Thoughtful words from Larry the Cable Guy...
1. A day without sunshine is like night.
2. On the other hand, you have different fingers.
...8. The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese in the trap.
9. Support bacteria. They're the only culture most people have.
10. A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory.
11. Change is inevitable, except from vending machines.
...13. How many of you believe in psycho-kinesis? Raise my hand.
14. OK, so what's the speed of dark?
15. When everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.
...17. How much deeper would the ocean be without sponges?
18. Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
... 22. Just remember -- if the world didn't suck, we would all fall off.
...24. Life isn't like a box of chocolates. It's more like a jar of jalapenos. What you do today, might burn your butt tomorrow.
Enjoy your Thursday!

there is not much time left
there is not much time left for the day, I haven't worked on my MIT at all this week. I'm trying to put this in my head, It won't be any easier, funnier or faster if I wait an other day.
So instead of trying to do what I should do, I'll just work 20 min and stop. It's better than nothing.
I'm gonna start right now.
The quotes are nice btw especially the mouse one. :-D
edit: (Yay, I worked 20 mins, I made some progress at least. off to bed now )
Recycler CI 9pm EST
Hi Pro Buddies!
I've talked to my sponsor, and to some other people tonight. I am very concerned about Friday. My sponsor says I can call her through the day and also after 5pm. Then I have my therapist scheduled for 6:30pm. Serenity Prayer: God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
Experiencing failure in life bothers me. Even the idea of experiencing failure in life bothers me. What is that mantra that Clement says: Be in the uncomfortable place, don't look for the exit, look for God to be there. Thanks, Clement & HP!
Have a great night, everyone! :)

yeah that mantra has been a great help to me this past week.
i am extremely sensitive to failure too. I suspect it's part of the syndrome of chronic procrastination.
But you've acknowledged who you are "kno thyself" that's a great start.
And i do hope that looking for God helps you as it's me. I marvel at how it "adds god" to the situation for me, rather than subtracting the negative. That just fascinates me. So either that way or another way, i am praying that god will see you thru your friday.

Hi Clement!
Thanks! I think your prayers really helped! I was completely mental all last night and couldn't sleep. Today I did make it through work, and no catastrophe -- whew!
I hope you have a good weekend! :)

This has been a productive day for me, however I didn't necessarily get all the right things done. Made several important phone calls, got through some tricky emails, and took the dog for a much needed 45 minute walk. Now I need to eat lunch, and get out the door for school....hoping that I got all of my Econ homework done. Not too worried about Psych tonight, we don't usually have homework for that class. Waiting for an email back from L before I can move forward on project KJ.
Today I am thankful for the educational opportunities I have. I pray that God would continue to encourage me to move forward in my studies, and that He would show me how my love for puppet ministry will work into my future.

All this eating healthy in the last couple of weeks has lost me 6 pounds! And that is with cheating - chocolate and donuts mostly. Woohoo!
Went to the library today, tried some shirts on at MalWart, tried to find a coat - I fear this cause is lost this year - had lunch, had a nap. Running a load in the dryer, and in the process of cleaning the kitchen. Supper will be leftovers - or pizza? I am leaning towards pizza myself!
Looked into the local maple farm hours, I hope we can do that on Saturday, I think the kids'll get a kick out of that. Bought son new rainboots and sneakers, made his day I think!
It is a beautiful sunny day, with an incredibly nasty wind. We are enjoying the sun through the living room window!

OK, yesterday was not the most productive day, but I'm hoping today will be better!
So far, I've *almost* finished my massachusetts tax forms (grr, I hate taxes), and been to class.
My remaining tasks are
*5 hours of work on WG's project
*Plan for finishing up DP's project
*Finish MA tax forms and start CA tax forms
*30 min work on organizing papers
*Email EYL (w/ documentation and script)
I'm in WG's lab now, so I'm going to work on her project for 3.5 hours (until a little after 5), then check back.
Update: Plan for work on WG's project:
1)
Summarize motif results so far2)Correlation of groups w/ UTR len
3)Correlation of Moran and Regev data w/ P/T
4)Print 2 papers
5)Read Arava paper

OK, I did 4.25 hrs work on WG's project, then came home and had dinner, then goofed off for about an hour.
Now, I'm going to finish the MA tax forms and start the CA tax forms, then I'm going to do 30 min work organizing papers, then do a little more work on WG's project. Heading to the chatbox now.

There is time in the am to go to the library to return overdue book and pay fines. Maybe it is time to read Harry Potter from the first book on! :)
