I am a freelancer who is digging herself into an ever deepening hole because I am procrastinating on doing my work. Essentially, as all freelancers, if I don't work, I don't eat. Not only that but I have some massive bank debts and I am always in a flat spin because I am late with my rent. I haven't paid my electric bill in nearly two months which will soon mean shut off time and all this why? Because I am procrastinating.
You know, maybe it wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have clients or couldn't get enough work to cover all my monthly expenses and have plenty left over, but no, it seems I prefer to struggle because I am an idiot.
Ugh, and I am doing it again while typing here.
Oh, I have found that I have been more productive for the past two days using some paraliminals. I am surprised they help lol

Visit often. I am in a similar bind as you, I know the feeling. My advice to you is to use the Check-in thread every day -- it's really helping me to get focused. And everyone here supports you -- it's an amazing group of people who have a similar challenge to yours, and are slowly getting a bit better day by day, thanks to this site. :)

Welcome, Breena! I used to be a freelancer myself and believe me, I FEEL YOUR PAIN. Really, there's no need to be so hard on yourself. You're not an idiot, you're a normal person trying to cope with an abnormal way of life. Humans are social animals and to sit on our own working all day every day with no companionship and no immediate reward, not even a 'well done', is REALLY HARD.
I wish to goodness this site had existed when I was a freelancer, because I think it could have made all the difference. Stick around and use the site - check out the chatbox and the daily check-in thread - they're really helpful. We're all rooting for you :)
