Hi!

Have some Warmth and Comfort in Your Day :)

Convalalria Hoping? No ! Working for Recovery on Sunday 1.00pm

Did mange some of my tasks last night before the movie. This morning slept untill 9 and then helped my mother with her shopping which did not happen yesterday. Have had lunch and surfed the net a bit. Now it is time for work, and for once I know what the MIT's are.

  • finish preparing and uploading 3 student tasks
  • work on exam papaper up to next stage and e mail to colleagues
  • work on response to complaint for 60 minutes
  • take breaks every 45 minutes!
  • check back in when done

"Recovery from procrastination means doing what you say you're going to do, when you say you're going to do it."

For parts of U.S.: Time Change (Reminder)

Hi!

If you are in parts of the United States that are going back to Standard Time, tonight's the night!

Or rather, about 2am Sunday morning ;) However, whether it's tonight or in the morning, remember to set your clock back an hour, if you haven't already! :)

Hugs! :)

Falcon Sat. CI

Hi pro buddies,

I'm feeling like goofing off because I'm out of sorts for some reason.

So, next up: do tuning-in exercise to get clear.

Falcon

Updated to add. . . ugh.  I totally do not feel like budging out of my chair or focusing in on what's bothering me.  Come on, self, you can do it!  You can check oven to make sure the pie crust isn't burning, then go get to work.

Falcon Sat. evening

Hi all,

O.k., now I feel much better.  Once I quit fighting how I was feeling and really listened to myself, I realized I needed some rest and down time.  I took a nap and am feeling like myself again.

To do this evening:

  • Eat dinner
  • Look for missing ATM card (I think I left it in a pants pocket.  Gotta go through the laundry and closet.) Been putting it off because it makes me feel foolish, and if I don't find it it'll be a pain. Embarassed
  • Sit down with checkbook and figure out how much money I have. List upcoming major expenses, and things that I would like to spend money on, and get an idea of which things I can afford.

Falcon

Falcon CI - having trouble getting started

I've finished dinner and am having trouble getting myself started.  I'm going to put the leftovers away, put on some music, and then try using a timer.  Better to do 10 minutes of something useful than to sit around all night.

Falcon

Falcon CI - well, darn.

Well, drat.  I've looked in all the places I thought my ATM card could be, and it's not in any of them.  I'll have to go to the bank tomorrow and get it replaced.

Next up: a quick break (use timer,) put in a load of laundry, and then spend ten minutes on financial stuff.

Falcon

ATM Cards ):

I have missplaced so many ATM cards.  One year I had to have it replaced 4 times.:((

So I know how frustrating it can be. Even more frustrating is managing until the new one comes in.

Now I make sure that my ATM card is in my wallet before I get out of my car when I get home at night. This has worked for me I have not missplaced one in over a year.

Hope you find it tomorrow.

chick's afternoon CI

Happy Saturday all and thank you for being here and for the support and inspiration I find.

I've done food shopping, some house-tidying, gotten some more warm layers (so cold here I start to sleep with gloves on), and had a bit of time off.

Now, using this CI to set some goals.

First is tidying and book and paper finding. I'm going to set myself to put away or throw away 10 things in 5 places and check in again when done. checking in mid-job--this is a good experince of breaking down tasks, making commitment, staying focussed on goal: study and bedroom left. DONE, breaking down the task works and looking at tidier areas makes me feel hopeful and ready to set another goal instead of feeling tired and overwhelmed.--One of the first things I read here: action creates motivtion. Now:

More tidying in bedroom. Done, want to do more. Then Cook. done .Then More work in study.

now: commit to microburst on books, papers. Found 'lost' book: I had actually put it away, but expected it not to be on a shelf. :? : :D  now: more...

kromer 11:00 CI

Getting a very late start this morning, but I'm finally here.

The past few days I've been doing the bare minimum to get by...that was okay, but it needs to stop today.

Here's what needs to get done today:
*Clean up my room and fold my laundry...it's gotten to be a disastrous mess
*Buy paper towels, soap, etc for apt...we're out of everything
*Balance checkbook and pay rent
*Organize my binder....it's exploding with papers
*Organize my rotation notes...also a paper explosion
*Read papers in preparation for next rotation
*Make a schedule for work on PF's project
*Do 1 hrs work on PF's project
*Go to brother's performance
*Call home

I'm going to start with my disatrous room, shopping, and checkbook. Back when those are done.

Update 12--my room is no longer a disaster! Now I'm going to deal with my checkbook and try to (gasp!) come up with a budget. Should take about an hour, back when that's done.

Update 1-I balanced checkbook, paid rent and made a budget. I also figured out when my brother's performance is. Now I'm going to go buy stuff for apt. Should take about 30 min (and will be a good chance to try out some of my new budgeting strategies!)

Update 2--pretty slow, but I did my errands. Now I'm going to call home, then start reading papers for rotation.

Update 3:00--called home, then slacked off for a bit. I think I'll be better able to concentrate if I get my butt to lab, so I'm heading out now. Should be there around 3:50, check in when I get there.

kromer 4:30 CI

Going very slowly, but now I'm in lab and ready to work. I have about 3 hours to work before brother's performance. I've got a number of papers to read before next rotation. So I'm going to print those out and read through them (working in the chatbox). Should take about 1.5 hrs.

Update 6--got through 1 paper. I have one more that I'd like to get through, but I think it's more important to do some organizing, since my stuff is a ridiculous mess. So I'm going to go work on that for 1.5 hrs, then go to brother's performance.

Update 7:15--most of the way through organizing (I have maybe 10 min more to do).

Now I'm going to head to brother's performance.  Should get home from that around 10:30, and I'll have time to do some work on PF's project after that. Back when I'm home.

Busy day today "Make it Count"

  • All day wash fold and put away clothes
  • Vote
  • Money order/e-mail payment sent
  • Get Hair Done
  • Kids Hair
  • Remove items from van --
  • Lunch

3:05 CI completed the above items while in the process of e-mailing and getting some lunch while I check in. I am a multi-tasker.

Washed and hung out 3 loads of clothes. Will do two more tomorrow and then laundry will be caught up to a managable state. Through the "Micro Burst" approach will try to maintain and manage my laundry.

Just sent e-mail and lunch is in the microwave. I have about 1/2 for I need to go and watch my Grandmothers. Hopefully that will be enough time to put away the clothes on the bed. Then I will only have to fold and put away the clothes that I washed today. Check back in before I leave.

  • Finish putting clothes away on bed.
  • Bathrooms (Trash cans emptied)

3:50 CI all clothes are put away. (Does not included the piles of summer clothes and clothes to be given away but I will work on them next) The only thing I have to do now is folder and put away the clothes that I washed today. I will have to finish bathroom when I get back from my grandmothers. While at my grandmothers I will work on lesson plans and pay bills. Check back in when I return.

  • Lesson plans started not finished
  • 4:00-7:00 sit with grandma

8:00 CI

Back from my grandmothers I really want to get the rest of the items in my check in done so that I will not have to move them to Sunday. So I am going to work really hard so that I can knock them off my list. I am going to start with the clothes. I will work in chat to help me stay focused and motivated.

  • Fold and put away clothes It is finished YES
  • Supper
  • Thank you notes Sunday
  • Get info for insurance
  • Pay Bills
  • Work 1 hour on Intel

12:00 Well I did not get it all accomplished. I moved the unaccomplished to my to list and will plan again tomorrow. For now I have hang it up for the night.

Recycler CI 6:25am EST

Hi Pro Buddies!

Trying to get started on today!

Some things I've moved to the new condo; some things are still here. Where is the specific cleaning product I am looking for? I think I may have some on the 3rd floor. ((sigh)) OK, I'll go up there. I need to do the bathroom swishies first at both condos lol! ;) That is FOUR bathrooms lol! Aieee!!! ;)

This morning: I've started a load of clothes to wash. Next: bathroom swishies, then go by provisions for this week.

10:20. Yay, the bathroom swishies are done! Yeah, it's better to just get them all out of the way at once, at the beginning of the day. lol! Put washed clothes in dryer. Took bag of trash to the dumpster. Took 1 bag of stuff over to the new condo. Bought provisions for the week. Put gas in car. Bought some needed items at the hardware store. Dropped off box at Goodwill (thanks to our handy Decluttering thread :) Took dried clothes out of dryer. Next: put away clean clothes. Pack box of goodies to send to international friend in Singapore, then go to Post Office; get lunch on the way home ;)

12:40pm. Whew, box is packed & mailed to my friend! In the midst of moving, painting, having a cold, having limited energy, and being a perfectionist procrastinator, it took a whole month to divide, prepare, & mail 3 packages. However, they are finally mailed! Several previous years this has been easier, but there were a combination of circumstances this year. ((sigh)). However, it's done now! (Relief! :) On the way back, picked up some take-out and had lunch when I got home.

Next: is collapsing an option? (hee hee ;) To do: change clothes, paint walls at my new condo for a while. I'm thinking about ordering a new outfit online.

5:25pm. Yay, I finished painting A Whole Room! :) OK, it's only taken me 2 or 3 weeks, but I did finally finish it! :) Yay! :) I think it looks, ok, too ;) We'll see how it looks tomorrow in full daylight :) Next: I've changed clothes so I can go to an activity tonight. For the outfit online, I haven't made a decision yet about ordering.

Have a great day! :)
