Edge's CI - 11:35PM

Finished washing the dishes. Don't feel like doing the countertops or much of anything else. ... Home alone and in a depressed sort of mood. :-(

Edge - you and me, both!

I feel just like you - home alone and depressed. I just finished washing the dishes and don't have the heart to do anything else. Maybe knowing we're together in this will help?

9:45 CI for Lark

Hi folks. Hope you all do well today. My brother is visiting today, and while we catch up on things, he helps me with tasks around here which need more than one set of hands. Then too, I don't procrastinate nearly as much when someone is merely around.
 Today:
 morning things
 spiritual (non-ego) time
finish one section more of main work project
get brother to help with ceiling in cellar
 normal house cleaning period
 clear out garage
 check in laater

spiritual (non-ego) time

How insightful!

Freshstart

Good Morning Everyone:

Well it is almost 9:30 in the morning and I just woke up. I guess that means that I am already starting late but that is ok.  My list for this morning

answer emails
make bed
breakfast
shower / dress
laundry again
put xmas stuff that was found around house this week away
review budget
I will check in this afternoon and do an evening list.

kromer 9 CI

Fell asleep again without finishing my to-do list (and without setting my alarm)--this seems to be happening a lot lately. :(
Step-by-step this morning
1)Breakfast (done)
2)Get dressed, tidy room
3)Deal with email
4)Email essays to friend to look over
5)Deal with notes to myself
--Check in--
6)Sort my huge piles of papers, put some in binder, put others in my room when my roommate wakes up
--Check in--
7)Make motif comparison print out nice results
8)Check some non-human motifs by hand
--Check in--
9)Go running
That's more than enough to start!

kromer 11:30 CI

OK, I've done 1-5, and I've had all the organizing I can stand!
I'm going to go out for a run, then figure out which grad schools require reports of fall grades/print out forms, then have some lunch and and check in again.

kromer 2:30 CI

Done (with about an hour of goofing off that crept in there somehow)

Now, I'm going to:
1)fold my laundry.
2)do a little work (check non-human TFs, finish automated motif comparison, do and post a good GO analysis)
---Check in
3)Make a shopping list and go grocery shopping.
4)Attack my pile of work papers
--Check in
Maybe go out to dinner with friends around 6?

kromer 9:10 CO

OK, very LONG (but fun!) dinner break. I did 1) and 3) but not 2) or 4), so I'm going to start in on those.

kromer 10:30 CI

Having lots of trouble focusing...keep getting started on my pile but then getting distracted. I'm going to get my work papers taken care of by 11.

PA seems to be working though! I found a "must do in next two weeks" list from the being of January in my pile, and almost everything on it is done. That's really unusual for me--yay!

Update 10:59--DONE with work pile, one whole minute ahead of schedule. Now a little work, and then bed.

UPDATE 11:40--Failed to get work done, but did talk with friend about essay revisions. I'll get results from automated motif comparison, then go to bed.

UPDATE 12:00--Started getting results, found a bug, worked on fixing some but will need to wait until morning.

maybe you need the sleep?

If I don't get enough sleep for several nights in a row, my body wants to make it up and I can't get out of bed. Maybe you're just tired.

elisaveth: rescuing Saturday

It is 3:30 in the afternoon and I am trying to drag my tush out of bed. I have had a dreadful sinus headache all week, but I think some of my ills have to do with reliving applying to colleges (my son has his applications due by the 15th). All of my procrastination buttons are being pushed, the taxes that must be completed for financial aid, the figuring out how to declare residency when one lives out of the country, all of my inadequacies are going off like flashbulbs. So, for today, I am going to take it one five minute timer at a time.

I am being barraghed (sp?) by my kids today: one, the senior in high school is wearing a blanket as a cape and asking for editting help on his essays. The other, 14, thinks that it is the coolest thing since sliced bread to hold me down and tickle me. The more things change, the more they stay the same....In the meantime, my bedroom looks mildly better and the ornaments are boxed up. The briefcase is looming large, however....
