Procrastinators Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from chronic procrastination.
Just a note to say I have tackled a good bit of old clutter and weeded through it to see what to keep, toss and give to Goodwill. Have a trash bag full and several Goodwill bags and some to keep... at least made some more progress on this, continuing from the start I made last weekend.
I need to realize that this progress is really good, because after months of avoiding these piles of clutter, I am beginning to tackle them and the house already looks better for it. It is too easy to feel bad about how long it took or how much remains to be done, so I am posting here to mark my progress. Thanks for being here and for the support of all of you here!
I already know that I don't want to show up at work the whole week and it's only Sunday.
What I did today so far:
-took Yoffee on a very long walk
-brushed her
-got cleaning from cleaners
What I pray for the willingness to do today:
-work on 4th step
-do back exercises
-clean bathroom
-call pharmacy to see if they have Yoffee's prescrption
-pharmacy shopping
-cook
-meeting
-get lottery ticket
Glad I have this group to help.
Welcome to newcomers, old-timers, all & every. Prayers coming to you all for a happy & successful Sunday.

Showing up, church, food sore (done) That may seem like a trivial thing, but I need to remember how big it is for me. I feel like it is the first step to real PA recovery, it is because I was always starting tommorrow, even in "showing up" so I am so grateful for this site to have a place to just "show up" .12:30 Store shopping for boys- school starts tommorrow, I feel judgemental and annoyed that they waited til the last second before they were willing to go, I almost feel like not going. Then I feel guilty, what right do I have to judge them?, and at the same time, did they learn this from me? My main focus today is to keep them out of trouble and ready for tommorrow. Got to store last nite, and it was good I stayed home til my husband got here. I don't like to be controlling, so it seems like all I need to do is phisically be here and then things are ok, if not then???
Of course, this does not seem like "it counts" . Somehow I feel this should be incidental to 1000 other things. They plan to meet up with their friends at 5 so I will have time to catch up then.I need to remember that being a mom is my most imprtant task, or more accurately, I need to convince myself that being a mom is my most important task. (done) ot evrything done for the boys to start tommorrow. I did not have time to walk, but that is ok because I was always moving, did dishes, folded wash, kitchen clean. Both car gas tanks are full. Really is a miracle. now step work and sleep. I remember the last 3 years when I was teaching, my hisband did what I was doing and it was a frantic time and dishes were piles up, alot of resentment about no one helping at home, etc. So it is a nice change to feel more centered this year.
I spent all day yesterday with my son and his family and their neighbors who have 18-mo. old twins. We had a great day. I came home tired and sunburned but happy.
So today I must go food shopping AND do some housework. I still feel tired and I'd like to just lie around all day but I also want to eat and have a reasonably clean house so I reckon I'll get going.
I have my grocery list and I'm heading out now to beat the after-church crowd. I'll check in when I get home so that I'll be motivated to actually put the groceries away.
Have a great Sunday all!
Update 2:15
Home from the grocery store in pouring rain. I'm soaked, but it's letting up so I'm going to get the groceries in . . then change clothes!

This morning I hope to do/continue several things around the condo. Throughout the day I have various activities. I feel fortunate about the activities, but I also need to get a couple extra projects done, too. I'll start now, before my bike ride, and do what I can. Then after my bike ride, I'll do what I can before my mid-morning activity. I'm not sure if I will get to update my CI or not.
I made it!! Thanks Journey!!

movingalong checks in ... awkwardly
Hello all.
Just wanted to report that I made a wee bit of progress on one project. Yay!
However, I haven't started on the most important project.
I'm attempting to find steadiness, so that I can move forwards.

congrats to movingalong!
Kudos on the progress on the one project!! Starting is always hard - way to go! Good luck on the next project, too!
