Recycler CI 8:50pm EST

Hi Pro Buddies!

This morning at the gym, I did cardio, stretching & ab exercises.

At work this morning, my pre-highlighted project list helped me a lot. I just kept plugging at it, and thanks to minimally few interruptions, progress was made. At lunchtime, I went to a study group. After lunch, I aimed for easier parts of my project list. At the end of the day, I re-prioritized and highlighted my list for tomorrow morning.

After work, I had dinner with a group, and then attended my class. After class, I picked up 2 audio books at the library, and bought a couple provisions at the grocery store.

The rest of the week will I get to check in? Thursday I will be at work; however it may be busy, so I'm not sure I will get to CI. The rest of the week I will be away from the computer. Well, what happened on the last similar situation, I did end up with some computer access. If that happens again, maybe I'll post, maybe I won't; I won't know until then. Anyway, I hope everyone has a great week/Weekend :) I should be able to CI again next week, possibly as early as Tuesday.

Have a great night, everyone! :)

Thank you, gals & guys, for being here! :)

CL daily overcoming

got caught up in an email. binging. stopped myself. Not particularly an HP moment, more the beginning of a habit kicking in, a habit forged in HP's blacksmith shop :)

but, hey, it's only 8:50, so often it's 11am or 1pm when i stop. Grateful to god for that grace today!

8:50 check mtgs / emerg only email. that's right, emergency only. - 9:20, still going -- (was a problem w/ a meeting, then got distracted) DONE
- really sad that my early start is now wasted. Now back to regular late schedule. But i can not let that get me down, because right now i have to make my best catch-up plan

 Good morning.

Project U is the top priority today. I will finish it by end of the day, sooner if at all possible.

I will be interrupted this AM by a rush trip to the bank and the drug store.

I can feel myself tempted by distractions. I will remember that I've set aside time every day for those otherwise "distracting" activities that have some value.

have gotten things done, now posting to commit to scary task after small task. Wait--I could do 5 min of scary before small and then go back to it.

Journey 8:45 & update

Working from home today.  Yesterday was very busy with meetings, but I didn't feel that I got much actual work done.  I did stay on task most of the day, though, so I feel good about that.

I have a meeting in 15 minutes, and this promises to be another day full of meetings.  This means I need to use the rest of the time very wisely.

Have a productive and enjoyable day everyone!

Update 12:30  ok, I've had two of the three meetings for today and now I'm just sitting here . . . I had an invitation to do something at lunchtime and I don't have time for it, so I passed, but now I'm just sitting here feeling ambivalent.  Could I really have gone?  Am I just hiding my head in the sand and being anti-social?  I should go.   No, I shouldn't.  Arrrrgghhh.   The decision is already made, so just move on already :?

Taking a short break, then check back here, then  back to work!

Update 1:30 I'm back!

Spirit 10/7

Good morning all,

Today I am well rested and relaxed as I enter the new work day.  I have had many challenges in the last week and met them one and all proactively,  thank you pro and others for this website.  As I work this program I feel so much better than when I procrastinated in anx.  The best antidote to anx is truely action.

During the morning phone checkin I became aware of what for me creates immobilization to action.  I now know that the emotion attached to the task, (fear, anger, resentment, shame, disapproval etc) is why I procrastinate in most cases.  I am learning to detach emotions from the tasks.  My focus is on completing the task and to the extent that it is difficult I can check in with myself and my hp.

Now Checking into morning phone meeting and will post tasks for the day before 9.

good job spirit!

dang I keep forgetting about that phone call!
