shopping for books instead of going to bed

I'm absolutely exhausted, and instead of brushing my teeth and going to bed, I'm shopping for books on amazon.com (like I need more books).

Brushing my teeth now...

Recycler CI 9:15pm EST

Hi!

I hope everyone will wake up feeling a lot better tomorrow! :)

My day:  walked, gym, work.  Became emotionally distracted by surprise news, but contacted friend.  Worked the rest of the day, walked home, had once-a-month counselor appt, washed/dried one load of clothes.

I may be away from the computer for a day or two, so I hope everyone has a great weekend! :)   Hugs! :)

Recycler

Thank you, gals & guys, for being here! :)

Journey 4:30

Been working steadily on RA, have been "in the flow" so I haven't even taken a break.  I'm enjoying this task.  Taking a quick empty and refill break then back to work!  I think I should be able to finish this today.   Why can't all days be like this lol ??  At least like the last half of this day.

Journey 12:45

I went out for a nice lunch with an old friend.  It was a nice break.  Back to RA.  I'll work on it for an hour and then have a web surfing break.

My stomach hurt all night. I'm better now but tired and sleepy. Already scheduled an appointment with the doctor. I had planned a couple of important things for today, that will have to be postponed. Still, I plan to do 2 things today:

- Finish the calculus problem I started last night
- Put up for auction one of my power tools (I've been delaying this since Christmas!!!)

Migraine

I'm done with calculus and I'm off to bed. My head is killing me.

must be migraine day

I had a migraine today, too. I woke up at 5:30am with my head throbbing. Took some pills and went back to sleep. I haven't been getting them lately. This was the first in a while.

Edge's CI - 6:08PM

Not feeling so great today. Won't be setting up a to-do list; got a migraine and just want to relax and wait it out. Hope everyone is doing all and feeling alright. Take care, all :-)

Journey 10:45

OK, I'm all organized.   I hate that it takes me so long to get starting actually working in the mornings, but I know from experience that if I don't get my mind and my intentions clear for the day, it will be wasted.

Now I'm going to work on RA until lunch.

Planning

Hi journey

Planning is important, but if you're not carefull it can become a way to procrastinate too. I know it from personal experience.

Planning

You are so right Troy.  I love wasting time trying out new time management tools, too!

this is in the main article on this site by pro.  First time i read it was one of those "i can't believe he pegged me so well" moments.  Of course by now i've gotten used to it on this site.

made progress on work MIT--again!
that's going well.  I think i'll be done soon.

But i have extracurricular tasks that are stressing me because the deadlines are short.
11:05am (yeah that specific) call D re: list
pray / step 3
task p
exercise
5pm call D,k

6:30 task switching stress, plowing thru
instead of those 2 tasks, i did my TAXES.  --  Am i the last one?  They're not done, but most of it is.

Now it's quiet time for me.  then bed.  Or will i procrastinate...

Journey 9:15

Good morning!  Back in the office today, and looking forward to getting back to my regular schedule next week.  Well, I'll be the on-call person next week so it may not be totally normal, but close enough!

I went to the gym, and I've read and processed all my email.  Next, I'm going to straighten my desk, set my MITs for the day, and take a few minutes to meditate and visualize a successful and enjoyable day.

Back in an hour or so.

8:30am CI for Lark(1:34pm)

Good morning everyone. It's rainy but warm here this morning (with cold and possibly some snow rolling in for the weekend). I used my timer yesterday for a total of one hour for cleaning and decluttering. Still more to go. Today will be focused on catching up for the week, although I'm going to start on a new project for work. Tonight I'm going to a meeting of my 12 Step group. I'm celebrating an anniversary.
Today:
morning routine
meditate and reflect

begin next work project
period(s) of cleaning and decluttering
spend an hour each on other work projects
prepare laundry for washing
do dishes
go to 12 step meeting
check in around lunchtime

I've off to a meeting. I didn't do dishes or sort laundry, and my work was a little "slack". I didn't feel up to par today, but I'm carrying those things over for tomorrow.

lark

congrats on the anniversary! Recovery is a great thing!

Did all the stuff on my last list, went to youth group, now I'm exhausted.

I always leave my work that requires thinking (specifically, work on my thesis) until late at night, when I'm so fried I can't possibly do it. I need to commit to doing it early in the day.

I've cleared out tomorrow morning (postponed meeting with a friend until the afternoon), so I can spend 8-12 catching up on my thesis work.

For now, I'll try and get some must-do busy work out of the way
Specifically, I'll do as many of the following as I can:
*Revise my Spanish composition
*Figure out sensible conc.'s for my expt.
*Organize my binder
*Clean 100 emails out of my inbox
*Finish biochem reading
*Do Spanish textbook reading
*Do workbook exercises
*Do lab manual exercises
