good evening elisaveth checkout

Well, it was a somewhat productive day, but again I am focusing on the minutiae and not the big looming problems. Slowly things are looking a little better around the house, but the taxes and my practicum are still sitting in large, sullen-looking piles across my bedroom. I am not feeling so hot, but I have a feeling part of that is that I am getting closer to having less to take care of now that things are getting done. Eventually, the only things that will be on my plate of leftovers are these two nasty, shame-filled piles of procrastination.

twins in procrastination

If we are twins, then maybe we should take on each other's worst projects: they say that a stranger can solve any of your problems in five minutes because they don't have the emotional baggage that goes with it! How 'bout it, sis?

If you're volunteering to file my amended tax return for 2005, you're on!

ah, we have a trade!

Let's see, your amended tax return for my unfinished practicum portfolio.....I think we have a deal. However, you may wish that I knew more about taxes in your country if you are not a US citizen....

10:15am CI for Lark

Hi everybody. I made a list of things which should be done in the near future, and I started to freak. Then I highlighted only those which should be finished this week. Each day I'm planning to do two major ones. Looks like I'm going to begin the week by eating some frogs. Anyone have any suggestions for preparation? I had visitors yesterday, and got little here done, so my main goal is to take care of yesterday's things first.
Today:
(X)spiritual time
 finish yesterday's project
clear tree limbs from the stream
 general house cleaning
 12 step meeting tonight
if time allows, return family items to uncle's family

Journey 9:30

Good morning!  Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday.

DONE:
-meditate
-make christmas list
-plan for the day
-bring in hummingbird feeders before they freeze

TO DO:
-get house ready for kids and grandbaby to come to dinner tonight
-bathe my huge hairy dogs
-pick up gift certificate for boss (call and see if I could do it Mon am on the way to work)
-work stuff: time sheet, change request and more red paper - so I can be late tomorrow
-sort laundry and complete two loads

We actually kept the downstairs pretty clean since we had company two weeks ago so this won't be a major ordeal to get it ready for company tonight.  Don't ask me about the upstairs.

Next thing to do:
straighten bedroom and sort laundry
back in an hour

Journey 9:30

The kids just left - got everything done today except big surprise I never made the phone call to verizon or reviewed my project list.  Not too bad though, the house was presentable and dinner was ready at the right time.  Now I gotta go clear up and load the rest of the dishes in the dishwasher, and another week has ended.

Verizon....

I had a Verizon phone call on my to do list for the past year... it would have saved me a lot of money if I had handled it earlier, not to mention my credit rating. If at all possible I would suggest you bite the bullet and do it tomorrow if at all possible. It is worth all the hold time you can afford....

Cell Phone Management

Oh yeah. I just blew an opportunity to save money too.

Sometimes, though, it seems a little ridiculous. We have to manage our time and keep our cell phone companies prominent in our minds and our to-do-lists in order to not pay a premium? Grr. I just missed sending in rebate info in time and so, just lost $50. Now, because of an ad I saw on TV last night, I suspect there's something that I should only do this weekend (T-Mobile promo for My Faves?)... so I can get a free plane ticket? Ugh. How much time will I spend going online to research this? I hate the pressure their marketing campaigns put on me, to move quickly, get a good deal, etc.
I suppose if I don't want to do it their way, I can just pay the money and miss the bonuses. Just wanted to point out the dynamic. It's not altogether normal to have to worry this much aboutthe cost of utilities, I don't think.

Intentions for Sunday a.m.

HI all!

I hope everyone is having a good weekend!

In the morning (on Sunday -- writing this Saturday night,) I'd like to:

Meditate
Make breakfasts (muffins?) for the week
Make sandwiches for the week
Run through music
Go to bank

Falcon

Change of plans

Well, I overslept!  Guess I needed sleep more than I realized.  And it's cold damp weather, so the hike I planned on with a friend this afternoon is off.

But -- I ate breakfast & showered & got to the bank, then took a walk for some exercise.  And I called my friend, who is a fellow procrastinator.

Surprise!  She had slept even later than I had.  So now she's going to do the breakfast/shower/walk thing & call me back.  Now our plan is for her to come over this afternoon & bring some of the stuff she needs to do so we can get stuff done together!

Going to do a little weight-lifting, answer some email, then run through my music till I hear back from her.

Falcon

Done!

Yay!  I have breakfast & lunch set for the week, and I ran through my music.  Gonna go meet my friend for dinner.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a good start!  (It's a short one for most of us in the U.S., with a long holiday weekend coming.)
