"How to be a better Beagle in 30 days..."

Recycler CI 9:45pm EST

Hi Pro Buddies!

At the gym this morning, I did my cardio, stretching, and ab exercises.

At work I sorted through in-coming projects/emails before staff meeting. After the meeting, I began working on my projects. During lunchtime, I ate food that I had brought, then took a break downstairs. Did other projects in the afternoon. Toward the end of the day I had some emails & I didn't start my project list for tomorrow. With a boss coming back from vacation tomorrow, I will be going over questions with her, so that should take care of most of my stray projects.

After work, I had the chiropractor, did an errand, then went to the meeting of my other 12-step program. My sponsor is still out of town, so I came straight home. I made a prepared salad, and have put it in the refrigerator. I'm now checking my websites & getting ready to go to sleep.

Have a great night, everyone! :)

JulesK CI - Monday Awwww, Snoopy, you're just perfect as is!

Hello all!

Showing up!

Today I have about 2 hours of to-do's, plus breaks, and as one of the breaks I'm going to watch an episode of Project Runway.

I am also going to finish a book and throw it in the book fair pile.

Plus my AM and PM routines.

Thanks!

J

Vic 10/5

Missed hike yesterday so went to old rails/trails path and did 5.5 mi myself, so I did nto give up. Guess it was meant to be I was there for a little boy who was lost and got him reunited.

Emotional tantrum at night, but did not take it out on others. Stayed away and talked to friends, etc. also did not shut down- boy this was a very close call like I had once before.

today:

show uo(done), worked on school with son, wash, fold wash(done); walk,Try to have an attitude of a dog

@vic

So cool you were able to take care of the little lost boy!  Yes, I think you were meant to be there.   And dealt with the emotional issue too.  sounds like a successful day.  Not easy, but successful!

Thanks Jo

Succesful by the grace of God. I came so close to "shutting down". I wanted to say, I quit= I have been doing this long enough. It all made perfect sense at the time, just like it did in the begining with alcohol, sugar, etc. I felt like I deserve,,,,????, = as if I was doing something special by being responsible, the addict thinking that makes perfect sense when into it. I thought, so what if I "shut down" , what's the big deal? I used to think that way about a beer, glass of wine, a desert, etc. but because I am an addict, I could not predict what would happen the next time or the next. as well as how long it would take to snap out of it. I may not be doing much, but I am still showing up and walking, becuase of this site and my HP. For that, I am grateful.

Catching up with cyber school and my son, things are getting better.

great news vic

your description of the addict-logic fits me to a T. But with me, it's most often surfing on line.

it's eerie. you say it makes so much sense when into it. it does. and yet it does not, in fact, make sense. I may not have realized til this moment how profoundly our decision making is distorted by the addiction.

those quotes are great! I'm going to put the first one on clement's bookmarks.

Singing "rainy days and Mondays always get me down"

Hello all, catching up on everyone's posts over the weekend.  I worked on Saturday, and Sunday was housecleaning day, so I never did check it but was reasonably productive both days.

So far today, I have exercised (at home), read email, and made my todo list.  I will go now for a cup of tea and put my lunch in the fridge, then back here to triage and prioritize the todo list.  Should be back here by 11:00 or so to say I have finished my first task.   Have an enjoyable and productive week everyone!

Update 11:15 done with first task, a small administrative task, but done!  Now for a larger task.  Want to be done with this in 30 minutes so I can leave fo rlunch meeting.

Update 11:50 Done!  and I had to make two, count 'em TWO, phone calls to complete this task.  I'm on a roll this morning.

Regular old problems

I like that too. Like "life on life's terms" just "regular stuff" just "average" nothing out of the ordinary, no need to panic., just "regular".

Regular old problems

I seem to have a regular old problem of posting 2x!!!!!!!!!

re:regular old problems

Like yes, I have a problem but I DID NOT CAUSE IT lol

e check in

Good morning! Today is a great day to start fresh, so I am going to work on one thing at a time today, focusing on establishing some basic habits. I don't like doing it, so today I am going to vacuum, dust and mop. The MIT's of the day are to get the house straightened out so I can focus again on doing some paperwork heavy lifting (finding work).

going to nowdothis.com and setting up the list for the day.

e 4 pm checkback

Had a very successful morning, but got hung up on menu planning. I often find I am indecisive with this, and it stops me from going forward. I have tentitave meals in place for the other days, but I think I should give myself a break on menu planning day so that I just make something simple. So, from now on, I think I will make a broiling meal for menu planning day.

e @10 pm

I have decided on a predetermined pattern for menus and thus was able to make a decision (does anyone else struggle with this).

Mondays will be pasta, so I was able to choose to make mac and cheese. I did not manage to make the veggie, but I did get to a meeting, which felt really good. Now the house feels messy, but I am willing to putter towards getting things together before an 11 pm bedtime.
