Hi! I hope your day is All Wags! :)

Grail CI, 2.40pm Tuesday

Ok, plan for today -

Project TTS: 9 short units to complete

As much extra work to do as I want. ;P

Stop work at 7pm, leave by 7.20pm.

Hang out washing etc. Meet with M, and go to other event.

Do dishes.

Also, thank you to Agnus, and Gwen, flexiblefine, lark, recycler, georgesmiley, journey, and moving along to contributing to PA and replying to questions I've raised recently. I should still work on some replies, but thank you - it's given me much food for thought!

Cheers. :)

pro's CI - 6:45pm

I went through more email backlog and I'm taking a break. I need to be sure it's not a break that lasts the rest of the evening.

CL ci

i have 30-60 min to work with. I have a task that has a lot of ramp up. So if i p'cras i wont do any. And the ramp up will be leveraged tomorrow. It's 6:32pm.

-----

8 min later and i'm in full swing. Took MUCH LESS time than i thot to ramp up. Go figure ;)

-----

BTW i've been busy with externally imposed structure and accountability, so while i haven't changed, i haven't had nearly the freedom to p'cras as usual.

Love y'all. (Didnt have a chance to catch up, tho; hope everyone is well)

CL ci #2

next step in this task (an MIT) seems like a long uphill climb. But when i felt that earlier today, it only took 6 min. Posting here is a way for me to increase my strength to do the right thing.

42 min later and i have climbed my hill. I was very close to going to bed, but my final pre-bed task roused me so i could do the MIT task.

pro's CI - 5pm

Still going through my email box from when I was on vacation last week. I've also given access to some new members, and banned a bunch of spammers.

I'm working on my gigantic backlog - email, pile, etc. I was on vacation out of town last week, so I have just this one day.

Journey 2:30

Got the car seat, visited mom and dad, listened to a lot of stories about so-and-so who I pretended to remember although I really had no idea who we were gossiping about :).  Ran a couple of other errands and stopped by the grocery store for more hamburger and hot dog buns cause our little party has expanded to 8 people rather than 5 :).   DH should arrive in about two hours with various in-laws in tow, so I need to:

run the vacuum and a dustrag over the living room

put beans in to bake

do the dishes (again!!)

sweep dining room floor

wipe down table

rinse the "good" dishes

prepare hamburger patties

get the grill ready to light

I cleaned all junk off the dining room table and cleaned bathrooms yesterday, so I really just need to touch up the place and I'll be ready.

DH is cooking the burgers (although he doesn't know that yet!).   I got a low-sugar cake and frosting mix, and suggested to DD that she make it while I was gone and guess what, she DID!

K, I've spent 10 minutes on this post so I better get busy.

Later  . . .

hey thanks jo

wow, I'm not used to encouragement and support it. It really makes me smile--thinking: all this can get easier.

Just did a few more chores that I usually delay.

It's funny to observe how when I just do them without judging myself for not doing them before, I can get in the zone and then do a few more.

During a long spell of depression a while back, it got really hard for me to do simple household tasks. Now it is as if those tasks have gotten lighter, but still even now I don't really believe that till I just get in and do them...

Monday

Greetings on Monday.

I am checking in after instead of before. I've been focussed and purposeful today, mainly MUP away from home, so productive. I still have to renegotiate some deadlines...but:  I"ll take a breathe now, all in time...

Ag 12:20pm

Greetings, gang!  This is the first day in 3 that I have not felt ill (of course, because the holiday is almost over...Undecided)...After Step 11 here are God's and my to-do's and MITs:

  • MIT #1 - Neck traction, stretching
  • MIT#2 - call sponsor, granddaughter, friend
  • walk the dog for exercise (his and mine)
  • MIT #3 - Count the cost of new truck (all costs, vs repairing old)
  • lunch and call an old long-neglected friend
  • Go truck shopping
  • MIT#4 attend a 12-Step meeting
  • Produce the work-related results I promised to do by Tues a.m.

I can see this is likely to become a very late night, if I am actually to accomplish all this. But I see no corners to cut on timing, and my Higher Power was very clear in this morning's meditation about the MITs (which don't seem very productivity-focused to me, but that's why He's God and I'm not...) Wink.

Whiteduck Monday C I 9am

 My Step for Today:  Step 2 - "Came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity."

Today, I will -

Write up performance evaulations on my staff;

Finish decluttering and organizing for next week's garage sale;

Bake a chicken;

Finish getting clothes ready for next week;

Change sheets on bed;

Do a mental inventory of what needs to happen at work.

Today, I Will Not:

Spend time on the computer unless it is absolutely necessary to accomplish the task at hand (don't need a new exciting chicken recipe! Wink);

Get lost in reveries and indecision about potential garage sale items;

Beat myself up because my clothes are getting tight.

Whiteduck 1:00 pm

So far, I've finished the Performance Reviews and made the bed.

Next task is the mental work inventory, then on to wardrobe issues and decluttering.

It's been slow, but I am accomplishing things, most particularly the Performance Reviews which were the MITs today.

Journey 9 am

Good morning!  Thanks for the great thread starter Rec!

Heading out early to shop the Labor Day sales for a car seat, as I'll be transporting the grandkid on Wednesdays  . . .  might have a little party this after with family, but not sure yet, so I need to get to the store and back pretty quickly.

Later!
