hope4meandu checkin (6:36 PM)
Thanks Jo, this starter really almost focused me today...but focusing was near impossible, so I'm happy for the few minutes that I got.
Just want to turn over the things I'm procrastinating about:
-balancing check book
-transfering balance from one credit card to another
-contacting the people in my old account and giving them my new acct information
-finding another Dr. for Y.
-also need to get up the nerve to post to a money group
Safe and successful travels today, good people!

Pyrotecher CI 8Feb2010
Checking In at 12:45pm
Late initial CI because of late start. Was up to 5am finishing yesterday's chores and slept in this morning. So far all I've got done since is walking the dogs and eating breakfast.
Oh, and reading the newspaper and checking my email with the usual dollup of wasted online time.
Gotta get in gear:
Have at least a couple hours of essential chores,
then a list of work items - want to tackle at least a couple.
Have an evening meeting I want to be on time for - will help to force time prioritization for the rest of the afternoon.
(Deadlines of any sort are helpful in focusing my prioritization and mental energy.
I've tried artificially imposing them but the problem is that my brain won't ignore the difference between real and artificial ones.)

Thanks for the starter Jo. What a great idea! So now instead of focusing on why am I still on the computer all morning, I am going to focus on next getting off the computer.
Inkling checking in
Love the thread starter - it makes me feel like dancing! I am making a fresh start this morning after wasting most of the weekend on the internet - except for solving a server performance problem. So the thread starter is particularly apt for me. Today I got through my morning routine, but was very late (45 minutes) for work. Feeling a bit rattled but determined to do my best. Goals for today (mostly leftover from Thursday are:
Inkling checking out
Not much accomplished on list because of interruptions to find things for my boss. Still missing 3 things.
Minimal surfing today. I can pat myself on the back.
Journey 8:45 &
I think maybe the thread starter is supposed to be for Easter but I thought it was cheerful so I used it anyway lol.
The weekend went pretty well for me, I got a reasonable amount of chores done and didn't goof off on the computer TOO much. I'm still spending too much time on the computer though. I made it until past noon yesterday before I booted up the pc, but after that I kept gravitating into the bedroom to waste time on the computer. I gotta work on this! But still overall a good weekend. I worked on my filing and my budget, didn't finish them but I did put some time into it so I feel good about that.
I was early to work today yay and I have already been to the gym, read email, and checked my calendar. I've had my bowl of special K low-fat granola, which is not as good as captain crunch haha, but it's not too bad. Now I'm going for coffee and I'll make my todo list, schedule, and come back here.
Jo
UPDATE 10:45 my todo list and schedule are made, a couple of emails dealt with, and had a very good quiet time. I have gone back to working thru the 12-step workbook which I have been away from for a couple of months. http://www.12stepworkbook.org/
UPDATE 1:20 back from club meeting at lunchtime and had a quick lunch at my desk. before the meeting I spent some time staring at the next task for Project V. Well, ok, I did a little work on it, but mostly staring! Back to it until my next meeting.
UPDATE 5:45 Worked on Project V. after the meeting and made some progress. I worked hard today! *pats self on back* Headed home now, see ya in the am.
