

"MORNING AFTER" - resolve to give kids BIG breakfast hugs and explanation for our tiff last night (Thurs) as caused by mutual tension & fatigue--espec over something silly like shirts -- after productive/packed day Thurs for all.  WE ALL HAD A BETTER MORN THAN A NIGHT BUT ROOM TO IMPROVE

AM - breakfast, pack lunches, give money, mini-bags, go over schedule, and if time, go take last remaining teacher photo, then come home for brkfst & check email

if a friend wants to meet for coffee/tea (worth missing exercise) or change for gym stretch THESE DID NOT HAPPEN FOR GOOD REASON: tight on time and exhausted from previous day's workout (in and of itself a gentle reminder that I am not in good shape yet so can't slack off from exercise)

Do 11 am check-in GOT BEHIND so could not call. INSTEAD, DID TWO THINGS (GLAD I DID) I had saved for Monday: Medical appts for kiddos in July were being booked up, so got 3 of those squared away

MID-DAY FREE SO FAR - decided against cross-town (traffic) trip for tires; instead just check them & fluids well , then short nap or lunch out treat; SEE BELOW

trying to do B I L L S  SIMPLY RAN OUT OF TIME....AFTERNOON APPT WAS CRUCIAL FOR TODAY (though bills caused undue stress--as always)

AFTN - 1-5 pm - Kid to dentist and traffic jam expected ALL OK on time-mgt EVEN HAD TIME for early dinner out with kiddo per above "lunch treat". I have to also admit, I foolishly took a wad of overdue bills with me thinking I would have time in waiting room to pay them....just part of my ritual of carrying the bag and not doing anything about "it."

EVE - wrap Sat. birthday party gift, view open houses for sale, perhaps late movie with the lad, then late night check-out, or chat box DID ALL THIS. HERE I AM and did some catch-up internet news reading I like to at night

get to folding clothes, BUT NOT THIS..

OVERALL CHECK-OUT NOTE:

(1) I did the plan too tightly but at least the priorities (school and dentist) went ok.

(2) I tend to get "pleasantly panicked" on Friday thinking that I will get it ALL done--and then some. I never actually come close but the weird nature of this Friday-brain combines a bit of mental hysteria and some actual decent productivity.  I am hesitant to let go of the hysteria as it's so interwtined with my Friday push and results.

(3) the older the task (bills and clothes), the higher the mountain one has to climb to simply begin the first step.....I failed on those two today

I welcome comments....judge away if you care to (I need that, please)

Goal_Allegro Check Out 25/6

Today started out well but then unravelled due to a series of unfortunate events, that were out of my control and not my fault, but nonetheless derailed my stary eye plans to achieve things today.

In the future I must take note to handle these setbacks better and not retreat into my self-pitying time wasting (this time I decided to take my time slowly browsing my new local library instead of getting back and stuck into it). I can acknowledge the impact of the setback, create a new game plan to deal with it and then move on. Rather than wallow in a "this sucks, what to do now" limbo.

Well now I know for next time and on the bright side, I found a copy of Alcoholics Anonymous 2007 Special Edition at my local library. So at least now I can get some clarity around how this 12 step program works.

In all honesty, I think my list was very ambitious and I didn't really expect to achieve half of it today - but they are things I must get done by Sunday - so I must (I want) to get stuck into it tomorrow.

But in the end, I can make excuses - or can admit that I didn't do very well today and try do better tomorrow. I choose the latter - but worry that I've been saying that alot lately. :/
