Didnt see if my social hello-to-all type post actually posted, but in case it didnt, love to all and its good to be back.
Have to do a CMA (competitve market analysis) for Adam S., a divorce attorney who is trying to find out what a house is worth. I have sat on this for over a week.
The whole thing should take no more than 3 hours to do by computer, plus add another 1/2 day to drive by comparable properties and see them up close, plus final 1/2 day to edit, bind, and deliver.
So its 3:11pm here, this means I should at least have the computer-only version redy this afternoon.
I'll check in every half hour on the half hour till I get this done, or 7pm, whichever comes first.

That's going to be today's theme for me. There are some financial obligations coming up, and they can be easily met if I merely do the work that's already here. Too often I become insecure and selfish, and book other work, and things just become more difficult than they need to be. I got a book at one of my 12 step meetings called DROP THE ROCK which deals with fixing various aspects of our lives. If anyone would like more info, just post, and I'll give further info. Today, I'm not starting anything new. To do: (X)morning things (X)spiritual time read two chapters of book (X) finish primary work project (X) take paint off of stuff for friend (I promised weeks ago.) put things where they belong (X)plan and run all errands in one trip kitty box )X)feed dog and check house fix spots on kitchen wall (X)setup next work project in shop area
Happy Monday everyone! My club has a party at lunchtime today. all this social stuff is stressing me out. But it's the season, so might as well go with the flow.

ok so far, club party is over and went very well, going to clean off my messy desk and spend the rest of the afternoon on evaluation. All this human interaction is quite exhausting for me. I am looking forward to Jan 2 so things can get back to normal.

OK, I'm pretty tired, so I'm going to work hard until 2 today and then take a nap.
I've gotten up, checked my email, and cooked breakfast for my housemates. Now I'm going to go to the store and get something caffeinated, at then work on my senior thesis project. First I'm going to gather my most recent notes from the project and make a to-do list. (30 min)
All right, bit of a slow day, but I did gather my notes and make a to-do list. I also went to my doctor's appointment. I'm going to take 30 minutes to plan out what I'm going to do this week. Then, I'm going to go to lab, which I think will help me concentrate better on my thesis. I'm going to stay there until 4. My first step in lab will be to check in with my labmates. Then, I will make two small changes in my computer code and test them out.
All right, I made my plan for the week and made it to lab. I realized that a)my labmates have all gone home for Xmas b)my "small changes" actually required a lot of background reading, so I went to the library to start that. I've made progress, and am now heading home. Once I get home, I plan to notify my housemates of fines for missing their house jobs (it'll be a bit of a mess, since I last did this 2 months ago and it's supposed to happen weekly, but better now than later). This should take about an hour.
Fines are dealt with! It took way longer than expected, since my records were all over the place, but it's done and now I don't have to feel guilty. I also had dinner, went jogging, and got caught up on meeting minutes/attendance records for a club where I'm secretary Now I'm going to fold my clean laundry (which has been sitting on my desk for a week), put sheets on my bed, pick up the stuff on my floor, and clear one of my desks.
I'm on a cleaning tear! Done with the laundry, floor, sheets and desk, plus almost done with the second desk. I'm going to force myself to stop and go to bed...I'll spend 15 minutes dealing with my email, then pray and sleep.
I blew it again over the weekend. I just didn't do what I most needed to do. I don't know what do to about myself. On the weekend I want to relax and do what I want, after working all week. During the week, I have to get to work on the morning, and in the evening I don't feel like doing anything because I was working all day.
What do I do? Maybe longer time off than a weekend is what I need. I'm taking off the week of Christmas - maybe that will help.
