Procrastinators Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from chronic procrastination.
The problems in the chatbox now are invisible to users now, but there are still issues with the administration panel. I tried to fix one of them yesterday and it broke the chat. Unfortunately I didn't notice it until bedtime, and I had to back that out.
Heading over to the chatbox now - need to get dressed and leave for work.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.
this week has been very busy, and not a lot of choices. On call at work having to solve problems. i work well when there's no choice of what to do, and this HAS to be done next.
Still, there are many moments of dread that i have to work thru. I've been telling myself "shrink the self" which seems to work. It's an act of surrender to HiPo; i get smaller and there's less of me to feel dread.
Busy, busy, but not a productive day today. Gonna try to create a success or two this evening. Too many favors put me backwards. I hope to check in soon with good news.
This evening:
(X)ten or fifteen minute nap (can't screw THAT up)
(X)work project A
(X)check back in
kitty box
Have worked pretty well this morning, but now I'm losing focus and need to check in.
Next up:
1)Make table w/results from calculation
2)Read paper on dataset, write a summary of where the dataset came from
3)Revise spanish composition
4)Go to group meeting, leave promptly at 4
5)Read 2 biochem papers
Today was a heavy day at the gym and I'd like nothing better than to lay down and take a nap. But, here I am at the office and I have a meeting in 30 minutes. Time for coffee. I had hardly any email, so I'm going to skip that task and go directly to setting my MITs. I know I have some tasks that I had planned to do yesterday, but postponed because I was "in the flow" with the OPM project so I kept working on it.
Forgot to get a gas cap yesterday . . . I'll need to do that tonight!
Happy Hump Day, back around 11ish
Man, this place is empty today! Just me, Isa, and Krom!
Today is going ok, I'm having a bit of a hard time because I'm doing a lot of shorter tasks today. I tend to lose focus when transitioning from one activity to another and I start looking for distractions. I'll post when I finish lunch and then again at transition times throughout the afternoon.
Actually I have a meeting at 2:30, so I'll be back 3:30 ish.
K, all my change requests are in progress now. Let's see, what shall I do for the last hour of the work day?
1 - work on my online course for 1/2 hour
2 - prep for quarterly review with boss - 1/2 hour
On the way home, I need to stop by the bank, and get a gas cap. dd is cooking, so I'll clean up the kitchen, and prep for tomorrow, and watch American Idol. Jason Castro has to be going home this week.
Guess who's still up. And why? A chatbox bug.
This chatbox is going to drive me insane, destroy my health, and who knows what else.
At least I'm ready for bed now, even if I'm not in it. Well almost - teeth are brushed, but I don't have my jammies on yet.
pro, the chatbox is good enough!
The chatbox is fabulous as it is (obviously, since I'm working in it all the time)
Please stay sane ;)...your hard work has gotten rid of all the obvious bugs, anything that's left is not a big deal.
I should be in bed already, but I'm not. Heading to the chatbox to give myself a kickstart.
movingalong, Wednesday update
Hello all.
Sorry I haven't checked in much lately. The good news is that I've been very productive.
I've just been too busy to go online much lately.
Still struggling but making some headway.
Just wanted to send cheers and support to all.
