Hi Pro Buddies!
Thanks for the sunshiney start to the day, chickadee! :)
This morning I cooked breakfast, ran the dishwasher, unloaded some more moving boxes and tried to put things in their approximate place, or at least Toward that direction or room.
I took out a bag of trash, and also collapsed a dozen or more empty cardboard boxes for the trash. I dropped off some items at Goodwill, and bought a few more groceries at the store.
After eating lunch, I came over here to the rental condo. I've moved some more boxes, and will probably do some more later today or this week. I'm hoping to have a talk with someone, and hope to get a chance today or tomorrow.
Tonight go to my 12-step meeting. Hopefully talk to my sponsor afterward. During the last month they have been recovering from their surgery, and hopefully tonight will be their first meeting back with the group!
Serenity Prayer. I need to say the Serenity Prayer concerning a combination of things about a specific situation. God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
Have a great night, everyone! :)

Thank you, gals & guys, for being here! :)
Isabo 1009am
Another slow beginning today. Lots to do, but at least I have read ALL my emails, played my Soduko, and am awake. Tired though. Normally, I would take a nap to recharge myself. Not going to today though. I need to start doing my routines....mainly so my daughter can have this table to play with her play doh! ugh, I hate that cleanup, but I did add it to my list today!
1219pm
well, did a little bit of stuff, at least laundry is getting done and kitchen is clean. Today is my first day doing a full day of routines, I know I should start with babysteps, but I always like to see how the full picture of something is so I know how something should look.
I am not as energenic as I would like, but that is ok. It started me thinking about having bad day, and what I can do on those days. Just the minimum of the routines list, but hopefully enough to get me off the incredibly negative thinking I can do. Time will tell!
I can only deal with today, and the next five mins at a time. For the next five mins - go get the windex and finish with the bathroom!
311pm
wow, toilet turned out white! I turned the water off and flushed it, then scooped out as much water as i could, the put the cleaning stuff in and let it sit for 20 min, then scrubbed and scrubbed - it wasn't this white when we moved in!
I have done lots today, but with such a late start, I could have done more. But that is okay, I have done well none the less! Still tired, but I am gonna keep going, why stop now??
Hope everyone is having a good day too!
very encouraging isabo
it's very encouraging to me see you making progress like this. Even tho i've been here for a while, i still get discouraged, but seeing you join us and have positive results helps me believe again.

A little late getting starting this morning, but here I am now.
Right now I need to:
*
Do breakfast dishes*
Look up how to get to CR's house*
Pack a lunch*
Look over mouse expr data and take notes*
Review ethics cases*
15 min work on documentation for PF's project*

kromer 9:40 CI
Have been going incredibly slowly this morning, but I'm finally done with the above tasks.
I have ethics training today 12-2, and then am leaving to go visit parents for a day. So I'll have a couple hours in lab to work on DP's project, and then about 6 more hours on the train.
MIT for the day is to map probeset names to gene names--hope to get this done before ethics training, if not I'll finish on the train.
Other tasks are:
*Read annaffy doc
*Finish reading affy and affydata doc (except QC)
*Review and take notes on 3 papers
*Go through 30 pgs of R tutorial
OK, packing up and heading to lab now, check back when I get there.
Journey 7 am
Good Monday morning! I wasn't here all weekend, as it was a weekend full of family get-togethers. Today is a holiday for me - King Holiday in the US. I did manage to get groceries and of course had to do the basic dusting/straightening for company last night, but today is dog and clothes washing day. I have a giant pile of laundry and my dog stinks like anything.
First, coffee and planning. Then, exercise. And then, back here in the chatbox for the rest of the day!

Hi Clement, I posted the
Hi Clement, I posted the Monday starter very late on Sunday so I could commit to Monday before sleeping--of course Sunday's CI forum was still there.
I hope no one minds this experiment...actually I don't want to do the starter so often, but my timezone makes it likely that people in EST won't have done a starter during my morning.
Your motto stays in my head and keeps me going :) thanks.
PS just corrected the date-sorry & thanks
u can do the starter
it does make sense for the eastern-most timezone to start it. We had someone in greece who started the thread early. Also india and/or australia users could start it. If i have my timezones and geography correct. I just think the first person who arrives that day shd start it, no matter what.
