chatbox problems

i can't get it to run today... Have reloaded the page 3x.

Could not write on chat last Sunday.

Hi

I had really looked forward to my first online meeting last Sunday. However, as the replies started coming in and covered the line where I was supposed to write my replies it was impossible for me to post comments.

Sorry, about expressing myself so unclearly but I am totally computer illiterate and have never been on a chat side before.

I hope someone can help me as I am really eager to attend the next meeting.

chatbox is working fine - try clearing your cache

In IE, delete temporary files. In Firefox it's something else. Then close the browser and reopen.

The chatbox is working fine. It's something on your end.

chatbox now working for me

i did clear my cache, and restart the browser.

Then i could "get in", but then my typing did not appear to my window nor anyone else's.

hitting the disconnect button, then again to re-connect, made it work for me.

how i got chat working - alternate

today i deleted the procrastinators-anonymous cookie, reloaded, which asked me to re-log-in which i did, and chat worked.

deleting cookies for chat worked for me, too

I couldn't get into the chat either just now. I deleted cookies, cleared temp files, closed and reopened browser and it worked. I think it was the cookies because first I tried just clearing the cache and that didn't work.

I split off this info so it doesn't get lost.

how i got chat working - 3 - closing windows w/o logging out

i closed my panon windows today again w/o logging out. When i went back to the page, i was still logged in. Browser did not close in between. but chat would not let me in.

so i deleted the procrastinators-anonymous cookie, and hit reload, and re-logged-in, but, alas, chat still did not work. It's stuck on "Chat loading ...
Please wait"

chat loading-please wait

I've never been able to get chat working for me...it ALWAYS just says "chat loading, please wait"

I feel your pain!

fix "You must be connected to send a message" by reloading page

sometimes i get the message "You must be connected to send a message" in an orange bar where the smilies usually are. When that happens, i just reload the page and it almost always works.
