Procrastinators Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from chronic procrastination.
This is my first check in for quite a while, which is probably one reason I have been less productive than I'd like. So here goes with a modest "To Do" list:

-Keep a time log for today, starting at 2 pm.
-Eat food by 2 pm.
-Shower
-Call DMV, take care of today if possible. (HIGH PRIORITY)
-Clean up room to look for tax notes and financal papers. Ok to stop upon finding them, max time limit to spend doing this task set at 2 hours. (HIGH PRIORITY)
-Scoop litter
-Find out quote for S.
-Make meeting time with S. for tomorrow. (low priority, can push to tomorrow if need be.)
Time Log -- did an ok job keeping up with it, after a slow start:
1:11-2:20 - online stuff, not the most productive but did get things coordinated for quote for S.
2:20-2:40 - eat food, also fed animals
2:40-3:05 - read snail mail, cleaned up kitchen table, noted and filed 1 biz receipt, filed pet files
3:05-3:20 - called DMV & figured out what to do; while on hold cleaned behind file cabinet, threw lots of trash away on the coffee & end tables
3:20-3:25 - Received phone call from S.
3:30-5:00 - cleaned brm a little & found tax notes
5:00-5:40 - changed linen on bed,took pics of pets
5:45-6:20 - shower
6:20-6:40 - scooped litte
6:40-8:00 - food & watch tv
8:00-8:45 - pet baths
8:45-11:30 - tv/relax
Analysis of orig to-do list:

-Eat food at 3:45 pm. - NOT DONE, WASN'T HUNGRY SINCE ATE LATE EARLIER
-Eat dinner at 7 pm DONE
-Watch TV 8-10p only if room task completed. DONE, MAINLY CUZ GAVE UP ON FINANCIAL PAPERS FOR NOW. WILL PROB TRY AGAIN LATER
-Check-in again by or before midnite. DONE
So over all ok, just wish i could find those papers. it was nice to get a few extra things done on top of planned ones. however, i had wanted to work on certain project today but forgot about it in the morning & wasn't on my check-in so didn't have time to schedule it. hopefully tomorrow or tonight i will start working on it more.
Anxious, but I choose to open the V. chart and scan for what is still missing, make a list and get to it. If completed before my meeting at 2:45, I will scan the D. chart for what needs to be done and get to it.
Searched for an entry into D. chart and in so doing...found all the unfiled pieces for 30 + charts going back to May!
Now have all organized by chart covering almost every inch of floor space in my office. This white see looks a little daunting, yet they could all conceivably be put in their respective folders and sorted by date in 20 - 25 minutes if I stayfocused?

I didn't keep up w/ website & checking-in before cuz I felt like I was *wasting* time putting little lists on here, but I think it helps stay focused a bit so I'm trying again. At least it helps me see that I'm not a loser and am accomplishing things, just can't do all I need to do and am still letting others and myself down!!
It is early but I am very tired and need to sleep. I've got a lot of sorting and thrown out a load of rubbish today and it gives me more space for my life.
OK, today is relatively calm. I want to try time-logging this week to get a better sense of where my time is going.
Scheduled: Seminar 9:45-11, dancing 8-10
High priority:
1)Look at slides
2)Read/ask about different fixatives (have made some progress on this)
3)Call to wish brother happy bday, wrap his present
4)Install/update website blockers on lab/home computer
5)Work on outlining potential stories for thesis proposal(working on this now)
OK, right now I'm going to take a little time to pray and visualize getting these things done, then I'll find some resources about fixatives, then I'll head to seminar.
OK, I've done a decent amount of work so far, but I can feel myself lagging a bit.
Right now, I'm going to do my task for the day that requires the most thought (working on potential thesis proposal ideas). My goal is to have 5 ideas outlined, w/ a quarter page (single spaced) for each...nothing too huge, I have plenty of time this week to work on this, this is just a start. Then I'm going to install website blocker on the lab computer, then I'm going to order RA and finish reading about fixatives/making plan for IHC, then I can start thinking about low-priority tasks if I have extra time.
Update 2:45: I have a quarter page for my first idea, and a few lines for each other idea.
OK, I have my 5 ideas outlined, and have installed website blocker on the lab computer. Now I'm going to take a 5-min break, then I'm going to finish reading about fixatives/making a plan for IHC.
Update 5:30--OK, I've finished reading about fixatives and made a plan for IHC. Now, I'm going to order RA, call brother to wish him happy birthday, wrap present, and write condolence note. Then I'll clean up my workspace and have some dinner. After that I can work on low-priority tasks if I want.
Update 6:20: Have ordered RA, called brother, and written condolence note. Now I'm going to wrap present and clean up workspace.
I feel energetic today, after having such a down week last week it feels good. I went to bed early, got up early and made it to spinning class. I like that class but it's soooo early. Therefore, I was also early to work, and I've already read email, checked my calendar, and made my todolist. Now I'm going for coffee and yogurt, then I'll plug in my tasks on my google calendar and get started on the first task.

UPDATE 9:21. Have coffee, now making schedule for the rest of the day.
UPDATE 3 pm: Been productive so far today but I'm starting to drag a bit and look for distractions. I'll work on Project V. for the next hour then take a break.

Don't feel very happy today, so I need to start my gratitude list and stop looking on the other side of the fence, 1. grateful for this site and to be reminded
Called in a vacation day today. It's really bad, I'm hardly ever at work. I was thinking today for my future happiness, I need to start working on a 4th step and finishing it. I start and stop, etc. Will pray for the willingness.

-finish website and put an ad on craigslist
-hopefully find out how to get my website to come up on google on the first page

I just don't know what to do. I feel like I am falling on my sword right now. I am really not looking for direction from my mother, as she fortunately does not live here. But I'm stressed for adequate reason. On top of this, I feel lonely because of my sex and love addiction. The only way I can retain my sense of independence I feel like is through working and through being financially comfortable.
My only escape from obsession is when I go to watch a romantic comedy. It's sad. I feel so empty. I rehearse choreography, but I don't want people to hug me at the Karaoke Dance Parlor. I don't want that. I only want to hug my sigOt, I don't want to get chummy with other random people who come up to me, just cuz they're impressed with my dancing.
I don't like the fact that I've been more or less stalking this Internet celebrity.
Shorter tasklist today - been giving myself too much to do and need to start feeling on top of it again.

Great day so far but of course it's still early
