Monday 24 November 2008

It's Monday       Welcome to a new week.

Sammy ci :: 10pm

I am finally making good progress on my marketing paper....and it has become much less scary....dare I say I'm almost....enjoying it? yikes. I'lll check back when I'm done!

Sammy ci :: 1:10am

TaDa! Paper is done...It's been proofread by 3 people, I transferred it to the other computer, proof read it again, printed it, and its in my bag redy to go for tomorrow morning. Plus, I watched some tv after the paper was printed....Now its time for bed...gotta get up in a few hours!

Convalaria still working on the **** !!!!!######!!!!!! GRRR!

 Progress is slow.
I now have 5 hours to do something constructive and make some headway.
Then a function I ahve to attend.
Home by 11pm.
Check in.
Onwards in hope!!!!

"Recovery from procrastination means doing what you say you're going to do, when you say you're going to do it."

hugs to convalaria!

slow progress is still progress. Best of luck to you, and congrats on what you've accomplished so far. :)

Yesterday our internet was down, so I couldn't CI :(
The show last night went ok. People talk, and Sundays are cold so they also stay home. But I had fun and it was a good experience. I'm to play there again next weekend.

I applied for some jobs today, after a slow morning but arriving on time to a meeting. There's one job that I'd really like, I should hear from them this week!

I wish you all peace and inner warmth in this cold, cold weather.

Hi-Five for Roses

Roses-

I'm glad to hear your show went well. Good luck with the jobs.... I know that can be nerve-wracking! I'll be looking for a new job this summer, I think,...but for now, my focus is on school and building my portfolio. Let us know what happens!

Ag ci 4:20 pm

Tried to get in earlier but ISP was down. I'm in terrible emotional pain about a relationship matter that emerged over the weekend, and have hardly accomplished anything today. I took a sponsee to a 7am meeting, called Mom, cleaned the kitchen and argued with the housekeeping service that tried to charge me an extra $90 for windows after the estimator had given me an allegedly "all-inclusive" quote. Also had one AP call and a couple of email flurries. I am barely functional. Can't stop crying and my physical pain is through the roof. Anyway I need to check in, to be in my Third Step: I can't, God can, and I will let Him.

And with that, I can commit to making one more AP call, then checking back in here by 5 p.m.

dear Ag

Agnus god you in his hand. He will be with you. He loves you and your friend and your family member. He loves all his precious children. "No one can snatch them out of my hand." Sometimes when god shakes things up, it is the time he's going to start speaking in a new way into people's hearts.

I pray that you will have god's peace even as you walk this difficult ground.

Ag thanks u

Everyone's support means so much. Thank you. Clem, this thought is really enouraging. I have been an intercessor for this family for 25 years - they are all very wounded and they cope by denial and dishonesty. I agree in prayer that this is God's shaking, for His purposes. And having done everything I can, I stand.

way 2 go ag

Hugs to Agnus!

My prayers are with you. Hope things look a little brighter soon.

Ag ci 5 p.m.

Got that AP call in, so at least one productive thing. Had another, very difficult call with the person who precipitated crisis by telling me something very dangerous that a family member is doing, and then trying to swear me to secrecy.  I couldn't do it. I tried, but I can't play that way. My life and my recovery depend on rigorous honesty with God, myself and others. Now the one who told me is angry and feels betrayed. I want to run away. But instead I'm here posting, then going to pray, email my food commitment, try to choke dinner down and go to a meeting.

Hugs to Ag--all that sounds

Hugs to Ag--all that sounds really tough.

Recycler CI 4pm EST

Hi!

I'm doing my CI at the end of the day at work, because when I get home tonight it will be too late to go over to the rental condo to use the computer.

This morning brought a couple items over to new condo. Showered at gym and got dressed for work. Did projects in morning. Coworker on vacation, so did a couple of their projects (so far: not as overloading as expected). Drove home at lunchtime to find & do any remaining paint touch-ups. Did other work projects in afternoon.

Next: finish up at least one more project. After work, decide whether to drive home first or drive to do an errand before 12-step meeting tonight. I want to get this errand done before Thursday. Decision: drive home, change clothes, do errand at a different location of the store. Get soft drink with sponsor after meeting. Do a few minutes of stretching before going to bed.

Have a great night, everyone! :)

Recycler

Thank you, gals & guys, for being here! :)

Sammy ci :: 2pm

I'm having a little trouble getting into the paper I have to write.... But I'm re-reading the chapter of the book it relates to, and hopefully that will help me get in gear.

I decided not to go to Typography today...I thought the paper was more important since its due tomorrow, and I'm not required to go to Typography anymore....

Starting to think about a MIT/MUT for Wednesday...CLEAN MY ROOM. This is a little scary, but I know I will feel much much better once it's done, and there is pressure to get it over with before company comes over on Thursday for Thanksgiving dinner!

gahhh....

I'm reading and reading, but nothing is staying in my brain!! I don't know what I'm reading!! This is not helpful....

GeorgeSmiley 1 PM + updates

I've been working this AM but unfocused. Tweaking fixes on project P-1 before it goes to press. Attending to errands like new tires for the car. Checking email more often than I need to.

MIT#1: Project D-G: Need to largely finish up

MIT#2: Project TTR-C: Need to turn around quickly

BUT FIRST, need to eat some lunch

Update: 1:35 PM

Launching MIT#1

The Hero's Code:

Show up. Pay Attention. Speak the Truth. Let Go of the Outcome.

Journey 1:30 Update 3:15

MIT #1 is done, as well as attending one meeting and doing email stuff.  On to MIT #2.   I have 7 MITs for the day, so I need to make some progress this afternoon.

MITs 1-3 are done.  The hard stuff is done for the day, and my last three work MITs should be doable by the end of the work day.    MIT #7 is an errand that must be run on the way home.

On to MIT #4!

Sammy ci :: 12:00 pm

Happy snowy day! I woke up to 2 inches of white fluff on the ground this morning (first "real" snow of the year!) Everything looks so pretty with a nice coat of white over it. Today was an especially sweet day since this was the first time our puppy had ever seen snow before! He loves it, and keeps wanting to go outside to play again!

Done: get dressed, pick up boy scout wreaths, return emails, gather books to return to library, find book to deliver to K....

MIT/MUT: Marketing paper

I dropped Typography, so I don't NEED to go to class today, but I DO quite enjoy that class, and I'm sure it would be ok if I attended for the rest of the semester....we'll see how things are going. I would like to pick up the digital files from last week's photoshoot, though...and they're at school....

Now its time for lunch....I'll check back in a little later!

Tiptree Monday 10:55 am

to do:

- import case w/ folder path info
- script to export cases to a processing dir
- script to rsync and process cases from processing dir (track ids of cases processed/make sure that no duplication is possible)
- wrap up tinymce changes
- vcu query
- test 1433
- meet w/ R. + C.
- rehearsal (go over Qui Tollis pre-rehearsal)
- return/renew library items
- determine minimal case sufficient to produce mayo bug
- move validation js to its own file/debug IE issue w/ Visual Web Developer debugger
- exam date as identifier
- exercise

Journey 9 am *yawning* Update 9:30

I'm so sleepy this morning I think I'll get coffee before setting MITs.   Report back in 1/2 hour or so with MITs in my hot little hand.

9:30 MITs done.  Short break to read a favorite blog, then straighten messy desk and get to work on MIT #1.

Grateful:

I'm grateful that i have missed only 1 quiet time in the last 2 weeks. That's better than i've done for a long time, and it's 2 weeks of being on schedule, not being obsessed w/ quiet time.

It's been 3 weeks since i "fell off the wagon," sun, 11/2/2008. Altho that was painful, i believe it helped convince me of step 1 even tho i thot i was already convinced of that. I believe, ironically, that that failure has led to my success these past 2 weeks.

today:

8:55 : inbox done. MIT 1 is obvious.
9:10 (15min) : actually i tracked down my off wagon day. NOW to MIT 1 :)
12:20 : forgot to set my timers today. Been working on MIT 1, some interruptions, but not with the awareness that i'm been trying to achieve. now quiet time.
12:55 (35min) : confession. started but then got distracted. pulling myself back now. Thank HP for the opportunity.
1:40 (45min) : done w/ quiet time. I am SO grateful for the blessings HP has given me.

kromer 7:45 CI

Had a weekend of being off-track; today it's time to get back on track.

Scheduled:
*Harambee
5:30-8:30
*watch pc 12-12:30

MITs:
*Make hybrid interactome, get list of seq-specific TFs
*Run 1 job on hybrid interactome and carefully look at results
*Check in w/ CJ, do freq. sweep expt. if he's set up for it
*Organize papers

*List of Qs for lab members

Other tasks:
*Write 1 pg on how I chose coregulators
*Finish pset
*Go over prob. lect
*Talk to people in lab for 15 min
*Read nucleosome positioning paper
*Email CV
*Email 1 prof.

I'm going to start by organizing papers, making hybrid interactome+getting list of seq-specific TFs, and coming up with a list of Qs for lab members. Then I'll head to lab and check in w/ CJ. Should be in lab by 10:30.

kromer 2:10 CI

I'm actually making pretty good progress today: have gotten through 3 of my 5 MITs!

Now I'm going to head to lab (I'll bike, so I get some exercise), set up for freq. sweep expt. w/ CJ and start calc. on hybrid interactome, then go to Harambee, then come back, carefully look at results from hybrid interactome and write 1 pg on how I chose coregulators, then email CV and 1 prof.

kromer 10:40 CI

Not doing as well ads I hoped...I set up for freq. sweep expt. w/ CJ, went to Harambee, then had a whole bunch of emails to deal with. Now I'm going to start a calc. on hybrid interactome, but it won't be done in time for me to analyze tonight, so one MIT will be. Then I'm going to email CV and go over my probability notes and possibly the nucleosome positioning paper (it's too late for me to write a coherent email to a prof.) I'll work in the chatbox to keep myself on track.
