Happy New Year and Happy New You Vic 1.1.14

Maint. basics, exer, plan, follow through, use tools that work     good startermoving

yesterday's starter helped me so much :I made a gratitude of things in 2013 and there were obstacles overcome and huge successes, which I now take for granted because the many more challenges still unresolved.I wish to foster more peace with getting the job done this year.

"At this point, many of us have found that it is also important that we take a look at the things that we've done right. We look to see where we have had a positive impact on ourselves and others. We do this so that we might have a more complete picture of ourselves. We also want to know those character traits and behaviors that we wish to foster in our lives."

movingalong's Wednesday

I don't do holidays. I don't observe year-end or year-start or celebrations.

For me, what *I* need, is to take each day as no more or less important than any other day.

No more and no less.

Today is Wednesday. What will I do today?

God grant me Serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
and Wisdom to know the difference.
Grant me Patience for the things that take time,
Appreciation for all that I have,
Tolerance for those with a different struggle,
and the Strength to pick myself up and work my program
one day at a time.

May we all find recovery -- one day at a time.

Sometimes, we feel paralyzed if we consider a year.

It can be scary if we try to judge our pasts, or over-promise the future, or try to "measure up" to some expectation that didn't work.

Why not do this instead: One day, or one hour, or one minute at a time, we can ask Higher Power to guide us to recovery.

Let us release the past, and find inspiration for today.

Let us share our struggles and hopes, imperfectly.

Together, we recover!  One minute at a time.

Well put,

Well put, movingalong.

May we indeed release the past and find inspiration for today.
