Journey 8:30
Good morning! Working from home today, it's a gorgeous day. Yesterday was a bad allergy day for me yuck. Time to break out the neti pot.
I've been to the gym, the drug store, I've read email and checked my calendar. I'm trying the focusbooster thingy today, that might be helpful for me. I like timers.
Now making my todo list, I have 9 minutes til next break according to focus booster!

Show up (done)
I have been showing up on the phone meetings and sort of miss my being at this site. The people contact does add to getting out of my comfort zone and doing things so I will check in there as well.
Lots of stuff going on with my 2 teenage boys. I have heard every parent say "I can't believe they lied...about..." and I thought I would be prepared when/if it happened to me, but I am not. Feeling devestated and paralyzed. Grateful that I can at least "show up" here. Thanks for being here.
re: teenagers
Thank HP my teens are grown. Those were rough years! Hang in there, they do get some sense later on!

(Jo)
Thank you Jo. The miracle is I did not shut down, pick up or say something I would be sorry for later. (My brain probably was radioactive with my thouhgts.........probably green rays coming out of my ears and eyes!!) I detached with (love???) more like with anger(to be honest) , and now am a bit more calmed down. A friend sent me the prayer below:
GOD
(Yes I hear you.)
GRANT ME (You want help, my child? What is it?)
THE SERENITY (I see you want peace. Don’t you recall my words, Peace I give to you, my peace I leave you. I shall grant you peace.
TO ACCEPT (You want to accept? What is it you want to accept? To accept means not to question, pry or expect. It means to let be.)
THE THINGS (I see, you want me to give you peace in being able to let things be, things from the past, things in the future. You would like to live just today.)
I CANNOT CHANGE (You can change nothing, my child. What has happened has happened, there is nothing you can do about it. Let it be. What will happen will happen, leave that to Me. You can change no one else. Let go and let Me do My work.)
COURAGE (Yes, you want power, power from Me, for you can do nothing without My help or power to carry out My will, so ask for it and it shall be given to you.)
TO CHANGE (Now you have it. I will give you the power to change yourself, to look only at yourself, your faults and the power from Me to turn those faults into virtues. You can do nothing more.)
THE THINGS (Yes, the power to change things, not others. Things about yourself, no one else. If your motive is to change others, I cannot help you.)
I CAN (By saying, I can you have already received my graces. I can means you can change yourself with the help of My power.)
AND THE WISDOM (Ah yes, this is one of my greatest gifts. In other words, you want Me to give you discernment. In order to get wisdom you must pray and meditate, be silent so you can hear Me. You will gain discernment by listening to others, reading and having an open mind.)
TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE (This is the hard part. After you have prayed for guidance, sought council, and did some reading and truly listened for My answer, go forward bravely, I am with you always. If you are not sure of answer, then that is your answer. Let the matter rest with Me so I can do My work. I am the Master Painter of your life.
Thanks everyone for being here.
beautiful prayer
thanks for sharing this, vic. God be with you and your kids.
tuesday
work -DONE
call DW and CPL - DONE
exercise routine - DONE
weeds - put off until tomorrow
plants from yesterday -DONE
SL 1B - DONE
added:
tidy up house - DONE
pack lunch for tomorrow - DONE
Everything finished except weeds. I got a lot done today but I procrastinated a lot and it all took a lot longer than it should have. Still I feel good about the fact that I got everything done. This check in helped because when I settled into surfing the net to procrastinate, it kept me from spending the whole night there as I would've done otherwise...

Today I am struggling to get started. I have some stomach pain but I need to ignore it and blast on through. I am eating breakfast now and I will break for an hour or so, watch a DVD while the painkillers kick in. Then I will come back to post and roll my sleeves up for the day.
