Hi Fast-flyin' Pro Buddies!
Flap those little wings & fly! :) I'm trying too, lol! :)
Today: car instead of train, stretching at gym. Went into work early. 4 coworkers away today, so having to fly the space shuttle with only 2 other people there. Lots of incoming pnone calls, but surprisingly, I overall made good progress :) I need to get everything finished since I will be on vacation Thursday & Friday :D Even had time to do volunteer project; because otherwise wouldn't have time to complete it next week by the time it is due.
Had lunch out of fridge, since didn't have time/take time to go. Made up for it at dinner by ordering a desired meal at a restaurant :)
Tonight: support group meeting, followed by snack with sponsor. I had 2 happy things to tell my sponsor about :) Last week was something happy, too, so that was a nice change :) I'll see if next week will make it 3 in a row :)
Next: start getting ready to sleep. Over the weekend, I had some books I enjoyed. However, they had some scary parts, so now it feels kind of creepy. Eeeks! Will try to "refresh & renew" for tonight.
Have a great night, everyone! :)

Thank you, gals & guys, for being here! :)

2;05PM for Lark
Hi everyone. Late for me today, but my helper showed up early (!?). Really threw me off for a while. Despite some detours, my most important task got done early, and now I need to check in to keep the procrastination inner whisper from getting louder. It's too early and nice to stop now.
Tada:
(X)morning routine
(X)spiritual period
(X)main project
(X)section of other project
(X)errand to town
To do:
call client (to commit to meeting here)
15 minutes on kitchen
mow section of grass
one more section of project A
one more section of project B
check in later
9:30pm for Lark
Didn't do too bad today. I decided in a rational manner not to mow grass, so I don't count that one as a failure. Other things got done in that time, rather than nothing. I've been juggling some finances lately, and haven't paid a couple of bills. There's no DA neqr me. If any of you are DA members, and would be willing to discuss it privately, please contact me through this site, and I'll be happy to e-mail back. Thanks.
Lark's kitty
Hey Lark! A few days ago you asked for tips on ridding your cat of fleas...did you get any good ideas? This time of year my yard becomes a perfect petri dish for breeding parasites. We use Revolution on the cat, but the puppy had a reaction to it so he is on Sentinel and a walmart flea collar. We'll ask the vet if he's old enough now to try the Rev again because it works so well on kitty.
Battling fleas...Ugh!
Thanks for your concern. I put the stuff on the back of her neck, and it helped for a while. I fogged the house, too, but they came back. I took everything washable to the laundry, and after re-fogging the house, things are a bit better--for today. Seems I needed the stuff to take care of the fleas' eggs, so I'm hoping they won't explode again. When I think about them, I start to itch!
Agnus ci 12 noon
Hi PA-pals! Missed everyone this weekend. I've already had a 12-Step meeting, sponsee time, banking, spiritual time, pet care, house chores, breakfast and sorted mail. Also killed 15 minutes online "shopping." Just set timer for 15 minutes to catch-up here, - DONE! - then will chat through setting my MITs - DONE! - and get moving! Thanks for being here.
Ag bookending - and again at 3:27
MITs:
If and only when those are done, spend 20 mins to 1 hr reconciling debit receipts.
Ag at 4:20
Don't know why I have such trouble being honest about time! I know it takes me between 45 minutes and an hour to prepare and eat lunch (with husband usually), but I keep telling myself this time I'm going to do it in 30...sheesh.
Anyway back now to resume tackling the scary DWS billing, which is turning out scarier than I first thought. So I will chat my way through it step by step...
hi ag
honest about time: yeah, i suffer from that wishful thinking so much. I'm working on it. I'm trying these days to admit more how long it does actually take me on average. It's so painful. I guess i just wish it took less time?
Of course, sign 3 is this exactly, so i guess we're all in the same boat.
and, Man! ps 39. it broke my heart and restored it at the same time. It blew me away! Thanks for that incredible encouragement (or should i say pointer to encouragement ;-) )

Journey 9 am terrible, terrible
I am sitting here feeling really bad about how little I got done over the weekend. I will vent about it here and then move on!
RANT BEGINS HERE:
I cancelled WoW and promptly got hooked on Second Life. I spent much more time this weekend than I planned in SL, every time I took a break I sat down at the computer and was there for hours.
I was partly avoiding facing the budget, which I finally did Sunday afternoon at 4 pm. Once that was out of the way, I was able to focus more on what I needed to do, but hell, by then the weekend was almost over.
I've reviewed the things I did get done, and the things I could have gotten done if my butt wasn't plastered to the computer chair all weekend. I did the minium of chores to get by, got groceries, cooked, cleaned up the kitchen and I did the horrid BUDGET. I could have gotten a lot more done and still had some downtime to enjoy but I wasted every spare minute on the stupid computer. I did get some exercise, went shopping for school clothes with dd, and ate fairly healthy all weekend.
OK, I don't like feeling that I wasted my precious weekend on a stupid computer game, even though I did get the minimum of chores done.
What shall we do to prevent this in the future? I don't want to make a huge ugly rule for myself that "all the chores have to be done before you can sit down at the computer" because, besides the fact that all the chores are NEVER done, that will lead to resistance, and resistance will lead to procrastination. So, here's the deal I'm making with myself: Plan a reasonable amount of downtime for weekends and evenings and then STICK TO IT by using the timer.
There are so many things I WANT to do, why do I waste the time that I have on things that I don't even want to do??
END OF RANT

Journey 9:30 UPDATE 10:30 1:10
Venting is over, and a new day has begun. My MITs are set, and MIT#1 is done. MIT#2 involves a phone call, so I'll have my coffee break, then face that one and get it over with.
Update 10:30 took break, made the phone call. On to MIT #3! This one should be quick, but also requires a phone call. I hate making phone calls so I'm planning those tasks for early in the day to get them over with.
I'll probably be posting frequently over the next few days as I'm feeling unproductive, insecure, incompetent, and unloved :) OK, maybe it's not that bad. I'm not incompetent or unloved, but I am insecure and I can be unproductive
Update 1 pm - MIT #3 is "sort of" done, the result of the phone call is that I need to fill out a form (the joys of bureaucracy), but I'll do that later or tomorrow maybe. Now, working on MIT #4, about half done.
