Yesterday (Friday 4 Jan), I posted this: "I have to work on Humungous Task "X" today. Time to get started ..... and kick butt !"
Amazingly, I actually did work on Humungous Task "X". And I kept on working on it through the night. And Higher Power provided some miraculous assistance. And I finished it today.
Happy Weekend all Todays been a fun day so far, I went to yoga, then met a friend downtown for lunch, bought groceries, returned a shirt. I've been home 45 minutes and I have yet to do anything useful around here. . . need to get off the doggone computer, put away the groceries and make dinner. I'd like to get a load of laundry and the dishes done too before I call it a day.

I decided to make today "Clean up and Put Things Away Day". It's really amazing how a little time and energy can make everything look better. No scrubbing, vacuuming, or any of that heavy stuff: just sorting and tidying. One work project from yesterday went very well. Yeah. Gonna try for a repeat performance today. To do: morning things spiritual period tidy living room put laundry away tidy kitchen next section of work project put stuff away in workshop check in after lunch
Have had a hard time getting going this morning, but now am going to work hard until 10:15, then go meet a friend for the day. I will work on my NDSEG essay, and think I should be done with the rough within 45 minutes. I'll check back in when I've finished that.
EDIT 9:35: Done with my rough about 10 minutes early. Yay! Now I'm going to deal with email, take out the trash, tidy my room and head out! CI again when I get back (around 5:30 or 6 probably, I need a little time to work/organize this evening)
On track until 6:30, then had trouble getting back to work after dinner.
I've been putting off making these error bars for ridiculously long, and it's really not that hard, just a bit dull. Not sure why I'm having such a hard time, but I'll break it down and get it done.
1)Gather data (done)
2)Compute standard errors (30 min)
3)Figure out how to add custom error bars in Excel (15 min)
4)Add standard error bars (30 min)
5)Convert graphs to pictures and post on web (15 min) EDIT 10:30 still hard at work on my graphs, but I realize I have a lot more cleaning to do on the graphs before they're ready for my advisor to see. I'm going to work on them until 11, then call home and then call it a night. EDIT: 11:55 Finished computing std errors and cleaning up graphs, called home, read over friend's feedback on NDSEG essay, dealt with email for the day, now very tired and going to bed. Will try to check at a reasonable hour tomorrow morning.

I woke up lazy and lacking coffee, and a little frustrated at not excelling in much this week, but when I saw your progress I had to smile. I feel much better about crossing things off today. Thank you.
