This was a good thing, though, my BRILLIANT coworker was available to help me figure out how to do some stuff this afternoon, so I took advantage of that and changed my priorities for the afternoon. Project #2 will definitely need some attention tomorrow though.
Next checkin when I get home, must do some dishes tonight and put shampoo and conditioner in my gym bag or else I'll be washing my hair with hand soap tomorrow.

I have the files out and on looking at them I think I have made a mistake of a year i.e. 2000 -2007 is 7 years not 6. Yes it does seem obvious. Anyway there are other issues and I will soon, I hope, find out. It seems to me that the only adult thing to do is to accept that I procrastinated on bringing the case and when I could I did my best to sort things out. What I need to avoid in cleaning up the mess
from my past is my next potential mistake in not bringing further action(s) in time and also in checking carefully that I am in fact in time.
"seems to me that the only adult thing to do is to accept that I procrastinated on bringing the case and when I could I did my best to sort things out"
You said it! We can't change the past, we can only go forward. Good luck!
Just back from meeting with a new and very helpful solicitor. He needs to do some research and will get back to me. I am not going to speculate just wait till I have an answer. In any case the hearing on 31 October will be attended to.
Now I need to have a rest and think about what to do next.
Thanks for good luck wishes journey. I have further actions to take and next time I will try to find out the exact law before I start. On this occasion I had left it so late that I did not have time.
I ment with my attorney a couple of weeks ago. I, too, was nervous because I didn't have everything perfectly prepared. I finally simply emailed some important information to her that I had been too afraid to look at. She got it and said it was very helpful. And... she helped me in her office with one task I had been dreading doing for this case.
These issues seem so difficult, and yet, when we finally begin, it is often more "doable" than we had initially thought. I liked what you wrote yesterday about your preparation being good enough and that perfection would have to wait. I will hold onto those words
Your posts have inspired me to continue working on my case. Thank you.
Thanks for you kind thoughts movingalong. I think I remember them from DA meetings a long time ago.
I have a bigger case to start on. Much of the info is ready and I need a few weeks work to get it started. It is the last obvious thing I need to sort out from business problems from a long time ago.
I'm finished, I'm back home and it's not even very late. I'm pretty proud of myself, usually these articles I write in the last days take up until midnight or such.
So I've got plenty of time to celebrate my birthday. My fiancée is in Germany right now, and it's a bit late to improvise a party, so I'll go the french way and cook ! Just opened a bottle of wine and now I'm making crêpes.
Yes, I'll be celebrating tonight once I'm done with my work.
I haven't done much since this morning, wrote about half a page when I have to write three. I've been web-surfing like crazy. Gotta get back on track now.
