Journey forgot to water her plants!

Thanks for the reminder Pro!  I'm putting that on my list for tonight!

pro's last check-in - 11:05pm

I'm not too satisfied with what I accomplished today, but at least I did some things. Oh well.

My teeth are brushed and I'm ready for bed. Good night!

pro's CI - 10:40pm

I watered the plants and also tied some of them so they weren't falling over.

I confess I was watching a movie while I did this, so nothing much else got done - apartment is still dirty, laundry undone.

So what did I do today... Grocery shopping, shopping for something else I needed, picked up apartment, watered plants. And read a book for a while and watched two movies. Hmmm...

did one more thing

I put some handwashing in to soak - I'll rinse it out in the morning.

headache

I still have the migraine headache. It was better for a while, but now coming back. I guess I'll take more pills, then get ready for bed.

pro's CI - 8pm

I picked up in the apartment, and I'm watering the plants (on time for a change).

pro's CI - 7:20pm

I had something to eat and watched a movie. I should try to get some cleaning done now.

pro's CI - 4:55pm

I'm back - with a migraine from looking into bright sunlight (that's a trigger for me). I just took meds but they haven't kicked in yet.

I returned the stale bread, bought a new bread knife (mine just broke), and bought a fresh loaf of bread and some milk (which I'd forgotten). Now my head is pounding and my back hurts.

I've noticed that my back hurts after I stand or walk for a while. It used to be only when I was standing, but it was okay if I was moving. Now it hurts simply if I'm vertical for very long. I think it's my posture. I'm trying to remember to keep my pelvis untipped.

Gotta get rid of this headache before I do anything else, and let my back calm down. I won't be doing laundry today, but I still do want to clean my apartment.

pro's CI - 2:30pm

I'm back from the grocery store. Now I'm going to put stuff away and have lunch.

I don't think laundry will happen today - it's too hot. I need to clean the apartment, though. Maybe I'll do laundry later when it's cooled off a bit.

need to return something to store

I need to return the bread I just bought - it's stale. (Also, my bread knife broke as I was slicing it!)

What a pain - it's hot out! I'll eat something first. Too bad I don't have bread!

pro's CI - 1:50pm

I ended up taking a nap. I'm going to go buy groceries now. Maybe after I'll do laundry. I really need to clean this apartment (dust and vacuum).

Journey 11 am

Got off to a good start this morning, then sat down at computer for a break - didn't set my timer - and now it's an hour later.  Gotta get moving again!

Dog bath is next on the agenda.   I did not get my budget done yesterday, and it is looming darkly over my head with every step I take.  I know it won't take that long to do it, I just don't want to face it.  After dog bath, I'll clean up the bathroom, get myself dressed and cleaned up for the day, then work on the budget for just 10 minutes.   Then back here, 1ish.  After I check in I can have lunch.

journey 2:30 UPDATE 2:50 4:15 4:45

bookending 10 minutes on the budget

Update 2:50  OK, that's all the budgeting I can take for now!   We're set til next payday anyway lol.  Laundry and dishes for an hour, then back to the budget.

Update 4:15 did some of the laundry and dishes - 10 more minutes on the budget now

Update 4:45

Budget is done!  Painful, as usual, but all the bills will get paid.

Now, a bit more laundry and and dishes, then start dinner.

Yay journey - persevering on the budgeting

I know how hard that was!

Sirius erased all my presets

For some reason, Sirius erased all my presets this morning - extremely annoying.

5 minutes passed and I'm not doing anything...

I'm sort of stalled. Maybe I'll take a break until 11:30am, then back to clearing the floor and surfaces in preparation for dusting and vacuuming.

If I get too stuck, I'll go buy groceries, which is something else I need to do.

pro's 15 minute CI - 10:50am

I got dressed, and I cleaned the air conditioner filter.

I'll check in again in 15 more minutes.

I've had a relaxed morning, but I need to get moving. I have a lot to do today - cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping.

Lark at 9:46

Hi everyone. I hope today goes well with you all. The pile on my table is back, and someone gave me some great advice about that. If we can't totally handle it at once, try to divide it into separate piles, like "to return", "to put away", "to throw away", etc. It's working here so far.
Today:
(X)morning routine
spiritual time
help friend
get supplies
finish next section on project A
call helper about this week's schedule
do anything to project B
check in later

Good planning, Lark!

Love the advice on piles...

... and LOL on the "do anything to project B".

I need to "do anything on project H" right now.

Recycler CI 7am EST

Hi Pro Buddies! :)

My what a lovely rose! :) I am enjoying it very much :)

Yay, I've already accomplished a Looming Potential Procrastiating Task today!!!

I came up with an easier Plan B solution that could completed quickly, rather than the original, more elaborate Plan A that was making me want to procrastinate because it was Too Complicated and Time Consuming. So, instead of moving around everything on the main level, I cleared a painting space on the 3rd level and painted my Room Divider up there!!! Yay, it's already done!!! :) Whew! :) It also gives me some experience with the paint I am planning to use as Wall Paint at my new condo in the next month or two, and the paint seems to be doing well and I like some of the rollers I have chosen, so It's All Good! :) ((basks in the glory)) lol

Rest of morning: hang around condo, feeling lots of positive endorphins from success :) Wheeee!!! :) Think about heading out around 10:30 to meet up with friend to see early movie.

Oh, I know: Pack suitcase for Thursday's trip. (I won't have time to pack during the week, so have to do it today!!! ;)

Will I get to Check In again later? We'll find out! ;)

Talk to you later! :)

Recycler

Thank you, gals & guys, for being here! :)

Thanks, movingalong & Journey :)

Hi!

Thanks movingalong & Journey & all :)

For my trip on Thursday, I also got my bag packed now, so that's good :)

Otherwise the rest of the day, I went to the movie and lunch with my friends, then read a book.

I may do a bit of exercise, then go to bed on time ;)

Have a great night, everyone! :)

movingalong's rosy outlook for Sunday

Hello all.
I post the same things every week.  My goals for things to do on Sunday ... and through the week.  Most of the time, I don't do much of it.

What I have discovered is, however, that by regularly posting this list of "Hope-To" items, I have begun to become more willing to do some of them.  I guess that's a wee bit of progress.

In keeping with the theme of a "hopeful" attitude
and a "rosy " outlook, I hereby declare these hopes/intentions:

  • Online support group for another "issue" I have.

  • Light nutritious snack.

  • Spiritual sharing with local spiritual gathering.

  • Grocery shopping.

  • Return home and eat light brunch.

  • Debtors Anonymous outreach phone calls
(and contemplation of financial planning that I had been avoiding.)
  • Chatbox Procrastinators Anonymous 12-Step Meeting

  • Work on Project H. for 30 minutes.
(note: This is one I've really been avoiding).
  • Break for fresh air and sunshine.

  • "Microburst" work on project T.

  • Walk dogs.

  • More work on project H.

  • Cook and eat a real meal.
(Have avoided this every week, too.)
  • Relax and listen to classical music.

  • Another "microburst" on Project T.

  • Personal spiritual time! My own connection to H.P. and reflection on Divine Purpose.
