Vic 9/25

It is kind of late, but I need the consistency of showing up.here Yesterdayday (only because I shared here) I went through the stuff for garbage on the truck. It actually did not take more than 10 minutes. I was so angry about having to do it but boy was I happy when it was done. I thought it was going to take hours- I don't know why. thank you for this support. I also took my walk.

Today I had to focus on spending time with my husband. Even thugh all we did was take care of business and errands, it was still fun doing it together. There was a "flow" to the timing and it took the edge off for him. I guess it would not have been fun if things did not work out, but they did so I am grateful that HP directed me to that plan. now-, very warm outside. Walk,? swim? tv movie, clean up dining room and kitchen. Im having issues with my older son. I need to detach and stay pleasant. I need to keep out judgemental thoughts. (listen to program) let the light shine in and not the darkness, thanks, Vic (really put effort and time in with husband, same for son- later I wrote about my issues and was able to let them go . Then we talked about his issues- getting summer job, getting his driver's permit, his friends, and actually bonded. It all took time and effort- I want these things to happen automatically but they don't. I did some cleaning- It took time and some focus, it is boring and mundane, but I am starting to accept that.)I am going to try to get some rest tonight and get up early)

Hi Pro Buddies!

My first set of company was here earlier. The main room was presentable. There was an area with stacked boxes & papers, so it was not perfect, but that was ok.

My next set of company will arrive in about 30 minutes. I am going to put on some make-up and get ready.

Throughout the day I kept hoping to update my CI, but I either kept working on things or did an errand. Or there was that part in the middle where I did procrastinate & goof off (but I still got ready in time for the company).

8:55pm. Second set of company has gone. That went well, and the condo was still cleaned up for when they got here.

Immediately after they left, I retrieved some stacked up stuff from the bedroom. It was some stuff I still need to go through but I didn't before my first set of company arrived. I think I can do it tomorrow.

I've brushed my teeth & washed and moisturized my face. Next: Melatonin, 2 low dose aspirin, and read a little inspirational literature.

Have a great night, everyone! :)

Journey 12:45

Good morning, or I guess it's afternoon now!

I'm off to a good start but now sitting at the computer goofing off so I thought I'd check in to get myself motivated again.

I've been to the grocery store, and put up the cold stuff  but now dreading putting up the rest.   I'm having the kids AND my mom and brother over for dinner, so I need to get busy but I'm just sitting here.  In the next 5 hours I need to:

  • Put away the rest of the groceries DONE!
  • Wipe out the fridge DONE!
  • Wipe down the guest bathroom (already cleaned the toilet yay!) DONE!
  • Straighten and dust the dining room and living room (hoping DH will vacuum, but if he doesn't get home in time I need to quickly run the vacuum in dining room and living room) DONE!
  • Make hash brown casserole DONE!
  • Bake beans  DONE!
  • Make brownies DONE!
  • Wash the dishes that are in the sink DONE!
  • Set the table and put out condiments, chips, and dip DONE!
  • Cut up fresh veggies DONE!
  • Start the grill - I'll assign either DH or DB to cook the burgers! DONE!

First thing is to get the groceries put away, then wipe out the fridge.   I should be able to get that done in an hour, then I can take a short break.   I'll check back then.  I have plenty of time to do all of this and do it well, AND take a break every hour or so, IF I don't goof off much.

UPDATE 1:55 groceries put away, fridge clean.  10 minute break, then I'll put the potato casserole in, and straighten and dust the dining room.

UPDATE 3:45 taking a break, from 4-5 I'll make the brownies, do the dishes, set the table, and cut up the veggies.  Dinner's at 6 but I expect Mom to be early and the kids to be late lol.

loved this quote bt T.D. Jakes today

"If your in anything and never wanted to quit it - your not in much."

I've wanted to quit!! But this recovery, learning to fully face life is life-changing - won't happen overnite... but it will happen day by day if i stick with it! I'm at the end of myself thankfully and nowhere to hide but in God and thats a great place to finally, fully be -this is hard, but i have hope.

Did my list - Today focus on getting each next thing done

DONE IS BETTER THAN PERFECT!

YES!!

Go Grace!  I'm with you in that place!! Take care, Vic

Hi Pro Buddies!

Company coming today! Aieeee!!! lol. Fortunately I am really excited about it, but I need to [literally lol] Get With The Program around here about cleaning up! OK, I have started the bathroom cleaning to soak for a few minutes before the swishie part. I'm going to start cleaning up a few other things and bag up some trash before going on my bike ride in about 30 minutes. I will be in and out this morning, but hope to update my CI a few more times today! :)

Have a great day, everyone! :)
