Welcome to Sunday!

Pyrotecher 11:30 pm PDT

I've missed CI posting the last few days. Bottom line is that I've made progress on planning, and some on tracking my schedule. Still tending to run late against my plans.

The end of last week I finally made myself open the project folder for a dreaded project that I'm nastily behind on, and need to get serious about real soon. I only got as far as sending an email about the next critical task, but at least it's a start.

What appeared to get me going was impending time obstacles:
-the weekend (I almost always work harder as the weekend is approaching)
-Jury Duty Monday, with the unknown interruption that could cause.

In other words, I find motivation which an interruption in my routine is pending. Suddenly the need to make progress is noticed and I work to do something while I can

Now to just find the ability to harness that drive under everyday circumstances!

Monday my priority list is simple: Get to Jury Duty on time. Plenty of challenge right there!

I also have a personal committment in the evening. So whatever happens during the day, I'll have to be prepared for that as well.

If I find myself sitting on my butt at the Jury Pool (from past experience, about 75% likely), I'm taking things with me to hopefully make the time productive.

OK checking in one folder of grades to do tonight

I'll at least open the folder and look at the work. So ashamed.

CI Do It Now

Did taxes (80%) both fed and state (one more state to do)

only things not done - need more ino tht I can not get on Sudnay

Earliest finish in years!!!! (ok it was easier this yr bc of one form I ddi not do)

Feel it is a big victory tho other stuff went undone today

Next big priority:  pt jb search nb setup

CI Dotnow

Last touches are longer than expected ontaxes (of course) but it feels good knowing I could mail it today if I want - I am just getting a few last deduction sthat I forgot and found at the last minute.  Only a few $ diff.  Progress NOt perfection. I intentially est'd a couple things that would have taken time to get exact to train myselfo to avoid perfectionism .

Taxes (and grades - I am a tehcer ) are a great trap for the perfectionist streak.

Tod do: Call AR, NB, dity to see DW go to Cem.

Bed early as possible - ongoing goal.

Progress not perfection

Did :  talk to AR, CEm went to see DW

Not: bed early and NB

3 out of 5 Good!  Progress not prefection

Yay taxes !

I actually got my Fed taxes done early, as I get a refund. That seems to be motivating. Now for the State...Congrats.

boo taxes!

Haven't done mine yet, but then I am not expecting a refund, I am just hoping I don't have to pay much.  April 15th for me!  but I would like to get them done before the last day for a change.  maybe this weekend.

Agnus 4:40pm; 5:32pm

Just claiming my seat here ... even late! Today I did my usual morning routines, went to Sunday school, then had breakfast with J, shopped and bought a new ceiling fan and outside lights, called sis and Mom, and made us a good lunch and prepped for dinner.  Then logged on to check in and realized HP's timing: it was exactly PA meeting time! A good one too - only the second time since I joined that I managed to be online at meeting time, so that was an unexpected blessing.

Now I need to do a few things:  Call sponsor. Call back Mom. Reformat staff resumes once for proposal, once for website. Tweak and send final draft of proposal.  Finish updating the AP list and send with a weekly report. Off to chat...

Agnus finale 9:50pm

I did not complete what I set out to do today/tonight. Instead I made a nice dinner and watched a movie with J. There will be consequences tomorrow! However, I feel good that I am taking physical care of myself by resting and going to bed early, so no beating meself up tonight. It doesn't work to indulge the guilt and shame. God forgives me and so do I, and God will help me deal with tomorrow too. For now, I am going to spend 10 minutes in online play, say some prayers and then sleep.

Where is everybody??  no one has checked in in the last 4.5 hrs!  Must be enjoying the beautiful outdoors!  It is absolutely lovely here, +16 celsius, and I am sitting in the sun (swatting flies away already!!) and just absorbing.  And typing.   We went to the dog show, where my hubby and I decided next year to get a sitter.  Then we picked the dogs up and went for a walk along the river's dike.  Swatted teeny flies there too!  Sitting here I see small shoots coming out in my small flower garden along my front walk.  Last year I piled some mulch on top of the pansy annuals, hoping they would survive, and thrive.  I do see some green shoots, I hope they will flower too!  We will see.

That's all for now, I will check in tomorrow to get my day started!

Morning all!

Today I want to get up, get dressed and make lunch for my family.  We are going to a dog show and I would love to go for a walk with the kids riding their bikes later.  My objective is to start our outing calm and fed rather than rushed and upset!  Til later then...

Well to do list'y I think I can pretty much call this a failure, however I managed to channel my procrastination into something productive; repairing some clothes, sorting out notes and re-alphbetising my books. Things I could do while I was wathing a series on my comp, which was the real reason I failed to do all the other stuff.

So yeah, neither a very good day nor a really bad one... Hoping I'll be better tomorrow though.

chick ci & thoughts

Today the spring bulbs that I planted in the Fall are my reminder about the long term goals and dreams, that they need early preparation and waiting, not doing nothing!

laundry in, desk work started.

'We'll thrive if we are given the freedom and encouragement to try again'

Long term goals

That's really inspiring chick! Sometimes I think one of the biggest problems is that we have so few experiences with the results of long term preparation and planning, we are left only with a "theory" of it being better to begin sooner rather than later, but a theory is easy to ignore whereas "hard facts" like flowers in bloom really show the benefits...

Or something.

Word and prayer for the day: Proverbs 3:5 the message, Matthew 6:8

“Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track.” "For your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him."

My to do list:

Church 9.30 (if dd feels better)

Figure out win explorer issue

 jobA revision, email

 job2 order summary

job1 &2 supply cost list continued

Commit to do these tonight, Nope - totally avoided, had company and late nite with dd and just plain didn't face them - but i have another day... try again tomorrow - i let myself be moved by the overwhelming things in my life at the moment and got my eyes off of the solution, for me that is God, grateful his mercies are new everyday. Going to sleep speaking to my heart as my daughters, that is the next task.

movingalong checks in

Hello all.

I have a lot to do.

It's too difficult to list it.

I am just trying to do small things, and not be overwhelmed by the big things.

But that's easier said than done.
