Procrastinators Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from chronic procrastination.
This morning at the gym, I did my full cardio, stretching, and ab exercises.
At work this morning I went down my assignment list. There were some deadline projects for myself & others, so I made sure I did those. At lunchtime, I ate at a nearby diner-type place, then did some needed personal budgeting stuff on my computer. During the afternoonI had to relay some messages, and was literally up and down quite a bit. At the end of the day, I prepared & highlighted my assignment list for Monday, and advised my boss of some project status.
After arriving home, I ate, & also started a load of clothes to wash. I did an errand on the way to a meeting of my other 12-step program tonight. I accomplished my errand more quickly than expected, so scouted another resource while I was out.
At home again, I am a little excited from having a great meeting tonight. I need to calm down so that I can get up early in the morning to ride my bike before traffic, etc.

i have accepted step 1 and 2 at a new level in the last 3 days. I really think, even when i check-in and use the tools, that i am still powerless. Ie it is HP that does it, not me. Left to my own i would not recover, but consistently subjecting myself to HP control, i can.
Thanks for the thread starter Edge, and it's nice to see you posting again!
The boss called early with a couple of brief assignments, so I took care of those first thing. I'm making my todo list for the rest of the day now, but I'll start with catching up email, a nice easy admin task to get the day started. I am feeling much more energetic today though, just in time for the weekend hehe.
UPDATE 1:30 I haven't really worked on the things that I planned, partly because of the above assignments and partly because something I've been waiting for on Project L came through today and required a buncha emails and phone calls to be made. I need to adjust my todo list with that info, so I can feel more successful. Maybe that's a sort of a trick/gimmick, to go back and update my todo list with the stuff I've already done, but hey, it works for me!

OK, today at 1 I have a meeting w/ my advisor, so my priority for the morning is to get prepared for that. Specificially, I need to:
*Summarize lit search results
*Put together slide on experimental strategies
*Practice
After mtg 1-2:30, I want to:
*Take notes from mtg
*Email G w/ a summary of his project results
*Organize papers on my desk
*Send out deacon notes
If I have time, I'd like to start summarizing what I've learned from bg articles.
I need to leave at 5:15 for youth group. I have no particular agenda for after youth group, but if I feel like getting something done I can work on budgeting or catch up on journals.
OK, mtg went pretty well. I didn't get the lit search summary done quite as completely as I would have liked, but otherwise I was well prepared and I got some good suggestions. First task now is to take notes from the mtg and brainstorm next steps. Then, I'll work on summary of G's project results (not sure how long that will take, but I'm hoping it won't be too bad).
I'm having a hard time this afternoon. I did well at the mtg, but now that deadline pressure is gone I'm having a lot of trouble focusing. I've taken notes from the mtg, then I fell into websurving for a while. I need to leave for youth group in about 20 min, and in that time I'd like to make at least a little progress on summarizing results for G. Back at 5:15 with a report on my progress.
Update 5:15--OK, made a fair amount of progress on summarizing results for G, prob. have about 15-20 min of work left. Going to head to youth group now.
