Let it Go Just let it all Go....

If there is one thing I have learned in life about beating procrastination it is to let it all go.

Hi Im shmuel and I just turned 27 and right now I am celebrating 4 years of sanity, or rather the fact that for the first time in 4 years I am sane. And not stressed out by fears and excess stress turned into visions of Nightmares walking before my eyes.

What you say does this have to do with procrastination. Everything......

You see I have always been trying to be perfect and accomplish everything in the world and never screw up-the best way to do that is to procrastinate. The stress drove me insane but it also taught me a valuable lessson-To let go.

I dont mean forget about your dreams, but to cut down what I am working on to one thing at a time, keep the rest on a list-Which I forget about untill I start to go for the next item on the list. If I screw up or fail I just let it go.... I am not perfect and can never be and to punish myself for mistakes serves no usefull purpose and only causes procrastination. Look at Alcholics the one thing certain to drive them to drink is guilt, at some point you have to let go...

Its not easy but its the most important thing in the pursuit of any goal to let go....

Maybe you wont be organised....Thats Ok maybe you wont but youll try your hardest and whatever happens you will certainly be better off than if you hadn't tried.

MAybe the Girl will reject me.....Thats Ok but you will always have the fact that you had the courage to go up and talk to her, and who knows maybe you will make a friend and if not you will certainly have something to talk about with your friends.

What if no one wants to be my friend and I will never have any friends....Thats Ok you have the fact that you tried, and you gained a skill in overcoming youre; fear.

If you just let go than you can do whatever it is without fear... fear of what the future holds and enjoy the moment. It makes you more likely to succed and if you fail, failure doesn't bother you nearly as much.

On this next Birthday I choose to take a Positive look at the world, Look at problems as challenges and Let Go Just let Go and plan for the future and live in the Moment...Breathe Just Breathe

That true, it is important

That's true, it is important to know how to let go. Only half a months ago I discovered that perfectionism halted my goal. I read it on this wiki site

And ye, we can't run on all roads all at once. We got to take one path. And who knows, when we are done taking that path the other roads might not be as important as we thought they were.

Hope you had a Great B-Day Schmuel! Thanks so much for sharing with us, I know it has made my morning.

Let it all go... great inspiration!

just breathe

thats what I am learning too, and like you, I have the birthday milestone to gauge my progress.  I am concentrating on small steps, that any action is better than no action, that imperfection is okay, and to recognize that I do well.

Let if go, have faith, just breathe...
