pro's CI - 10:30pm

I'm ready for bed (finally). I'm sooo slow!! I keep getting distracted and doing other things. One of the things I was doing is important. I need to practice something every night so I did that for a while.

pro's CI - 8:45pm

I put clean sheets on my bed. I've been sleeping on the couch because I hadn't gotten around to doing that. :-P

In the morning before leaving for work...

I just can't do intellectual work right now - I'm burnt. In fact, I don't want to do any work. I am able to work in the morning when I'm fresh, but then I'm late getting to the office. Perhaps the solution is to get up earlier.

I'm going to get ready for bed now. That's not work, but it's something.

pro's CI - 7:15pm - it's late, I'm tired, but I have work (??)

I'm just back from work. Why am I checking in? Because there is stuff I urgently need to get done, and if I try to do it in the morning it makes me late for work.

The problem is, when I come home after working for 8 hours, I don't then feel like doing more work. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

pro's CI - 9:50am

I straightened the piles on my desk so everything wasn't falling on the floor, and I went through the membership requests for this forum. Most people don't send me a message though I request it, so I have to guess. I banned two and authorized one. I'm a pretty good guesser. If I guess wrong, they can write to me and ask for reconsideration.

I have to get dressed now and leave for work!!

Happy Monday

Monday morning joke

Once upon a time there was a young lady who was always running late.  Early one morning as she was attempting to get ready for work, the phone rang.  It was an obscene phone caller!  The caller whispered "What are you wearing?"  The young lady whispered back "I can't decide . . . "

I just need to sort out the mess on my desk (straighten the piles) and my apartment will be decent. Of course I'm still not dressed and I'm already late for work.

I was away this weekend so I didn't do any of my weekend stuff - laundry, watering plants, etc. I still need to water the plants - not before work, though.

Nan, it sounds like you found a dissertation coach. Has it been helpful  so far?  You can answer this sometime AFTER you've completed your 6 hours of dissertation work (:

Julie

Hi Julie and a check in

Hi Julie!

Thanks for asking.  I had my first (face to face) meeting with her today and it was really helpful!

I have lot of work ahead of me, but I feel more confident about actually being able to face it -- one day at a time.

I can't thank you enough for, through sharing your "exprience, strength and hope," acting as such a helpful force in my process!

Also:  done with the 6 hours (more of less)!

Best,
N

pro's CI - 8:50am

I deleted a spam message and banned the spammer. This guy had joined 6 weeks ago, before I started approving memberships.

It's late and I'm not doing too well. The dishes are done and I've done some picking up, but ti's still a mess in here and I want some basic organization. I've made and eaten breakfast. Still need to wash breakfast dishes. I'm not dressed.
