Sunday 26 October 2008

Have a serene, courageous, and wise week!

Sunday Online Meeting in Chat Room now - come join if interested

The regular sunday meeting is going on now - come join us if you like.

pro's CI - 2pm

I'm making good progress, but I'm getting hungry and I need a break. I'm going to go outside now - do my errands, take a walk.

Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.

Whiteduck Sunday CI

I saw a great comment on another board recently - "Eat that Frog"!  In other words, do the thing you least want to do first - it will give you momentum for other things, and the day can't get any worse!

Today's frog is:  get clothes in order.  I'm sick of diving into the closet and hoping for the best.

Other tasks today:

find mp3 player

organize finances

read - reading is like oxygen, and the air has been thin lately.

(gotta love those similes and metaphors) the usual Sunday stuff.

Not exactly leaping

Not a lot of frog-eating going on so far.  I did find the MP3 player though, so that may boost my productivity somewhat.

Agnus checking in

Good morning, all!  I started the day believing my wall calendar and my pda, which both told me that Daylight Savings Time ended overnight. So I went around the house changing clocks, went back to bed and informed J that we had an extra hour to cuddle...and thereby basically screwed up our day.  Because my pda and wall calendar are WRONG    %^&*#!! Which I realized when I fired up my laptop and noticed it's automatic update hadn't changed the we are missing our favorite worship service and now rushing to make the second-fave...while HP is no doubt smiling benignly at my usual disorganization. So when we get home after church, MIT#1 is to download whatever patch my pda is missing and properly synch it with my laptop!

ag daylight savings time

yes, i like your sense of humor about it. I guess it's next week? Our unpatched desktop changed times, but that was it. Usually i get lucky and someone tells me it DST lol :)

time confusion

Augh! Sounds frustrating. But also sounds like you're keeping a sense of humor about it. Good for you. :)

Recycler CI 6:55am EST

Hi Pro Buddies!

Thanks for the serene beginning to the day, movingalong :)

My new condo is on the 2nd floor. Under my condo is the model unit and they have already turned the heat on, so currently my new condo has "free" heat. The new condo is staying 68 degrees and above, even at night :) The temperature at my other rental condo which I am still also living in, dips into lower 60s and I don't want to turn on the heat yet. So I've taken an air mattress over to the new condo and will sleep "warm" over there on the floor for 2-3 weeks until I'm ready for my friends to carry over my regular bed ;) That will be great if I won't have to have any winter heating bills at my new place! (As long as the temp is 60 or above, I just use a space heater when getting home after work, then wear warm PJs to bed ;)

This morning: carry a few more things over to the new condo. Go to mid-morning activity, buy more paint :D Buy a couple groceries + hot bar take-out at grocery store. I'll try to update my CI later.

2:45pm. I have done a number of things today. Took some things over to the new condo this morning. Took out the trash. Ate breakfast. Went to mid-morning activity. Bought paint at store. Came home & ate lunch. Went to new condo. For the room I am painting, finished painting the trim that I didn't get to last week. Painted the remaining parts of the room. Fortunately I had just enough paint in the 1-gallon can. Whew! Was cutting it close!!! ;) For the next room(s), I can have a more strategic plan to help me better estimate the paint needed.

Next: I need to rest. But I also need to take some things to charity. I also have another can of paint in the car that I need to bring in. ((sigh)) Things are ok, but still kind of out of control here.

5:18pm. The 2:45pm check-in got me back on track ;) [at least for a while ;) I did take 3 tote bags & 2 pairs of pants to charity. I took the new paint can into the new condo, & cleaned up the earlier empty paint cans etc. I bought some spray stuff needed for the other condo. I cooked & ate dinner. I also baked an intriguing dessert-sounding item; it turned out to basically be a cinnamon biscuit -- not that there is anything wrong with that. I guess the good news is that it doesn't represent a new addiction ;) Next: hmmm, I seem to be having a mild digestive symptom; I need to go over to the new condo to find the Pepto Bismol. I've got some other things to do ... I'm not sure if I will get to update my CI again, but maybe! ;)

7:35pm. Today's final update. Did some weeding. Took pulled weeds & other bags of trash to dumpster. Took a couple things to new condo & retrieved cell phone. Had usual Sunday night conversation with Dad. Next: brush teeth, wash & moisturize face. Pack gym & work bags. Write email to international friend. Go to other condo and go to sleep.

Have a great day! :)

Thank you, gals & guys, for being here! :)

Chick's CI

at desk work; already two loads of laundry.

yesterday was an exceptionally good day for getting lots of household chores done without feeling exhausted or overwhelmed. My motivation and belief that getting-the-whole-place-into-better- order-is-a-finite-task were much stronger than usual. I want to hand onto that outlook and apply it to scary MITs.

short term work aim: finish n's pages (lots more, but I start with this)DONE; onto MITS 1 abc-- now I have assembled all the materials for this; and 2 later MMMIT

extra household task: make soup later to use in week SIMMERING
