potential energy 6:30
Well I really have a goofy way of doing things. I haven't done any christmas shopping yet. A ton of reports are overdue, and my main company is witholding my paycheck until all reports are received. Well, I better get myself going. Somehow, though, I had the nerve to go to the store and buy a ton of baking supplies (not an easy task on the eve of a major snow storm)-and of course all I can think of is baking cookies instead of doing reports. I often wonder if I would procrastinate if I had a different job, one that I loved that did not have so many reports. Then I often answer my self yes I would. Ah well...
1. report- J.P.
3. report J.E.- not possible until info is sent
4. report N.K.
Show up (done)
Trying to stay positive
On the plus side: Got an early start this am and managed to get some things organized. Then got to have a weekly breakfast I've skipped the last few weeks.
On the down side: since I've been home (nearly 2 hours ago) I've done little but dither, and didn't check in here right away.
I've got specific tasks to work on and I have been putting them off. Now it's time to start.

Good day to all,
I am having a hard time focusing and my energy is all but nonexistent. I don't have much that I must do today, but it feels like I am having a possible relapse so I think I will meditate and check back in.
Agnus checking in
My Step 11 and breakfast have each been interrupted 2-3 times already this morning by phone calls, J needs, and neighborhood stuff. I missed an important conf call, called and emailed amends and have been screwing around with email and online ever since. I need to stop piddling around and finish both my Step 11 and breakfast NOW and get back here with a plan!
12:15pm finally have a plan, God willing:
schedule mem scrnDONE! Call 3F re contractDONE! Call boss re AHDONE! ok wbnr; softwr?DONE! call mi ofbciDONE! lunch by 3pmDONE!
kromer 10:10 CI
OK, work is winding down before the holidays. But I'm ready for it to be over, not just wound down...
Here's what I need to do today (a pretty limited list, a mix of work-work and xmas preparation):
*Take care of cells (freeze, split, set for transfection)
*Do QC, GO/Kegg analysis and manual inspection of lists of genes, make small presentation
*Germ cell mtg
*buy xmas cards/wrapping paper
*do dishes, buy fudge ingredients, make fudge
*Talk to TE and JM
*Youth group + holiday party
OK, most important thing now is to get ready for germ cell mtg, by doing QC etc. I'll get the GO/Kegg analysis going, then I'll do QC.
S_ck, pardon my French.
However, they still must be done. So - that's my plan until check-in at 11:30. Cite, cite, and cite some more. Trying to do first 4 pages by then.
Now, if only I could FIND the sources I've referred to in my report! (Ugh! WHY didn't I bookmark that?)
Thanks - MC
Journey 9:15 at least it's not snowing
Ah, another day of cold rain here. The commute in to work was unpleasant, but I was here on time (barely). I exercised at home this morning, and I've checked email and calendar. Now I would like to put my head down on my desk and have a short nappie. I mean, now I'd like to go get a cup of coffee and woe be unto anyone who took the last cup without making a fresh pot.
I've got one quick task that arrived in email, then I'll make todolist and schedule and come back here.
