Well, I had set my intentions for today several days ago. Today is focused on the kitchen. However, the task seems overwhelming, because it's not just tidying up the kitchen, I want to reorganized my cabinets and pantry. The enormity of it is preventing me from getting started with it. That's why I'm sitting here with my second cup of tea instead of getting after it.
But I have been productive in my tea time because in looking over some comments on this site, I realized that, while the ENTIRE project is quite amibitious, the parts of it are not.
So I'm going to break it up into the smallest parts, and just get started.
A fairly active morning that has included a doggy walk and a complete morning routine.
Next I have to plan out and commit the next 3 hours before i have to go out. Will try to work backwards>

Now I have to get ready to go out!
Might check in again when i return and before I go out again

I'm just checking in to "think out loud" about stuff to do tomorrow. Today I'm relaxing, recovering from a hectic work week, and beating winter depression with lots of exercise. Tomorrow, gotta get a bunch of things done. Thought I would check in here tonight to start pointing my brain in the right direction.
Some things I could do tomorrow:
Thx. note to G&M
Thx. note to L&C
Wrap gift
Change cat litter
Brush cat
Do laundry
Go to bank
Balance checkbook
Pay bills
Take down ornaments
Answer pers. ad
Check online newspaper classifieds
Get groceries
Make lunches for week
Play with new gps and try it out
I have a nagging feeling there's something else I should do. . . one of those things that I've been telling myself I can get to once the weekend comes. . . hmmm, well, maybe it will come back to me overnight.
Falcon, I'm not sure what time zone you are in. But the idea crossed my mind yesterday that I wanted to make the next day's thread starter at midnight my time, before I went to bed, in order to commit to the next day's plan. I didn't because I figured it was still afternoon or evening for others, but maybe next time? --- What do others think? Pro?
In the past I have done this and found it worked very well for me. Also, there are members from all over the globe and by making thread starters according to the date line makes sense and supports newcomers internationally.

Well, I didn't get my 2 15 min spells in the craft room done - but the kitchen is still sparkling, another load of laundry (which included the shower curtain), went shopping (spent too much money) made a decent dinner ..... and through out it all was in a good mood, and energized. This routine based cleaning thing is working for me, and because of it I am achieving all these small victories. What a change from a week ago! And it helps so much that I can talk about it here, this is keeping me so motivated!
I am back at flylady again because of your delight in it and am brought back to how much it helps me when I read the testimonials there and follow simple suggestions. Sometimes I can think of Flylady as a form of Higher Power: if I get out of my way and just do what is suggested my life might get in order after all!

This morning I took my high blood pressure medicine, ran the clothes washer, ran the dishwasher, did bathroom swishies, set aside items for Goodwill, and took 2 bags to the dumpster. Then I bought provisions for the week, dropped off the items at Goodwill, tried to shop for 1 other thing but didn't like it, put gas in my car, ate lunch & a snack, read some chapters in new book, and took a mini-nap. Now I've loaded up one more car load of things to take to new condo, & doing brief CI.
Next: unload boxes at new place, cook dinner. Probably go to evening activity. See what else I can get into ;)
Today is a clear crisp -20....I have done my am routine, just need to fold laundry. It is lunch time, I need to go make some. I wanted to play todays game of soduko, but I will wait since I came here first! Hubby is still working should be home fairly soon. I need to shower, then I get to go into town with NO CHILDREN!!! Yippee!! There were two, count 'em TWO snow days this week, so it will be nice to walk around with no rugrats around!!
I want to do two 15 minute stints in the craft room today -- the last time was in there was to dump yet more items on the bed...
Have a lot to do today, and am getting a bit of a slow start.
So far, I've had breakfast and done reading for next week's ethics training.
My main task for today is to finish up (as much as possible) work on NM's project--I want to finish looking at 10 min data manually, look at 30 min data manually, make power spectra of my data and email them to CJ. (I may not get this done until early next week, but I'd like to get as far as possible today).
I also have 2 major organizational tasks to tackle: finish budgeting, and make schedule for what I want to get done next week (in particular, where I stand on PF's project and what I need to finish up)
I have some minor tasks--read 30 pgs of chem. hygeine plan, wrap bday presents
Finally, fun stuff--transfer vacation photos to my computer, go to friend's party!
Will start by finishing up budgeting, back when that's done
Update 10:15--finished budgeting, now transfer vacation photos!
Update 12:30--transfered photos, read 30+ pages of chem. plan, had lunch with roommate, now working on NM's project
Update 2:15--Having a really rough time today! Here's a detailed plan for salvaging the day:
1) Bday presents (fun and needs to get done, hope will pull out of my slump)
2)Make a rough version of code to make power spectra, not worrying about windowing or intelligent interpolation
3) Clean room to give myself a better working environment
4) Take a 20 min walk (it's freezing out, but I think this will make me feel better)
5)Finish looking at 10 min data manually
6) Get food for party tonight (fun break)
7) Make schedule for week
8)Go to party
9)If time when I get back, finish reading chem. hygiene plan.
Had a rough time this morning, but managed to pull myself together in the afternoon, I'm proud of that. Didn't finish spectra/other NM work, but I made very good progress, and finished all my other tasks.
Need to get up at 6:45 tomorrow, so I can get to church by 8 to help out with Sunday school. Back here after church (approx. 12:30)
this is going way slower than I thought or planned. Am a little discouraged. But I'll just keep on going, I changed my study-plan towards unperfectionism, so I'll get more done. It's not about perfect results, it is about getting ANY results.
o read Oth act III
o study commentary act III
x get lunch
x call Y
o think about horrible (for me to write) mail to Mr. B., maybe sketch it out
o read Oth. act IV

o go to house-warming party at 7 pm, leave library by 6:15 pm

Now I am going to knit on a scarf that I started making for my sons teacher last Christams (2007). My mom bought me a black jacket for Christmas, so I picked up some black and gray yarn to make me a scarf and I can not do that until I take the other one off the hooks. Yay hope-faith is doing something for herself. Have a great night all.
I set my tasks last night--reminding self: start before you are ready applies to everything.
