Agnus ci 6:35 pm

Hi, PA-Pals!  Love the flash-dance starter today...thanks, moving!  When I was sharing earlier about my commitment to daily check-ins, I should have added that I usually take an "e-fast" as part of a weekly sabbath. I'm not religious about it, but it works for me. Today is an exception because we are truck-shopping, and I need to do some related research.

Earlier we went to church, relaxed over brunch and read the paper until the waitress was giving us sidelong glances Embarassed, then visited a car dealership where a friend works. We were "just looking," but now it seems we have actual decisions to make. So my only remaining MIT today is to research online, do comparatives, and check reality-based stuff like interest rates/payments, our budget, gas prices/fuel efficiencies, insurance costs, etc.  And, don't give in to J's impulsivity about these things...while remaining nice about it.

That's a huge MIT all by itself!  :-)

Recycler CI 6;10pm EST

Hi Pro Buddies! (humor)((refrains from comment about "flashing" ;)

Still moving through a holiday weekend, here! :)

Today: loaded & took items to Goodwill, visited elderly aunt, found inexpensive items for new condo later in Sept :) Went to movie. Look at bookstore, but didn't buy anything. Emails from friends. Boiled corn. Next: brush & floss teeth, wash & moisturize face. Write reply email to friend. Call dad. Probably go to sleep early :)

Have a great night, everyone! :)

Recycler

Thank you, gals & guys, for being here! :)

Convalalria on Monday Morning 5.40am

Good Morning!
I cannot get into chat either.

A mostly wasted weekend.

Start again today!

  • Morning Routine as per list
  • write out evening routine
  • think about todays classes
  • teach and keep records
  • doctors appointment
  • use spare periods to organise room and notes
  • check in after work and plan evening

the list is too long!

Journey 3:15

Decided to go ahead and bathe the dogs and clean the bathroom and take a bath myself, so I could dress and feel fresh.  Now, back to the fridge and freezer.

Whiteduck Sunday CI

It's a little late, I've been sluggish all day because I couldn't sleep last night.

With the remains of the day, I intend to:

Attend the twelve-step meeting in a few minutes,

Make a passable Sunday dinner;

Get my clothes ready for next week;

Sort stuff in the bedroom and living room for a garage sale next week.

Hope everyone is having a productive day so far!

Journey 11:30 am

  Good Sunday morning everyone!

I've had a nice relaxing morning, making breakfast with dd and dawdling over breakfast with the family.   Now it's time to get to work!

First item on the agenda: make some iced tea, clean out the fridge and freezer.  Then back to check in.

Sunday-how do you get out of the dumps

I know lots of wise advice (just take the first step... start each day as a new day), and I've even done some good tasks already.

But I'm feeling so overwhelmed by a large backlog of projects, and without enough faith/hope/determination to get going (because I think: I am so late already how can a small step make a difference) that it's hard to imagine getting out of this. Backlog of projects, clutter, chores.

Does anyone have any good tips? What works for you?
I still blame myself for all this, so I feel that I don't deserve support. I know that's not a useful way to think, but that's how it feels.

After posting this I am going to set myself a timer for 30 minutes on MIT.

--half hour done

Hi Chick!

I find the guilt and the self-blame to be self-defeating and disabling.  I get a lot more accomplished if I focus on today only, and think about what I can realistically accomplish in the next few hours.

I can guarantee myself several hours of procrastinating and wallowing in self-pity if I look at a task and think "I should have already had this finished".

You've made a great start by coming here and posting.  We're here for you!

10:00am, Lark

Happy Sunday everyone, and thanks for the flashing lights moving. Yesterday was kind of yucky. I just don't want it to continue, so I'm going to focus on the MIT which needs finished on Tuesday. Other things can be done, but I just don't want to put the main one off till the Manic Panic hits. See you later.
To do:
(X)morning things
spiritual time
MIT
general sorting and cleaning

Movinglong FlashingLights Sunday

Hello all.

I am feeling kind of blah.  So I chose today's thread starter as a way to inject a little zip into my step.

There are times when it seems there is nothing to celebrate ... but we can always celebrate hope, no matter how tough things get.

Maybe the flashing lights are a bit much -- I don't know.

I guess ... I will act "as if" I have something to celebrate.

Hugs and Hope to all,
-- movingalong

Flashing lights

Hi movingalong,

Thanks for the fun thread starter!  I'm gonna try to do my vacuuming in a celebratory way!  Laughing

I hope your blahs go away & you feel chipper again soon!
