Life A Worthy Purpose

:)Many people have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification, but through fidelity to a worthy purpose. :)Helen Keller

CHIPS FOR SOBRIETY TIME

I have got to get away from my computer. I need to make it a requirement that I eat breakfast, brush my teeth, use listerine, brush my hair, and immediately get outside, insetad of sitting by my computer all effing day!

I would also like to get chips for "sobriety" time in this program.  It's a big motivator for me to keep my bottomlines.

Chips for sobriety time

I love that idea.  Rewards for each success

And I'm still here.  WTF.

And I'm still here.  WTF.  I am going to start rewriting my little book right now.  I know part of it is on an old computer that is defunct, but I cannot use it, cuz old computer is broken.  Plus, old hard drive is bust.  I will write a maximum of two points.

Journey Saturday 1:30 pm

Happy Weekend everyone and Happy Long Weekend to those of us in the states.

I had to drive up to the office this morning to get my blackberry which I left on my desk :(  I won't be back in the office until  Thursday and I'd be worried about it if I left it that long, so I just went ahead and bit the bullet and drove up there.   My daughter went with me and we went to lunch at the Varsity and brought lunch home to my mom.  Ran a couple of normal Saturday errands (drug store, pet store) but didn't get to the grocery store.  I think I will put that off until tomorrow.  This means I must do housework today though, instead of sitting here at the computer all afternoon lol.

'll take a 10 min goofing off at the ocmputer break, then go unload the car.  Next: dog baths!

I'm working tonight but it should only be a couple of hours, at least I hope so.  So I have until 8 pm to do housework and laundry and it's only 1:30 now.  so . . . 3 hours for housework and laundry, 2 for dinner and dishes, 1 for breaks and general goofing off.

That should be plenty of time if I use it well . . . see you later folks!

Recycler CI 12:35pm EST

Hi Pro Buddies!

I've kept on track this am, starting with an morning bike ride before it rained :) After that I bought provisions for the week, dropped some things off at Goodwill, and bought some paint.

Today I finally ordered a sofa for the condo. I've lived here since October. This weekend I finally felt well enough to order it. Yay! :) It will be here in 6-8 weeks. Surprisingly it took a lot of courage to order it, but I did it! :)

Arriving back at the condo, I ate lunch. Now I'm ready to start puttering around. Let me see what I can get done around here! :) I hope to update my CI later! :)

8:20pm. I'm back from my evening activity. Today I have gotten a lot done. During the day I sorted through several boxes of stuff & put stuff away or discarded. I loaded 3 bags of trash & took them to the dumpster. I've washed, dried, & put away some loads of clothes. It's taken me about 20 minutes to type this paragraph, which shows me I am kind of distracted. I think I can do a couple more things, then go to sleep early.

Have a great day, everyone! :)

Think I was really tired last night...I slept until 9:30, which is very unusual for me. Then I had breakfast, now I'm ready to work.

Today I have a mtg scheduled 12-1:30, otherwise the day is free.

Priority for today is to get the "CLR" tool run...this means finishing gathering data for this, and figure out how to run it. Right now, I'm going to spend some time playing with CLR, then after mtg I'll finish gathering data.

Graditude

I listened to a CLA meeting last night and remembered what was blocking me- graditude in PA

So first on my list is 5 things I was grateful for this week:

1. Grateful that I was reminded to be be grateful leading to other "g" words: grace,God,Gifts, Generocity, Good,Gradual, Grand, GLAD

2. Grateful for the walks I had with a friend

3. Grateful for my kids

'4. Grateful for my health

5, Grateful my mom did not break anything when she fell and is now in rehap

I also find that when I read other people's lists, it makes me tired and I start comparing and next I start competing and criticizing, I am so codependent- so I need to cancel readind other people's lists.

Great to be here. Thanks.

vic

Thanks, Vic, for reminding me that gratitude is key to my recovery.
