c ci 11:20pm

busy day. Hardly any unscheduled time to procrastinate in. I've been reading this site and chatting for 1 hr, tho, now. Sounds too high, huh?

I'm not going to be up much longer. I think. And my MIT is my quiet time w/ HiPo.

So i will follow kromer's lead and execute my MIT.

pro's CI - 9:30pm (getting ready for bed)

I'm getting ready for bed now - don't want to stay up late.

Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.

kromer 8:40 CI

I'm very tired (I did a 20 mile charity walk today, which was a lot of fun, but a tad bit harder than I thought it would be...), but I have some tasks I need to get done:
*Check over code for computing zscores on Novartis data
*Finish getting estrogen receptor data
*Start 5 jobs on zscore data
*Laundry (in dryer now...)
*Spanish textbook reading
*Food order

OK, I can do this! I'll start by getting off my butt and starting the laundry.

Update 9:15--laundry is ready to start, but machine is full. I'll go downstairs in about 20 min and look again.
Now I'll work on getting one set of estrogen receptor data. Motivation: terror about meeting with advisor tomorrow. Hope that will be enough to overcome exhaustion/general desire to procrastinate. I'll work in the chatbox to help.

Irony

Hi guys, I haven't been here for a long, long time. Alas, this isn't becuase I have had a miraculous recovery. It is more becuase I've digressed. A lot. Anyway, my therapist is recomending that I prepare a speech for her about procrastination, and that this will help me. I've already missed three 'due dates', and I think this is mostly becuase I know that she expects me not to do it. I've suddenly got the urge to finish it and surprise her, becuase the pressure of ever having to get it done is gone...normally, this would make me less likely to do it...but anyway...

I have no idea what to write on the subject. Anyone here have ideas?

Today
Write my speech on procrastination
(I'm going to skip everything else becuase I'm so excited that I might actually finish something)but I should do my pilates..though I won't.

speech to whom?

Speech on procrastination? To whom? I'm missing something.

movingalong's sunday check-in

Hello all.

I've been exhausted and haven't had the energy to post here in past few days.

I am healing from a temporary (non-serious) medical issue.

  • I have been staying on task at my job.
  • I paid my rent and paid my internet bill.
  • I've cared for my pets, bought dog food, changed litterbox, petted kitty, combed dogs.

That's all I've been able to manage past few days, but those were my most important tasks, so that's okay.

Yesterday, I slept most of the day.  I am somewhat functional today.

Today's plans:

journey 11:30

Good morning!  Yesterday was shopping and errands day.  Didn't check in, which resulted in spending too much time playing Second Life, but overall not a bad day.

I slept late again today, which I guess is ok to do once a week, but it throws my sleep off schedule.  I stayed up too late, had trouble getting to sleep, then had nightmares.  I dreamed dh traded our two dogs for a new dog and then tried to explain to me that the our dogs were getting old, grouchy, and having health problemes so he got me a new one.  I couldn't make him understand that I wanted MY dogs back, lol.   What a dream.

NEway, I've done some laundry and set my MITs for the day.  The kids are coming over for dinner so I need to get a lot done before dinner.  Next on the agenda is bathing the itchy smelly dog that was NOT given away and clean up the bathroom after that.  Then change sheets.  Check back at, oh, 1:30 ish.

Have a great rest of the weekend all

 Journey

Journey 2:30

Dogs are bathed, I'm cleaned up and dressed, and both bathrooms are clean(er).  Now to change the sheets, straighten and dust the dr and lr, and make the veggie casserole for dinner.  Back at 4 or so . . .

to Journey: goodness, what a nightmare!

Hope you have some "quality time" with your beloved doggies today.  Even if it's just bathing them.

Hugs!

thanks movingalong!

I was so happy to wake up and find my doggies were still here!  Although now I want the new dog too lol.

9:35 am, Lark, and 3:10pm Doing OK

Good morning. Yesterday's list didn't get entirely crossed off here, since some things popped up. But...the stuff which came up got done. I'd put something for sale in the newspaper, and the calls have been amazing. Most have been to ask questions when the answers are in the ad! No one has actually shown up, so sticking around here is planned today.
Today:
(X)morning things
(X)spiritual (not "me") time
(X)deal with yesterday's project and client
(X)general cleaning
(X)focus on project A
kitchen table (ugh)
one hour on next project
(X)check in around lunchtime

pro's CI - 9:15am (chatbox timeout fixed)

Bed is made (futon converted to couch), and I fixed the timeout problem in the chatbox. Now I'll get dressed.

pro's CI - 8am

I'm up and fairly rested - after nearly a full day of sleeping yesterday. Today's to-do list:

- Pile
- Bills
- Laundry
- Gym

I think I'll start by making the bed, then getting dressed. I might hang out in the chatbox today and check in there.

Recycler CI 5:50am EST

Hi Edge, Teddy Bear Hugs, & everyone! :)

Ths morning before my bike ride, I am going to start a load of clothes, straighten the lower level, take my high blood pressure meds, unload the dishwasher & see if a new load of dishes needs to be started.

After the bike ride, I may do another check-in, to see if there are other things I need to get done before meeting friends for a movie, lunch :)

Have a great morning, everyone! :)

Recycler

Thank you, gals & guys, for being here! :)

Recycler CI 9:40am EST

Hi!

Before and after the bike ride, I have gotten a few things done. I've washed a second load of clothes & a second load of dishes. I made the bed, straightened the lower level, deboxed a doll, and re-set the electric clocks after I accidently unplugged them. I've put a bag of trash by the door to drop off on my way out.

This is about all I can get done before going to see my friends.

Have a great day, everyone! :)

Recycler

Thank you, gals & guys, for being here! :)

Recycler CI 9:30pm EST

Hi!

I only did a couple more things today, after the movie and lunch with my friends. I colored my hair and wrote an e-mail to my overseas friend. That was about it!

I hope everyone else has a great night! :)

Thank you, gals & guys, for being here! :)
