Have a happy, productive day!!

pro's last check-in - 10:30pm (check-out)

I finished watering the plants, teeth are brushed, jammies on. I'm going to get into bed now. Hope I can sleep. I'm very tired, but I've had trouble sleeping the last week.

What a relief to have the books out of here and the place a bit picked up. It's a very small apartment and the clutter was driving me insane.

Good night!

pro's CI - 8:30pm

I emptied the trash, watered a few more plants, and cleared some of the crap off the desk.

Sadly, I realized that one of the piles is of saved magazines and books printed and in folders - that is, stuff that goes in the bookcases. There is no place to put it unless I toss more books - or toss some of the magazines and folders. I don't have the focus to go through it now. I'll save that for tomorrow. Maybe I'll iron tomorrow, too. I need to put more things away before I have the room to do it. I have a lot of recycling to bring downstairs tomorrow.

I'm starting to not feel well - or even less well. Need to rest.

pro's CI - 7:30pm

I washed a big chunk of the dishes (take-out containers, really - for recycling). I'll wash the rest when those dry and there's room in the dish drain.

I started watering the plants - good thing since I didn't do it last week and they were dying.

I'd like to get some of the crap off the desk, and still need to iron shirts.

Lark, 7 o'clock and out of sorts

Things aren't bad, but the day didn't work out as I'd planned. That means I'll have to catch up tomorrow, and I'm having company then also. It's gonna be alot of juggling. I was planning to go to my 12 step group, and out afterwards with them, but perhaps I should finish today this evening. If I do really well, I may be able to catch them at the restaurant. I've been in a similar space as you Pro. With the nice day, I've been missiong several people.

pro's CI - 6:30pm

I lay down for a little while, but I can't stand the mess in here for another second. I have to clear at least some of the crap off my desk. I also need to wash the dishes, water the plants (didn't do it last week), and iron some shirts.

sunburn

I just noticed I have a pretty significant sunburn on the back of my neck from sitting in the park all day. Oops.

pro's CI - 5pm

I read in the park for another couple hours, until it started to cool off. Now I'm back home and plagued by the big pile of crap on my desk that I don't know what to do with, but I know I should rest today and deal with it tomorrow.

I brought four bags of books downstairs, and of course New Yorkers grabbed them all up in minutes. I still have one more bag.

Journey 4:45

Great day so far, I've been to yoga, visited mom and dad, went to the bank, went to a book signing (what fun!  It was Mary Kay Andrews), and bought groceries.

Now I need to put away the groceries, make dinner, and prepare for work tonight.  Work shouldn't be too bad, should be done by 1 am or so.  And I get Tuesday off for working this weekend, so not bad at all.

taking a 30 minute Warcraft break . . .

check back by 5:30 to say I'm getting to work on dinner . ..

Journey 6 pm

k, so it was an hour break instead of half an hour!  Now I need to finish putting away groceries AND make dinner by 7.  Better get busy!

pro's CI - 2:15pm

Eh - I don't want to be in my apartment. It's too beautiful out. I'll find another novel to read (just finished the other one) and  go back to the park. I'll bring down some bags of books, while I'm at it.

pro's CI - 1:15pm

It's the most perfect, beautiful day here imaginable - could not be better. 71 degrees, sunshine, spring flowers blooming everywhere, not a cloud in the sky. I read in the park for a while - just finished my book. But I'm exhausted. If there was a place I could take a nap outside I would, but there isn't so I'm back in my apartment. I knew I would need to rest today so I'm not making myself feel guilty over it. Maybe I'll do more later today, maybe not. I'll do things tomorrow. Right now, I need to lie down. I wish I could be outside more, but I'm too tired to walk around.

bagged up the books

I bagged up the books so I could at least get them off the floor. I'm thinking about putting them out in the hallway, but I'd need to take down the recycling first and I'm not feeling up to that. Might do it anyway.

I had more stuff on the floor that I pulled out of the bookcases and need to go through. I'm not going to do that today, but I picked it all up and put it on a table. I can't stand all the stuff on the floor anymore.

Okay, really do need to lie down now. Still wish I could be outside (and lying down).

what to do with all this stuff??

I put the books in the hallway. My neighbors won't appreciate it, but I was desperate to get them out of here.

I'm not going to try to sell them - too much work. I'm going to just bring down a bag every once in a while and let people take them. The loss of money is a shame, but maybe that will just teach me to stop buying so many books.

Meanwhile, I have a huge pile of stuff on my desk, picked up from the floor, and I have no idea what to do with it because I have no storage space here. I don't even have a place to put the phone books - the bookcase is full. I should let it go for now and rest - make it tomorrow's problem.

Oh sh*t - just realized I bagged up a book I'm supposed to return. I didn't see it when I was bagging. Now I have to go through all those bags.

found it

I found the book in the first bag, thank goodness.

Must stop and lie down. So tired... If I rest, I can go out again before the sun goes down.

Peggy's Check-in

Entertaining grandson, so I mustn't be a stick-in-the-mud, I will get chores out of the way so we can have fun.  Meanwhile, he plays video games while I do the following;

- Curtain time (Bible reading, prayer and listening time)
- Laundry
- Dishwasher
- Pay bills
- Continue receipts
- Repot plants
- Clean off deck
- Admire hubby's work on sheetrock (keeps him smiling while he works)
- Plan something fun for tonight

Seems like a lot when I write it down, but some will go quickly I hope.
Cheerful vibes to everyone!

~peggy

Mid-day check-in

So far I have done:

Curtain time
Laundry
Pay bills
Repot plants
Scrubbed grout on kitchen tile floor (i know, i know, this wasn't on the list - i got distracted)
Admired sheetrock
Did some more receipts

Soooo tired.  Not used to working so hard, wore myself out on kitchen floor.  Ugh!

curious

why do you call it "curtain time"?  I'm intrigued.

Curtain time...

Scripture tells us that God invites us to approach him boldly and tell him our every thought. I envision him like in Old Testament tabernacle, within the holy of holies, behind the curtain.  Only once I had the feeling almost of being a child, going up to the curtain, flinging it open and saying HI!  And instead of a little room, the curtain opened to the whole sky and warm sunshine and we would just "hang" together in a large place like a garden outside.  I often wake up, look up, and in my mind I fling open the curtain and smile and just say HI!  I could swear he smiles and says hi back to me! I listen a lot there and get the neatest insights, and he helps me plan my day. So the place we meet together is "curtain time".  Hope that makes sense.

Sorry if this is too religious or offends anyone.  Some sites discourage such.

sounds beautiful

i can see how it helps you.  I have had similar experiences.  In meditation i have looked into the tiniest kernel of my heart only to find an infinite world of God's light and love and joy.  They are precious moments to me.  Hard to get myself back to, tho.

Recycler CI 11:10am EST

Hi Pro and pro-ductive Pro Buddies! :)

:) Since joining this group, I now have a Saturday List, and my Saturdays are soooo much better!!! :D

Today I washed 2 loads of clothes, dried 2 loads of clothes, have put away 1 load so far; I did an initial straightening of the ground floor (need to make another pass now lol), took high blood pressure meds, ran dishwasher, prepared a box for Goodwill, brief moment for an inspirational thought, decided which form of payment to use at store, put library book by door, gathered cloth shopping bags, and took out the trash.

Next, into the car I put my library book and cloth shopping bags.  I did an errand on the way to the store.  After buying my weekly provisions, I received my FREE reusable Earth Day Tote Bag from Walmart (unexpected!), then put gas in my car.  I dropped off the box at Goodwill (only 2 items this week, but I gotta keep taking items or else they pile up lol).  I turned in my library book and checked out another one.

Back at home:  it's early for lunch, but I was hungry, so cooked & ate an early lunch.  I still have the clothes dryer going, and need to put stuff away.

I have more energy in the morning, so that's why I can do so well on my Day Off :)  Plus I have an afternoon activity, so I still need to finish up a few things before it ;)

We'll see if I get anything else done, and if I get to check in again later! ;)

Have a great day, everyone! :)

Recycler

Thank you, gals & guys, for being here! :)

go lark and pro

sounds like people are making the best of their situation.  Keep it up people!

I have about 1.5 hrs and i am going to figure out my MITs for that task.  And stop procrastinating here.  Because there's only 3 posts.  And i've read them.   so there shouldn't be any reason for me to keep clicking on things here.  so i'm really going to stop.

9:45am for Lark(7:00pm)

Hi everyone. I've been tired in the morning lately--hope it isn't a trend. Yesterday wasn't great, but I ended up further along than the day before. Part of my stress lately is not telling people "no", so I'll be working on that today. Something urgent is coming up for work this afternoon so I have to be productive this morning and evening with the normal things here. Good luck with today everyone.
To do:
morning things
spiritual (not me) time
drink water
work catch up and prep work this morning

afternoon's project
catchup after the last line
general house cleaning swoop
check in afterwhile
take plastic off stairway for Winter

pro's CI - 8:20am

Good morning! I haven't been the day thread starter for a while.

I stayed up very late last night sorting through books. I have a lot I want to do this weekend (including upgrading the software in this forum), and I don't want books to eat up all my time. I'm tired, though, from staying up so late.

I still have a huge pile of books on the floor that I have to find some way to get rid of. I'll call about selling them at the street fair today. I didn't have time to do it during the week.

Right now I'm going to finish getting dressed (just got out of the shower).
