I think I'm going to get ready for bed now, even though it's barely past 8pm. I haven't taken pills yet today, and I didn't yesterday either. I'm trying to get myself to swallow at least one dose.
I'm tired, and my ear still hurts (but I don't have a fever, so it can't be that bad). I put some drops in my ear and plugged it with cotton. That helped a little. I took some Advil, too. And I gargled with salt water, and rinsed my nasal passages since Dr. Weil said that helps. Maybe it will stop hurting tomorrow.

I went back to sleep for several hours after breakfast. I don't feel that well. I absolutely, positively cannot get sick because I have an important out-of-town interview on Monday. I went out to go to half a meeting this morning (left because I felt like crap) and get groceries. I'm going to stay in for the rest of the weekend, and just try to rest and stay healthy. I'm reading a book that I hope will prepare me for the interview.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.
As a former Manhattanite, I can say that the nice thing about living elsewhere is that you don't get sick nearly as often. Subways and crowded [subway] elevators is where the germs are. The bad thing is that you have to drive.
If you have no significant fever it's probably a cold and will go away by Monday. Good luck!
I don't have a fever. My temp is 97.2 (normal for me).
I didn't get this from a subway, by the way, because I rarely take them. I can walk almost everywhere I need to go. Even this job I'm interviewing for is walking distance.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.
I should have mentioned that I'm not a physician an am not qualified to give authoritative medical advice. Ear pain could be serious: mayclinic. My mom's deaf in one ear because of an infection (I don't know at what age)
I was up at 6:30am this morning. I went to bed very early last night - 9pm. I'm still not feeling so great. When I went to bed my throat hurt, now my throat still hurts, and also my left ear hurts. I'm going to make something hot to drink.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.
Good morning every one. I didn't set my alarm last night but, I did wake up at 5:20 am. That's not too bad. I'm feeling a little sluggish though. I really would like to go back to sleep. But I'll start with my devotional time, and see how it goes from there. I would like to say, posting this CI has helped motivate me this morning. It gives me a clear picture of what I need to get accomplished this morning in order to be on target for my day as well as my week. I'm almost looking forward to completing them.
I'm going to a meeting this morning and then going hiking in the afternoon, so I won't get more than a few minutes of work done today. But I'd still like to do my full morning and evening routine. And even a little bit of work would be good.
Good to see you online this time of day. Enjoy your hike.
sick today
I haven't taken my temperature - maybe I'll do that. I'm curious.
My nose isn't at all stuffed. My biggest problem is the pain in my left ear. I had a flu shot, so it can't be that (or shouldn't be that).
I sat down to read for a while, then fell asleep for another 2-3 hours this afternoon. I can't seem to stay awake.
Naw...
I don't think it's serious. I get ear pain now and then, and I have no fever. But thanks for caring. :)
