Some of the tools...

Break It Down: Break down projects into specific action steps; include preparation tasks in the breakdown.

Visualization:
Plan what to do, then imagine yourself doing it. The more specific and
vivid your visualization, the better. See yourself doing the task, and
doing it well.
Focus on Long-Term Consequences
Use Small Blocks of Time

3)VERY CAREFULLY do DNAse treatment and RT
4)Do 1 hw problem

I also want to cook dinner and call a friend.

show up (done)

4pm- finally got my driver license photo.!!!I was supposed to do it by June 8, there is an oa meeting near by so I went there first. I thought they were going to arrest me for slap a fine or something, I have spent months in turmoil about it. They were so nice. It all took aobut 5 minutes. I lived carrying this load of unfinished business for months, dreading it more and more and now that it is done, I ask why?how could all tis time pass from June 8 to now? Almost every day I "indended" to do it. As the saying goes, "The road to hell is paved with nothing but "Good intentions". I would have been on time, but the place I went to was closed when I got there and they relocated to this new place. Well, I need to be grateful it is done, finally.

Someone in CLA said they have a clutter of unfinished business. That's me, With the procatination, distraction, unfocused way I live/think, I keep building a pile of unfinished business, and it is soooooooooo heavy to keep picking up and moving around., but I am learning. It really is a lving disability.

Thanks Hope.

I needed the hug, and I love polar bears.

Someone last nite called me about the cla action line. I actually got work done in the closet and it was not nearly as distressing as it is doing it alone. I plan to move forward with many of the unfinished business items here, because the truth is I can not do it alone.

YAY Vic - so happy for you!!

Vic stands for "Victory!"

Also, thanks for sending the loop, I checked it out and found I'm not one, but I am an OA, Alanon, DA, ACOAer, so I think I have enough A's!!! LOL!!

Thanks Hope

I am in many A's as well, so I know what you mean. My "clutter" happens to be "unfinished business" . I carry it in my head and always "Intending" to take care of it, just like the license. So I use PA like a sponsor- show up, now the cla is a tool to help me follow though and with their action line (when I am willing). Kind of like exercise for your health, it's so much easier to go for a walk with someone than to go alone (at least it is for me).
