I am going to do nothing at all today. Nothing at all. My goal is to be in bed by 11, I think I might just make it. For me, it seems to take a long long time to do nothing. =(

pro's CI - 10:40pm

I need to get ready for bed now - fast (no dawdling). I'm tired and I need to get to bed early so I can get up early.

Aww, thanks!

Wow, I'm feeling sadder and sadder at all the nice replies to my posts.  So sorry guys!!  (Especially pro in this case.)  If someone could clue me in on how to know if someone has replied faster, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks for the pretty picture, pro!!!!  It is very encouraging and special.  Very few people have been able to encourage me for the little I do manage to accomplish without some barb thrown in, especially family members.  Probably because they procrastinate, too.  "What you hate in others is usually what you hate in yourself."  Seems to be true...  I've started looking a little closer at myself when I am especially critical of someone else.

Lol.  Sorry for the sermon, pro.  Just stream-of-consciousness.

Thanks.  :)

hmm, i could...or i could....hmm..

terrible day, can't get a handle on anything. Still trying to clean my office, yesterday groceries dumped on it, can't see my desk.  hmmm...where to start?  can't figure it out.  i just keep moving things from one surface to another, I have a friend who calls this "being overtaken by an evil To-and-Fro spirit".

I'm tired from driving back from Nashville last night, got home at 2:00am.  It's 3 in the afternoon, maybe the fog will lift soon! Gotta get on track.
I guess I'll sit down first and try to figure out where to start before I use up all my energy "going to and fro".  I think I'll ask God to give me a list for the week, I'm in over my head!

peg

where to start

How did you do? Did you figure out the next action and get started?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.
Fuzzy antenna?
I always blame it on "fuzz on my antennae" when I ask and don't hear anything.  But then my dd had to work at the last minute this week, which is my grandson's fall break, so she asked if he could stay here.  So I guess a long list of things to do would have only been frustrating, because he is a handful, a 10-year old, the light of my life and we never get enough time together!  So we'll just do one thing this week:  catch up and have fun!
My grandson loves helping with cooking, and doesn't mind helping with laundry, etc, in trade for trips to the game store.  So the usual stuff will get done, but I sure won't make any headway!
I do plan to ask God to help me figure out what the next action would be on everything so I can make a good list to start out next week.  This usually works when I am stuck, but sometimes it surprises me what comes to mind as a priority!
didn't make much progress this morning, having a hard time getting started on the new projects.  This will take some research and -gasp!- I might have to ask for help from some people who know more about this stuff.  I hate having to ask for help and I will waste a lot of time trying to figure something out on my own when I could get help if I asked.  I hate having to admit I don't know something, although I am sure nobody around here expects me to know everything.  (nobody but me lol)
Abducted by aliens and Journey CI 9:45
Good Tuesday morning!
My overdue project is now caught up after the big push last week.  Now I need to not let that happen again.  My boss is on vacation, and my closest co-worker is out today, so this is one of those days that I can easily slip into the mode of staying busy doing nothing all day.   I'll be accountable to you guys though!
I swear I haven't been goofing off (much) this morning but somehow an hour got away from me without accomplishing anything, so I think I must have been abducted by aliens on the way back from the break room.  We'll try not to let that happen again either :)
getting ready for Tuesday
Back to work on Tuesday. I don't like my job anymore, so I dread having to go into work and that's a drag. For a while I liked the job, but no more. Oh well. I have to make a living. I detest my boss -control freak, sadist, nightmare.
bummer
When you dread going to work each day, that really is a drag.  Hope it gets better.
