Agnus 5:55pm

LOVE the picture and msg BGG, thanks.  I got home around midnight last night and was too wired and tired to go to bed until 1 am. Took 2 herbal sups and zzz'd out as soon as I hit the pillow, but woke groggy and head-achey this morning. I survived a major work activity involving several hundred people but was not as on as I like to be. :P Fortunately the team carried the day anyway, and I can feel good about all the prep work I did (fairly timely too) to get us in shape for the event.

J and I are going to dinner and movie tonight, and I will decide whether, how much and what type of work to do throughout this 3-day weekend. Monday is a holiday in U.S. and most "normal" folks are planning fun outings, family time, and rest.  Me? The consummate addict is trying to figure out how to do it ALL ---including catching up my office work, housework, personal care, bills, taxes and maybe paint my office, kitchen and family room, get in some fishing, shop the sales, and have quality time with my grandkids....Dear God, I need a nap!

Maybe the "rest" idea isn't so bad after all...;-)

to-do (in order of what I believe is most important):

  •  take vitamins
  • brush my teeth
  • floss
  • use listerine
  • use the periodontic brush
  • ask Michelle about 0 rep in PHP
  • laundry, only because my roommate keeps taking my stuff out and lying it in dirty places

Hi Pro Buddies!

This morning I walked to the gym, did additional cardio, stretches & ab exercises.

At work I did my deadline projects & intiated some additional inquiries. At lunchtime I walked, then had a smoothie. This afternoon I have been working ahead on a project. Next: walk home. I've got a meeting tonight in my other 12-step program, so I will go to it.

Have a great night, everyone! :)

mindfulness is a goal today. also, we are combating ants and so a goal is to keep the kitchen surfaces constantly cleaned. I am going to ask for support with this, because it is otherwise like trying to keep back the tide.

I am not feeling so great, most likely due to high pollen count. My tendency has been to let that get in my way of doing things and want to observe that and make good choices today.

Journey 9 am

Happy Friday!   Yesterday has a pretty typical work-at-home day, some good, some bad.  I did allow myself to get distracted more than I wanted, but I got a good bit of work done too, so overall pretty good.  The thing that frustrates me the most is that I have more spare time on the days that I work from home, 2-3 more hours in the day, but I don't use it wisely.  There are many things I like to do besides fritter away time on the computer, but it seems that is where the extra time goes.   I will need to think on this, and make a more conscious decision about where "me time" gets spent, instead of just falling into surfing or watching tv.

I have two big things that need to be finished today, and I'm feeling just the right amount of pressure to get them done, so I think today will be a fantastic work day.  Pump it up, people!  Let's have a productive and enjoyable day folks.  (haha that's the influence of my iron woman spinning instructor).

My tasks yesterday took longer than expected (I was concentrating ok, they just were pain in the butt tasks), so I have a lot of catch-up to do

Scheduled today:
*Germ cell group mtg 1-2:30
*Youth group 5:20-9

MITs:
*Finish compiling data compendium
*Bg reading plan
*4 hrs work on MC's project
*Finish laundry, go through 500 emails
*Prayer/quiet time

Other tasks:
*Notes from mtgs
*Read SAM paper and try to get working

Going to do a little work on data compendium (it's really boring so I'm trying to break it up), then hang up laundry to dry and have prayer time, then head to campus to do some work on MC's project

Argh! Where did the day go? I thought I was concentrating OK, but somehow I got through almost nothing on my list...went to mtg and youth group, have quiet time, did laundry and worked on data compendium, but that's it.

Oh well, sometimes that happens, need to pick myself up, do what I can before bed, and not beat myself up.

I'm going to work for 30 min on data compendium, then deal w/ a small number of emails (50) and go to bed.

500 emails

omg, kromer!  :O  I feel so much better about my backlogged Inbox - :)

Thank you bGG for this positive and uplifting starter. Just what I need to think today to persevere in both tasks and the path towards non-p.

Here I am another all-night job or 2 nights maybe  - some my fault some the nature of what I do - but it would be so easy to look at the imperfections and failings and not look to God and see the progress He has made in me. So today I am committing to focus on God and not myself! I am grateful for this fellowship and being able to come here and make myself accountable to others who understand! persevering and rejoicing and maybe hopefully taking a nap soon!

Got a few hours sleep and now up and working again - but not feeling stress, prayer has been keeping me on track

Word and prayer for the day: Psalm 40:1-2, Jeremiah 29:11

“I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock.” “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, `plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”

My to do list:

Email jobC re mtg, type invoice/email (sad that i only got this done when i should be doing job2, but happy it's done!!)

MIT: Job2 print last 3 items, format e labels, email, continue assembly

Final cuts to printer, post office

Something fun for dd, call R, Clear email, order ink
