Procrastinators Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from chronic procrastination.
Well, I finished the networking lab... at 9 in the morning today. It was... slightly longer than I thought it was. Me'n my partner worked for 18 hours straight to finish it on time. As such, I just woke up a tiny bit ago. For the next 2 or 3 hours before I go back to sleep: Do 2/7 of my Database Lab. Do all the requisite brushing teeth/shower/shave etc. Go to sleep.
Also, any comments, criticism, questions, or correspondence are welcomed and appreciated. I'm new, and heard that there have been some problems with bruised egos and such, but I have a skin thicker than a rhino. Plus, I honestly believe that this process will work better for me if I have some more significant contact with my fellow procrastinators.
Tough day, and I just "borrowed" a half hour from later to rest and procrastinate. My work is very frustrating, but it's rather close to being finished. This evening should do it. Till then I'm not going to do anything else, and focus just on it. Wish me luck. Thanks.
Procrastinating like mad this morning. It's time to stop.
Anyway, only a few things, but important:
* balance checkbook, plan spending, pay bills, call tax person, buy plane tickets * write lecture for class 1 * review notes for class 2 * call uncle again--birthday two days ago
Yesterday wasn't as productive as I'd planned, but I'm pleased with what I did. The main project needs to be finished today. Also I'd been putting off reading my copy of The Procrastinator's Handbook, and plan to read a chapter in it. For new folks, I reccommend checking it out. It tells you things you need to, but won't like reading. Keeping things simple for today. To do: (X)morning finish work project A (over half done so far!) finish work project B (small task) read one chapter of book That's enough, as I don't want to complicate things.
up prayer reflection meditation
deal with phone messages emails post
bath
some washing on
email friend re meetup on Saturday
clean up in kitchen
finish finance records for March
work on craft project
work on legal/admin project
out walk
rest

I got my craft stuff out an hour or so ago and it is in a muddle and I'm finding it very hard to sort it out. I need to have it sorted before I can get to work.
Just thought I 'd come and check out how everybody is doing here. Seen that the website has changed : google ads... Pro said he is now working in a new job...That's good for him. Nice things going for me : marriage celebrations, babies plan,.... Now working hard to pay my debts. Also realise that banks are aggressif and I don't like aggression. So I want to avoid having to deal with them. For procrastination: I am now coaching people on overcoming it.
I'll do my best to use the forum for this month. Yup!, I 'll try to read the archives as well.
For today, I am doing a website - using what I learned at last year classes. I might decide to go for a serious IT 4 years course as I do enjoy IT. So my job is actually better than what it used to be as I am doing what I enjoy.
To Do
- go through colleagues's work - do main page - do the 15 other pages - check the full site - pass my work to colleagues ( evening) - prepare computers - take a break at lunch and read a book ( lunch) - tidy my office ( evening) - prepare my suitcase for trip ( evening)
